[Kr'stof - Attacking Green wher

Kr'stof rubbed at his head, slightly dizzy with a low noise in the back of his throat. Look! Wher. Green wher. He scrabbled for the knife on his hip, jerking it out and cutting his hand in the process. Beautiful. The greenrider blinked once, knife little more than a pinprick compared to the thick hide of the wher, but if others were hitting it with sticks, well.
He jumped closer to stab at it.

What? Why why all of the people attacking her now? The green wher yelped s the blows rained down and tried to scrabble away from Risk but in doing so she wasn't paying as much attention to her surroundings as she should have been. A large rock struck her on the head, knocking her unconscious mid stride and sending her tumbling into a limp heap on the ground.
The first of the pair of miners swore as he saw the beast go down and lunged at his enemies with renewed fervor, striking first at F'io in retaliation for her blow against him and then at Kr'stof. A heavy piece of rubble struck his shoulder moments later making him gasp in pain and stagger; it was clear that he couldn't keep this up much longer.
The second miner meanwhile squared up to Rilli once more, trying and failing to deflect her attack. "b***h!" he spat, swinging his own weapon at her viciously as the rubble rained down upon them. InstructionsEveryone take 4 damage You have 48 hours from now to down the enemies or you will be taken captive!

Kr'stof hissed when the human swung, felt something give that nature never intended to in his left arm where he hit. No matter! Not with pain singing in him and this man staggering - Kr'stof stabbed at him with bared teeth. So undignified.

At last, under the persistent onslaught, the wher went down. Privately V'ell suspected that the rocks had done far more than any of their efforts had, but a victory was a victory.
But with the latest tremor, some of her allies weren't getting up either. It was hard to tell, in the dark of the mine with the choking dust from the falling rocks and the chaos of so many bodies in a tight space. (V'ell couldn't even tell how many were still with them - had they left wherholders behind?) Still, she recognized a nearby prone form as one of the goldhandlers who'd come with them, even if her wher wasn't nearby.
V'ell knelt down by Kesin and hastily tied a bandage around the worst-bleeding of the wounds. She cursed their luck and hoped to Faranth that this would work. If it did, she'd have a goldhandler who potentially owed her a favor. If not, she'd wasted precious medical supplies that could have been used on herself or D'ei.

Oh shaff no. V'ell was going to heal the gold handler (when did she learn to heal? Did D'ei miss this?) and like bloody gray between would she leave her weyrmate undefended. With the green wher down and Kr'stof going after a human with a knife, she decided to aim for the other one. Branch gripped tight in hand, dizziness from the earlier crack on the head, the brownrider swung at the miner aiming for Rilli.
She didn't like that word he used.
Hopefully she'd kill him.

She hated to be grateful to rider's but when D'ei swung with her branch Rilli felt a surge of vindictive pleasure. She threw up her left arm to block the man's strike and felt a flash of brilliant pain as her forearm broke. She shrieked, adrenaline and Risk's rage spurred her into one last attack. "Go ******** a tunnelsnake!" She hissed as her eyes watered.

Risk snarled, his teeth bared as he reared back over the unconscious green. His lunge for her throat was halted as his handler shrieked in pain. His kill was forgotten as he rounded on the humans, taking his aggression out on the one closest to him.

The two miners collapsed one after the other, the onslaught of the wherholders and the earth itself overwhelming them at last. Instructions- Everyone take 4 damage! - Everyone roll 1d20 to look for a way out!

V'ell - Seeking Escape

Every bone in her body ached like she'd been beaten with sticks and stones. And... well, she had. The stones, at any rate. As soon as she was finished bandaging the goldhandler, more rocks fell, undoing her hard work.
She glanced up, calling out for her weyrmate. "D'ei?"
They had to get out of here. There was no more time. It was either leave or be buried alive.

The man was no longer a danger, but the cave in was. Rilli's eyes rolled back in her head and she dropped at almost the same time as their enemies. Rocks falling towards her crashed into the back of her wher as Risk huddled himself over her collapsed body, snapping at anyone who got near.

D'ei - Rolling for Escape

With both of the men own, D'ei snarled at their prone forms, her mask of indifference lost in the warfare. She hurled the large wood piece at the head of the second man, the one she'd downed with the wherhandler, and turned away towards her weyrmate before waiting to see if she'd done any damage.
"V'ell, shaff and tailfork, V'ell," D'ei followed after her, small hand reaching out in the darkness to find her. "Tell me you're okay, we're getting out of this shaffing place."

Even with their enemies felled it was chaos, the falling debris and dust making it hard to see anything at all but V'ell must either have been paying very close attention or extremely lucky; just as it seemed that after all their struggles to overcome the enemy they would be captured anyway a narrow tunnel came into her line of sight.
There was no time to waste and the passage was too narrow to even attempt to carry anyone unconscious, leaving the wherholders with the choice of fleeing to bring news of their success or staying behind to be taken by the dragonriders. Instructions- Average score needed to escape = 10+. Average score: (18 + 7 + 15)/3 = 13.3 - V'ell, Kr'stof, D'ei, congratulations you escaped! You may however choose to IC have stayed behind with the less fortunate, but this means you will be captured too. Please make a post within 12 hours to signify your choice, lest you be captured after all! - Anyone who was unconscious was captured. - Anyone who didn't make an escape roll was too slow to escape down the tunnel before it became blocked and was also captured. Nevertheless the mission was a success, the riders will feel the loss of their precious firestone.
