Olivia's smile brightened when the butterfly Reaper acknowledged her; though it rarely crossed her mind that someone could simply ignore her, there was still that possibility and all. She had gained a greeting, and she took that as an invitation to take a few steps closer to the other ghoul; she was of a species that didn't make her uncomfortable after all.
"I'm Olivia," she responded back with a not so awkward stare (it was a rather happy one), "it's nice to finally have your name." As it was always, she was so terrible at getting them with her lack of social graces.
"Were you looking for Molan?" Because it seemed like a fair question, the ghoul had gone off with him, "or did you come to see the machine?" There was still a fondness in her tone when she addressed it. Even though it totally didn't work.

Mia resisted her innate urge to cringe and step back as the ghoul came closer. She was Molan's friend, she couldn't afford being rude to her. And besides, she was... quite a sweet thing, actually.
She smiled at the ghoul.
"Likewise."
And... oh. So she knew that she was looking for Molan. Well, at least that saved her time asking.
"Ah, yes, I don't suppose you've seen him?"
A pause.
"And... what happened to that... flame demon you were with?" Not that... she really cared.
When Olivia mentioned the machine, Mia only arched an eyebrow at her.
Was she... actually interested in that stuff?
"Well, since we're here... I don't suppose you want to try it, just for fun?"

Oh, so she was. At least she was beginning to pick up on a few more things here and there with the people she was getting to know. Olivia pushed her lips together as she searched her memories of the last location of Molan. "I saw him ... at the place with the mallets and the poofs." That seemed right, "he didn't look too happy and he made Mjoll very upset." That hadn't been a happy recollection, and probably wasn't exactly giving the Reaper any clues of where to find the icey boil. Not much of the conversation probably couldn't have been useful anyways.
On the subject of Andrew though, Olivia frowned and flicked a look on the contraption standing before them. This was the last place she had seen him, equally unhappy as Molan, "we wandered off from one another," she explained, finding it the best thing to say. Such a complicated situation with that one it was.
Olivia turned back to Mia with a puzzled expression, having not thought about trying to go in the machine with her. Well, it was worth a shot, she supposed. "I don't think it works like it's supposed to," she replied even as she took a few steps towards it. "It's very neat though."
She liked how it did it's thing.

Grendel had been wandering about, sauntering around, eyeing the loving couples, the awkward ones, and the singles who were likely ready to mingle with a certain amount of disinterest. Scarentines day without one to celebrate it with didn't exactly bother the vampire, and if he wanted to be with somebody he was sure he could pick up anybody he wanted in a heartbeat, because really, who could resist all of this? It was all so unfamiliar to him, however. These other teenagers wandering around were mostly unrecognizable, not seeing anybody that he actually knew or attended school with. His parents had been trying desperately to get him enrolled into the academy, and he suspected that very soon they were going to resort to throwing money at amityville in 'donation' form, if they hadn't done so already. Really, he could care less. Fancy students with their fancy school. He was happy where he was, with his band of petty thugs that he would call his friends if he didn't know they'd steal the shirt right off of his back at the drop of a hat. His wanderings soon took him near a booth, however, that caught his attention not for it's crazy contraption, but instead for flash of red hair that had his eyes drawn to a particularily familiar sight. His lips curled up into a smile, and he changed the direction of his path towards the ghoul, eyeing her up as he approached. "Belladonna. You are looking lovely as usual." He gave her a nod of his head, eyes darting towards the machine, and it's sign boasting it's use as one for measuring compatibility. "Ah, were you waiting for me then?" He joked, before gesturing towards the machine. "Shall we?" Was Mort even there? Grendel didn't notice or care. He just very rudely ignored the boil to lead Belladonna over to the machine. ((doing for fun, not for prize!))Quote: Grendel is a quest/guest student. 5'10. pale, shortish red hair, dark red eyes, punk-style outfit but speaks very properly with a slight British like accent.

Had there been any time to do anything remotely dramatic, the witch might have taken the time to throw a small tantrum or at least caused a tiny scene to further validate her love for Mort. But, unfortunately, a vampire swooped in instead and she instead became too busy with the task of trying to cover her exposed legs and thighs with what little dress draped between them to do much else.
"Oh! Grendel! Hello! Happy Scarentines Day!" Belladonna chirped as she fussed about with her dress while simultaneously did her best to smile at him. It would be rude to sneer (even if she wanted to), so she only passed the smile to Mort where it turned momentarily apologetic before she reached out and entertained the vampire with a small press of the button closest to her.
"Oh you are jacking kidding me--" The witch hissed under her breath before she whirled around and flapped both her hands at both the boils by her.
"What a horrifically silly contraption! It cannot even properly sense two people's attraction to each other!" That didn't even sound convincing, so in a desperate attempt to stave off the attentions of Grendel, Belladonna did her best to plaster herself against Mort and wrapped both her arms around his one and even went so far as to press her cheek to his shoulder.
"Grendel, you and Mort have met? Correct? Mort's my boilfriend~ He almost won Battle of the Bands, where you and I met!" Oh, was she trying to get the vampire to understand her attachment to her zombie?
Maybe only a little~

