Ruuvan looked at the fox then back to D, the back to the fox and to D again; the sight before him was one that brought a torrent of chuckles onto the normally serious Elf, creasings around the eyes and all.
After a few moments and a pause to rub his eyes, Ruu nodded and turned to walk off to the main room again, calling back to D. "Seems he's taken a shine to you, so I daren't say no." With a slow roll of his shoulders and a sigh, he continued on to the main hall with nothing in mind but eating and perhaps answers to the strange happenings.

::Walter just raised an eyebrow, and slightly tilted his head.::
Really?
::He contemplated letting the matter go, but soon found he simply couldnt.::
It tried to eat you? But the Hat is not sentient Sir Joshua.
---
Yay!!
:: D exclaimed hopping up and down doing his best not to throw the cute little creature from off his head. And of course he scurried up to Ruuvan and hugged the back of his legs before grabbing his hand and continuing their walk. Guided by scent, it really wouldnt take but a few minutes for them to get there. But before they did...D just had to say something he noticed.::
Mr. Ruuvan...
::He said softly, and somewhat embarassed.::
Why is your face all wierds and stuff?

"Neither is a rock, but sometimes they still move on their own... I will hold on to this hat. Eventually the man who wore it will come back. I'm sure of it."
There wasn't really anything else he could say, since he didn't know all the details, himself. Joshua chewed spider.

There was a brief mid-step pause as D asked the question, proving indefinitely that Ruu's facial reconstruction was nothing something that would go unnoticed, not to mention the fact he had no idea when this all came about. Still, he continued on towards the main room and chuckled quietly at D's comment. "I have no idea, but I'm hoping to get some answers soon enough." And so the two emerged into the main hall, Walter and some other fellow being the only other people in the whole house it seemed, "Good morning." Without any sense of the time of day, Ruu addressed the two and bowed his head slightly.

The little winged fox on D's head, chirped; having apparently found something to distract himself sufficiently from his feast, that or he had already eaten his fill by the time that D had 'caught' him; and he was perfectly content to merely sit on D's head as a hat. Only occassionally, tipping his head to look down into D's eyes and bare those foxy little grin that meant happiness to him and D.

"HEEEEEY!" the 'other man' shouted.
"...SOMEBODY!"
He got up and pulled out two chairs near the end of the table. "...have a seat before something gets cold," at which point he did.

::He was about to say something about the Hat and the Master when Ruuvan entered the dining room.::
Master Ruuvan!
::Ruuvan having acquired title of Master, as opposed to Sir simply had to be tended too. Walter hoped from his chair, sliding it back gently, grabbed his towel draping it over his arm and moved to Ruuvan and his little companion. He watched Joshua rise, and simply had to interject.::
No, please, thats quite alright Sir Joshua, allow me.
::And he'd slide out two seats, floating over two plates and the appropriate silver ware to adorn them.::
Can I get you anything in particular?
Something tasty!
:: D shouted, reaching for his spoon and holding the fork totally upside down. Giving Walter a slight smile. He seemed to completely ignore the fox on D's head. Though D had taken to grinning back at it every time it looked down and reaching up to try and scritch its head.::
Of course Young Sir, and you Master Ruuvan?

Something tasty, indeed. It kept up the game of grinning with D, even while it waited for food to be served. It seemed it wouldn't be shooed away just yet. So it had plans for 'something tasty', though some of the things on the table were looking rather interesting already. Didn't it have a full stomach? Who knew. It was empty now.

Well atleast the other guy wasn't antisocial, that was one thing that a pain to overcome, so no need to make a huge effort, and thanks to Walter he now had a name to put to use: Joshua.
With D already getting ready to devour whatever Walter had planned, it left the Ranger with his own questions to answer. "Anything to stop my hunger and answers to stop me racking my brain." He was sure Walter would be able to tell the change in his face, not to mention the well pronounced Elven ears and whatnot, so perhaps he'd be able to get an answer out sharpish.

::In a few seconds Walter had a plate of extra sugary cold cereal with marshmellows in front of D. And of course a glass of orange juice, a glass of milk, and toast...all part of a complete breakfast. Ruuvan, was served several small cakes with wierd green filling, and salad.::
Hunger within I can help you with, perhaps an Elemengal breakfast special. As for hunger above, I'm afraid I dont know the question in order to give the answer.
::Once everyone was served it was time for proper introductions.::
Master Ruuvan, this is Joshua, Joshua meet Master Ruuvan, he and Master Maximos served together for quite some time. I believe Master Ruuvan is currently engaged in a search for the Master along with Young Sir D here.
::He'd give time for that nice awkward moment where people one seconds ago never knew of each other or even cared, are allowed to meet, and likely still not care. But, courtesy was key.::

It was truly amazing just how a 'balanced breakfast' worked out. One bowl of super-sugary cereal with marshmallows, a glass of milk, a glass of orange juice, a few pieces of toast, and some fruit. The meal would have been balanced without the orange juice, but then the cereal was thrown in there and tossed everything out of whack, so the orange juice would have to be added to even things out a little. Thus, why when cereal is advertised as a part of a balanced breakfast, it is shown along with many other healthy things, because otherwise they would not be able to make such a claim.
Regardless of the semantics of product advertising, Joshua leaned back against the chair that he sat in and gave 'Master' Ruuvan and D a once-over; then donned the hat and tipped it politely with a grin.
"Not going to find him," the guest said, "not unless he comes for you first."

At this 'Joshua's words, the tiny winged fox on D's head looked up, and gave him a raspberry, then scooted down D's head trying to see if he could get a bite of D's food, despite the awkwardness. He smelled sugar and he wanted some.

Ruuvan gave Josh another nod of his head as the food was presented to him, yet another Elemengal delight Walter had said, so why waste time standing around when one was so hungry.
Taking a seat next to D, Ruuvan took one of the cakes and took a bite of it, the taste was indescribable and brought a few more memories of home flooding into his head, quickly drowning out the questions he wanted answered. All was going as normal until Josh spoke about not being able to find Maximos, such a statement ruining what little good mood Ruu had left. "Where would you suggest I wait?" There was a slight bit of sarcasm in his voice, but also a little bit of a true question as he waited for the man to reply. Finding Maximos was his goal and he intended to finish it, and he'd need all the help he could get. Of course, as his eyes searched the man and eventually fell onto Max's top hat, his heart fell a little as the reality of his friend being dead hit him again.

"Where would you expect him to go?" was Joshua's responce. He didn't know Maximos, he only knew what Maximos was, and what seemed to have become of him.
"I'll wait here. Another day or another year, it doesn't matter. He'll come here eventually: because this is his home, because I have something that belongs to him... and because Walter is so dedicated, it would be damned rude not to."
Joshua began eating again, knocking the hat back onto the chairpost that it had hung on earlier.
"When you go looking for a dead man, more often than not you'll never come back."
