"s**t," Charles said, pushing Sam back while keeping an eye on Amp. "Go!"
It was at this moment the balls of light came shooting down at Sam. The last time he experienced this had resulted in even more glowing balls. He assumed a similar fate would be in store if he were to cut them again. So instead he tried a different tactic.
Long ago, just before the Grand Battle, this had worked against a mecha's laser blast... along with the help of some others, though he had taken the brunt of the blast. He was hoping its encore would be of equal success.
The Chauffeur stood his ground, taking his scythe in both hands, and began to spin it, like a propeller, as quickly as he could. Considering the speed of the orbs he wouldn't be able to get to top speed, but it would hopefully deflect two of the incoming orbs.

Sam scrambled out of the way, but she forgot her computer. Not that it mattered, the one bouncy ball that wasn't defelcted by the scythe bounced straight at it, destroying the computer in one shot, loose parts flying ********!"
This from Sam as she peered around the corner. What a time to be without a weapon.
The other bouncy balls began to rebound off other things...the scythe, then the temple, then the car, blowing up section of the car about two feet wide. Almost as if it was a controlled aim.

Except the orb would never strike the car. See, all the ruckus outside had finally woken poor Alex up and seeing the fighting, she had started to climb out of the impala when she noticed the orb heading her way.
Well, the pretty jacket was fire-proof... maybe it would be energy proof as well? Alexiel found herself standing between the car and the pretty glowy sphere of doom, using her coat as a shield. She'd have used her active abilities, if she didn't still have something of a headache. Where were her tranq's again? Oh yeah... in her bag... in the trunk of the car that she was trying to keep from being blown up.

Flare felt her body begin to go numb, her strength fading as the cold seeped into her form. "You idiot!" she shouted at Laz. "You trying to kill me!" She wasn't about to explain that cold was her one weakness; the battlefield didn't leave time for explanations, and she didn't want someone who'd already tried to pick a fight with her knowing that.
Her right hand was free, thanks to the combined efforts of Shouyin and Laz. Unfortunately it was her offhand; her rapier was strapped to her left side, so that was also out of reach. Her pouch, though, was on her right side...and it was from there that she started struggling to pull out the piece of obsidian crystal she had gotten from defeating Null the first time.
She instinctively opened her wings when she found herself in the air, helping Null to catch flight. After a moment, though, she stopped concentrating on going up, and started concentrating on going away.
Her wings began beating to carry her away from Null, moving horizontally in the air. Her right hand now clutched the obsidian crystal...which suddenly expanded to encase her entire arm. Huh. And here she was just going to use it as a chisel. With the black crystal gauntlet now upping her strength in her right arm, she began pounding away at Null's outer shell, around the areas she was still stuck. No telling how long she had till the idiot wolf killed her with that cold...she had to break away. Now.

Unlike the others, he had no ability to fly, and pretty much had his hand stuck in top layer- this, he expected. He didn't expect to pay for it like this. Laz turned his head to glance at Flare. It wasn't a mean or nasty look; he suspected she wouldn't be happy about being frozen- though he didn't know how much it was hurting her; he thought she was being dramatic. He wasn't prepared for her yanking up, and the darkness that he was pulled downward into.
For a few seconds, there was a feeling of panic as he tried to situate himself in this... pocket dimension, this hammerspace, this abyss he rested in. The wait ended when the light flooded his vision, and he found the wind rushing past him. He didn't know how far he was falling, so shifting to protect himself didn't cross his mind. The first thing was to actually look and see how fast the ground was coming.
And his body bounced a foot or two off the ground when he hit it, the left arm thrown up in an attempt to soft-roll it away, fracturing at the forearm.
Cue a loud mix between a yelp and snarl.

"OSHI--" Shou fell through the portal with everybody else.
However, unlike Laz, that girl, he hit the dirt like, entirely fine.

Aaand, all the baddies were in the sky again, annoying.

Except Null was not so much in the sky as kind of loosely hovering. It was hard to actually get in flight with another person attached. And Flare would probably not be able to hold up them both.
Especially not with a solid Null moving around - quite jerkily with her punching the s**t out of it. Each hit with the crystal enhanced arm - with Flare's base strenght - was like a cannon shot. This meant that they were jerking all the way across the sky with each punishing strike.
Until she hit it the fourth time and completely busted it all up. People below would experience a rain of black 'crystal shards' that came from the shattered side of Null. Below the upper layer lurked what looked like solid obsideon and even it sported numerous cracks.
For its all good though - Null did not just hang around. A bit of glowy crystal fun like Amp who had grown arms. Unfortunately Null was not the type to spout arms. Its entire back seemed to part for a moment and peel out - slime secreting from the skin to fill the gape. The peeled skin on the other hand took shape altogether really quick considering.
Nice big scorpions tail that fell beneath the creature and curled in ever so slightly. Looked flexible just from the look of that beast. Especially the wicked curved in that seemed to have a perpetual indigo glow pulsating out.

Well, this was not the happiest of situations. Flare was free, but she was injured, her body weakened from Lazenca's cold and her right arm feeling like it couldn't take much more of this abuse. The demoness gave Null a single parting shot, a punch right in its large eye, then flew away from it. Backwards.