Olivia's response only earned a frown.
Well, that was the place where she lost sight of him, but who was this Mjoll character?
"Well, that was where I had seen him. I wonder where he went..." The last part was said with a murmur, as she was mostly talking to herself.
Hearing about her getting separated from the flame demon made her sigh.
"Boils. They just can't stay in one place, can they?"
Though, it was probably her fault for losing track of him in the first place. The chatter and noise had been enough to drown out his bells.
When Olivia gave a positive response for trying out the contraption, Mia smiled.
"I agree. You can never really take what these things say too seriously, but I do admit it's fun to see what it says regardless."---------------------------------------- BY THE POWER OF SCIENCE! Grendel's smirky smile curled up into something more sinister when he saw the results of their compatibility. Only three apart? How intriguing. Still, he knew it was nothing to get excited about, that it was just a cheap toy with randomized results. It was, however, an excellent chance for a little bit of teasing, which he turned to do almost instantly. Only to be completely shafted by the witch and the words that rang out from her mouth. Silly contraption. Couldn't read attraction properly. Fffffffft, like she wasn't attracted to him. That was just impossible. "Mmhmm, yes, we did meet." Grendel's eyes were cold as he finally deemed Mort worthy enough of notice, the tight lipped smile he offered doing nothing to warm them. A zombie. Ugh, wretched and rotting and smelly creatures. What a beautiful specimen like Belladonna would be doing with one of them he would never understand. Maybe her sense of smell was broken, as well as her pride. "Ah, did he now? I'm afraid I grew bored of the battles and left a little too early to witness such a feat. How exciting it must have been." Was there a hint of sarcasm in his voice? "And how have you been fairing since that little event? I did not get see you at the Halloween festival, Mort. Busy elsewhere? Ill, perhaps? Ah well, Belladonna had found herself in good company either way. She seems to be quite popular with the boils." s**t disturbing at it's finest.

"There are a lot of place to go here," Olivia replied. It was easy to wander off if one wasn't careful and even the forest had seemed like one big trap of separation. So, staying in one place seemed like an odd thing to do while here.
There had been one reading that Olivia was expecting, the one she always expected and received. So, when the machine churned and dinged and did as it always did, the ghoul found herself reading the results a few times over. Odd, she tilted her head. "There could be something good for the both of you," she read aloud. Such unfamiliar results.
She turned to Mia with an unsure expression, "everyone else was incompatible, do you think this means something?" Olivia hadn't took much stock in the other results as bad as they were, something to really just kick things into gear to make sure she got to know her friends better. But this, she had just finally learned the ghoul's name. What did that mean?

So she realized. But would it kill them to at least let them know if they decided to wander off?
... wait, why was she acting like they were...
Her cheeks flushed slightly and she shook her head, sighing.
"I supposed you're right. With so much going on, it'd be pretty strange to just stay in one place for so long."
The ghoul agreed, so Mia smiled, and headed towards the contraption. After several beeps and whirs, the results were announced, and Mia only arched an eyebrow.
...Wow, those results were... even better than hers and Molan's. But then again, what did it really mean anyways, if they had a closer score? Though when Olivia mentioned incompatible, her lips curled into a frown.
Incompatible? Did she mean her previous results...
It was probably better not to ask.
She shrugged.
"I don't know. Like I said, you can't really take these things seriously."

Mia didn't seem bothered by the results as it was, and even offering what she had told the other two boils with their low scores. Perhaps it was right to keep up her original thought, to not take it too seriously and not put so much thought into it. Besides, it could also just me another matter entirely, the other notion was that the machine simply did not work.
Olivia put her smile back on her face, "thank you for doing this with me. It was nice to see a different reading." Maybe they even got something for this one, unlike all the others.
"Did you want help finding Molan?" She asked, both to see if she could get someone new to follow ... and to find the boil herself even.

Mia smiled.
"My pleasure. I have to admit it was kind of fun."
Strange beeping contraptions that gauged one's connection with another. It was... intriguing, in the least.
She paused, pondering Olivia's offer, and nodded.
"Yes, that'd be great. I still have no idea how in Jack's name I managed to lose sight of him. With those bells of his, you should be able to hear him a mile away."
She was teasing, of course. She rather liked the bells. They were a nice touch.

"I've mistook him for Amarus at first," Olivia smiled; least she remembered that not everyone knew who she was talking about when she mentioned names. "Because of the bells," she gestured vaguely to the sides of her head, where the other ghoul generally was adorned with the jingling accessory and where Molan had a few, "but he wears a lot more ... so he makes more sound but there is also a lot of sound here."
She paused for a moment, "he's good at the darts, perhaps he is there?" It was where she usually looked for him. Otherwise, the Wight wasn't sure of where else to look or if he frequented the other areas as much.

"Amarus?"
It was safe to say that this ghoul did not know her... yet.
"I can imagine." she chuckled. "I haven't seen any student adorned with so many."
... Ok, so she hadn't seen another student who actually wore bells too, but then again, she hadn't met all that many other students yet.
"...Darts? Hmm, maybe..."
They had just come from there... wait. Had she lost him at the poof booth or the dart one?
Jack, her memory was failing her already. This was pretty sad.
"I guess it couldn't hurt to go check again."

Oh well, this was a good time to be reminded that not everyone knew everyone. "Oh, she's a friend I met on the Island of Conquest," she smiled. And still remembered her from those adventures, which had made her very happy.
Getting a destination at last, Olivia nodded and made to follow the butterfly Reaper.
