At last, with what seems like a small sigh, the oversized shadowling fades away, crumbling at the edges before it dissipates entirely, leaving something behind for the faintest of seconds - - Something glowing a soft red, something- - And then that was gone too. A moment. One breath. A second. Nothing so far, and then, the barest moment of relief. Through the masses of shadowlings, shadowlings that left behind chaos but no evidence of even existing themselves, they had survived and emerged of victorious. What can be defeated will only come back stronger-
-much, much later. OOC CONGRATULATIONS FOR DEFEATING THE SHADOWLING BOSS- All players can stay in the thread to interact with each other for the time being before ICly making their way away. They are free to talk amongst each other/ etc etc/ before the event officially closes tomorrow and tallies are added up! - SHADOWLING COUNT BONUS ROUND: This is a BONUS round! All players post at LEAST one post after this post. Roll a 10-sided dice. Tess let out a sigh of relief once the final shadowling was defeated. Legs headed back for her upper half, and after some tapping, the ghoul moved to merge with her lower half. And just before the two merged, Esme perked up at the tapping from the lower limb. The minipet went to swipe at the shadowlings in one final vindictive act via proxy.

Amrita stared at the Shadow as it flattened out due to being sat on, but as it dissipated, she found herself squinting. There was something there...something...red? It was glowing...
"...What was that?" She leaned to get back to her feet, dusting off her fashionably tattered nightgown; not that she slept to need the nightgown in the first place, but she wore it during her 'down time' anyway. "That red thing?" She inquired, mentally reminding herself to be a little more specific. As she spoke though, she stomped on a couple of remaining shadowlings, these ones much smaller and easier to end. Whew.
"...Anyway. Great job, guys!" She waved to the group, giving a very backwards thumbs up, and then pointedly looked at the pets, to whom all the credit was actually owed. "Especially you guys!" She knelt again, hugging her fiery little Death Charm and giving his molten veined chin a scratch. "Suchagoodboil~" She preened at it, for once not entirely bothered that the pet was made of everything she hated.

Only the creature was now gone, its body bashed in by something not visible to the naked eye... And the worst part was? Remi could not even see whatever crushed the boss monster. Why? It was an invisible dog okay. "...Its done?" He mused to himself, taking a second to catch his breath before his usual minipets appeared. He grinned at them both, holding Orion the Pom in his arms while Oblivion took his place resting between his ears. "Good job you two, too." Mia had been too busy warding off stray shadowlings from munching on her clothes, and had been swatting at them instead of helping out. Whoops.
By the time she managed to get rid of them, she had missed on of the students (or rather, their minipet) dealing the final blow.
Her minis seemed to be pumped up by the display, and beat their wings happily.
"Oh! Oh! Let's help!"
"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
Before she could say anything, the two faeons flew up and attacked some stray shadowlings, swatting at them, biting them... it was... quite a sight to see.

Jericho stared in awe as the invisible dog apparently seemed to be able to defeat the beast with relative ease. He couldn't really see what happened though, so he didn't really know how it had happened. It didn't matter. They won. "I don't really know," he answered the patchwork girl with backwards hands. Wholly charmed by Westy's scareon that seemed all too happy to be petted by her, Belladonna didn't at all bother giving Cuddley Ruffley Butt any more instructions. And then a little chirpy levathia joined her and she was in mini pet heaven. At least until the monster was vanquished, then she gave good pettings to each of those pets that had protected her before she shooed them off to their respective parents and gathered her own little pink treat in her arms. He got the special treatment of kisses on his fluffy head. "Thank you ever so much you precious creature you! You did an outstanding job, actually everyone did! Most excellent, all of you!" The witch cheered to them all, scooping him into her arms so she could toddle on over to Mort. "Well! That was a fun adventure." She told him with a smile a loop of one arm through his. Content to remain close to Belladonna as long as she was receiving headpats, Master only returned to West's side when said headpats had tapered off. On her way there, she knocked over at least another eight shadowlings as they struggled to stand. The demon punched some more before reaching down to give his scareon a scratch behind the ears. And just like that it was done. Time had faded in and out for him, though it had felt like only a moment had passed between when he had issued orders to Lancelot and now. The zomboil jerked awake as he felt an arm loop about with his, but it was only Belladonna. He relaxed with a sigh and looked a bit apologetic as the zquirrel and foxfire came back to them.
"DID I DO GOOD MASSSSSTURRRR?" Lancelot asked.
"Er . . .yeah." He looked distracted still, rubbing his head.
"WHEEEEEE~" He and Lanna began to dance in place with victory, even though Lanna, ever the princess, had done no such thing to help.
Mort blinked again and shook his head fondly at the sight before turning to the witch. "Mrrr . . . Sorry didn't do more," he mumbled, sliding his arm out of hers so that he could pluck the treat out of her arms and set him down. "But you - you did spectacular." And for that he could manage a smile as he picked her up into a well earned kiss.

Jericho answered her question, and the ghoul tore her attention from her minipet to look at him. It sounded like Jericho, it looked like Jericho, but...that memory, or lack thereof? Not Jericho. Was he like Riley, then? She had heard he was back, but...she hadn't gone to see him.
"...No. Not like this, I don't think." She answered slowly, her eyes turning downcast as something weighed very heavily in her heart. "...Do you remember anything like this?" She asked softly, hoping maybe he was having a memory lapse.

The dragon furrowed his brow at that, then slowly shook his head in turn. "No... but my memory isn't quite there unfortunately," he said before shifting his weight and rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. It was always a little embarrassing to admit that. More people knew him than the other way around, and it often made for some awkward situations.