He couldn't shift like this, but hell if he wasn't going to make someone pay for his arm. Lazenca pushed himself to his feet, snarling all the while. Fur and hair was going black- somewhere in there, he'd gotten ready to actually fight. Too bad it took a broken arm to get him out of the dangerous white area.
Standing on two feet and wiping a bloodied mouth with the good hand, he swiped his good arm outwards, a shadow trail doing the same motion and releasing a thin trail of blood.
"Show me..." With the left arm tucked against his body, Lazenca took of in a sprint straight at Null. His right hand was further back, claws pointing straight at his target.

Shouyin mimicked Lazenca and just broke out in a run at Null. The, thing, was flipping around in the air rather haphazardly, but the half-golem's eyes were good, and life was just all about timing, so he figured he could pull this one off. Bare feet slapping against the barren surface of where ever they were, he hooked off to the side, behind the wolfman and to the left.
Now, he couldn't hope to actually keep pace with Laz, seeing as he was kinda slow in comparison to a werewolf, but he had his own way of closing the gap between himself and Null. Left foot smacked against the ground roughly, and a stone column burst out of the ground, at an angle and speed appropriate for sending Shou flying into the air, ready to collide into Null, right shoulder first.
Rah rah.

Charles ran over to Sam's cover, getting both himself and Sam out of sight of Amp. "Seems that thing can't get enough of you," he said with a smirk, then sighed. "We need a way to distract it."
As he said this, the Chauffuer realized he was thumbing the purple and black raccoon mask he had obtained earlier. He looked at it questioningly, shrugged, and said, "Why not? Looking like a ******** raccoon-man may distract that thing so I can protect you, Sam."
Putting on the mask, Charles felt a strange warm feeling wash over him. Sam would suddenly find herself looking at an exact copy of herself instead of the Chauffeur's masculine visage. Before she would have time to react the Chauffeur jumped out of the hiding spot, now looking exactly like Sam, and charged towards Amp.
((The mask's illusion will last for 12 posts. At 10 it begins to fade, at 11 it falls apart more, and at 12 it's gone completely))

That was about all Sam had to say. Sure , she had meet the guy a time or two before, but to throw his life in front of hers...Just wow... So she peeked around the corner, just in time to see Amp now going after Charles...Sam...thing...
She watched at the gem at Amp's chest lit up again as she then formed a bright sword made of light. She couldn't stop the words from her lips as she yelled out.
"THEIR CHESTS! DESTROY THE JEWELS ON THEIR CHEST!"
then ducked back behind the temple breathing hard and praying nothing came after her as she was defenseless.

It was kind of like gang rape - except more abusive with the punching. Unfortunately it lacked the burning/freezing fetishes that would make this pleasureable.
Instead it got to experience an eye crushing blow - which literally blinded the creature. Not that the eye was all that important. There was a loose 'sense' of prescense that it had. A detection of life, energy, and of course it was able to detect the very prescense of Sin or something to that general nature which would allow it some limited form of sight.
Still though; Sin Vision obviously sucked it hard. First its tail snapped out at Flare and missed completely. Then an attempt was made on the approaching Laz - over the head and down like its source of inspiration for the weapon. In the mean time the thing closed its left hand into a fist, squeezed, and then promptly released all the same.
Enter the world of bigass clawed fingers that stretched two feet and curved like wicked talons. Which - as things went - were moving in a wild slash at the approaching Shouyin. This thing was done playing around? Oh s**t?

Luckily Alex had managed to save the area around the trunk by taking the orb. Diving into the back seat, not really caring much about whether or not any other part of the car was damaged, she pulled down the seat to get into the trunk, grabbing her bookbag she opened the other door and slid out, closing the door behind her. She now had a car between her and Amp.
Hearing Sam's yell, Alex peeked over the top of the trunk at Amp. "So... the b***h does have a weakness... She broke my arm... ruined my nap... and tried to blow me up... someone's gotta pay for that..." Pulling the pain reliever out of her bag, Alex downed a couple. She was gonna be out of it after the world was saved, the constant use of her powers with barely any downtown between was going to seriously drain her body. She would probably be bed ridden for a week or two, unable to use her active powers, but it would be worth it.
"Alright b***h... let's play..." Alex pulled the two blades from the inside of her boots. Standing, she jumped up, one foot hitting the bumper of the car to lift her up onto the trunk. The minute her feet were firmly planted, she took aim and threw both knives at Amp, aiming for the jewel in her chest.
This was it, no more games. No more mind tricks. She was going to give it her all in this fight. Now, now was the time to start tapping into all that pent up rage and pain. Her eyes slowly started to grow black, as if her pupils were dialating beyond what they normally would until her eyes were totally black. Chaos, the chaos of her emotions. She would draw on those emotions to keep her going, to give her strength. Just a little at first as she mentally pushed the flying knives, increasing their speed.

((Sorry, forgot to include your post. Coat has a black mark on it that would take up the whole back, and will clean right off. No damage done from one orb. The other would strike the car elsewhere.))
