Cypher crept into the water, moving as slowly as possible so the fish weren't disturbed. He sat still a few minutes, waiting for the fish to become accustomed to his presence. Suddenly, the pup struck, and came up with a decent sized fish. Tail wagging, the pup trotted back inside the cave with his catch, positive this would bring some praise from the adult Tala.

Smith just looked at the fish and then to Cypher, "Do it again. As of now, that is a fluke. Do it again, and again, and again, until you can do it without trying."

Head hanging, the pup dropped the fish and trudged back outside.
A few minutes later, Cypher returned, another fish in his mouth.

Cypher dropped the new fish next to the first.

"Well then keep working on your skills and you'll slowly get better at them...but only if you FOCUS." He wanted the pup to learn how to do things the right way, so that he wouldn't need to support him anymore.

The pup was silent a moment, looking around the cave.
"Sir?...When will I get a reward?..."

Sighing, Cypher hung his head even further.

Smith let out a slight frustrated sigh..."Eat what you've cought, I'm going to relax, don't bother me." Smith slipped back into his thought mode so he could further plan his corruption.

It wasn't much of a reward, but at least it was something. Dragging his two fish over to the fire and cooked them. As the fish cooked, Cypher looked over at the relaxing Smith, head slightly tilted.

Smith didn't like to be stared at, which was lucky for Cypher he wasn't really conscious to see it. Smith's brow twitched in deep thought.

Fish done, Cypher quickly ate his fill.
Once that was finished, the pup slowly crept closer to Smith, watching him the whole time. As soon as he was close enough, Cypher reached out a paw and poked at Smith's coat.

Smith's eyes shot open and one of his tentacles grabbed Cypher's paw..."Eager to disobey are you?!" he easily lifted the small pup off his feet and growled deeply at him. "I'm going to let this slide...but only on the condition that you NEVER do that again and that you must find someone to join us by tomorrow morning, UNDERSTOOD?!" With that he lifted Cypher up higher and dropped him like a ton of bricks on the hard ground.

Cypher yiped as he suddenly found himself suspended in air. Giving his own slight growl back, the pup struggled to free himself. As soon as he hit the ground again though, the fight was gone out of him, the beaten pup lying still on the ground.
"Understood...."
Cyper whined the word, body aching from everything he had endured the past few days.
