Market day was always the busiest day, but today looking around as Kaguya tried to set up her small stand in between two others, she could feel the energy was thicker in the air than usual. Even on this day, she’d tried to wear her whitest outfit, granted the feat was a little hard to do when one was a herbalist and spent most days outside foraging for that special item. She still excited to see the king, even if the same words were uttered each and every single time, it was a small praise for the hard work she did as a wild card.

"... the King is dying, she's going to be replaced...."

Whispers were hard to catch especially on this day, Kaguya paused briefly to listen and turned to see if perhaps she could catch a glimpse of who had uttered the words. Her eyes moved over the various faces, no luck there. There was no use looking for facts here, she found find none. Kaguya would make sure however, that the information was not forgotten for if the real facts did surface somewhere maybe she could make something of it. The words drifted off to a part of her mind as people began coming to her stand, she mustn’t forget either that she must chose a kingdom today.

The thought of choosing a kingdom was, even now as she put her many vials and herbs on her table, the main thing on her mind. The Gold Kingdom was just too much, too much pride and too many frivolous expenses. Green would be her best bet if she wanted to collect herbs and such, but would be terrible for business since everyone had access to them. Black and violet would just not do, she had no business there. Blue and white were also not the best fits as Kaguya felt the technology would simply exhaust her. This left the red kingdom of old, a friendly, everyone knows everybody place. Yes, this could work very well for her.

With her decision finally in mind, Kaguya asked her neighbor to watch over her wares for a few brief moments while she went to sign away her choice. She was quick to return to her stand, having signed herself for the red kingdom now she could really concentrate on the important things. Of course, something was off and Kaguya was smacked in the face by a card. Sighing, she removed the card and stuck it into her sash until she could inspect it later tonight. Though while this had been going on she’d kept walking and had smacked into someone on the way.

“I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going.” She said quietly, but she’d over heard them and now this could turn into a potential deal. “I could offer you a small drink to compensate, I have something for everyone.”

He lifted a brow at her words, knowing full well that could mean any number of things. 'Too high' was in the eye of the beholder, though she seemed reasonable enough. He wasn't expecting the bargain of the century, but fair could be fair. And certainly, what could be more fair than a another item that had little place in this kingdom?

After all, she'd asked what he would want to offer and the easiest things to replace were those he'd made. He could always create another.

He mused briefly, watching the girl as he mentally went over what he had with him. They were all fairly simple items, as anything too ornate generally left the denizens here impressed, but he still needed something that suited her. A small smile pulled at the corners of his mouth as a thought occurred. She was quiet enough, perhaps that clip, but it came down to her personality on if it would fit.

"Do people overlook you due to your small voice? Perhaps something to draw slight attention?" He questioned, shifting to reach for the pocket which held a small item. It was neatly wrapped in a smooth gray cloth as he unwound it to reveal a small barrette. The thing was simple at the top, a silver metal for the bands that held it in place, and a single pure white string fell from one end holding a single rounded bell that matched the clip. As well, winding around the string were thing chains of silver which ended at the end with the bell. In all truth the string was only about two inches long, but enough that yo wouldn't want to wear it anywhere but the side of back of your face. And while it wasn't too eye catching, it was still more than most anyone in their fair kingdom wanted to wear.

"Such colors would compliment your eyes well, and still shine with the brilliance of our fair land?" He added, watching the girl's expression a bit curious to if she'd bite. She did seem somewhat reserved, but who was to say that a woman couldn't love all that glittered deep down inside. Right?

“Ahh, that’s only if you gamble, there are plenty of other jobs to do there. I’m sure they would love some foreign wines, and some of my other wears. When you win big, money leaks through your fingers like water.” He shrugged. Gambling wasn’t a good idea, but some risk was needed in order to gain more. “I don’t know about the cards, they might not be anything, but they might be, who knows with him.” It was an odd occurrence, but he was well known to be crazy. “Anyway enjoy your wine miss.” He accepted the offered supplies digging out the cookies for now, before putting the rest of his supplies into his bag. “See you around.” He flashed her a final smile before moving off to trade some more, gathering expensive looking items.

After making a few more profitable trades, and polishing off the cookies he wandered over to the scribe and signed up to go to blue kingdom. He had never been there before, but his father had told tales of good deals and lost wares. His older brother had warned him against it, that it was likely that he would follow his fathers route, but Andrew wasn't one to gamble. He was far smarter then that. He knew he could manage to get some good deals without getting too caught in the casino.

She listened intently as Moriko told her what she'd been up to recently.
" I bet business has been good." Sigrún noted remembering the wisp of conversation she had heard earlier. She made a note to talk to Momo about that later when they were in a quieter location.
"I've been well, hunting had been ok.. Obviously could be better with newer equipment." She gave a laugh as she motioned her head at her knife.
"I did yes a little earlier. I was torn for a while but..I chose the green kingdom finally. What about you my friend? I thought I saw you signing the scribes paper." Sigrún took a breath and waited to hear what Momo's answer was. She shouldn't be scared to leave a friend behind, but Sig had always had troube making them in the first place.

While Sigrun seemed preoccupied now, he turned his attention to the other gentleman that'd made his way over, giving another small tip of his head in a gesture of gratitude, as well as understanding, "I thank you sir. It is my pleasure to make weapons that both appeal aesthetically and hold true to their use." perhaps he held a bit too much seriousness in his tone and demeanor, but... Vaska had always tended to be that way; a little too wound up. But he had manners, and knew how to use them in given situations such as this one. His icy blue eyes on black watched as the furs were caressed, before flickering up to meet the other mans, giving one more nod in confirmation, "That I did. I am fortunate enough to have had the training to do so when growing up." now he was slightly curious... was this man another hunter..?

But Sigrun seemed to have checked back in, making his attention turn towards her when she'd paused from chit chatting. Both knives were given equal attention, but the second that suited her was one he felt might be more appropriate. When price arose.. he took a pause to consider.. before glancing at her old dagger. "Might you be willing to trade your old dagger, and seven coins? It is surely a bargain in that respect, I assure. Unless," his hand gestures to her old weapon, "it is serving a sort of sentimental use now."

Ah, and another customer? My this really seemed to be his day! excitement probably wasn't the proper word to describe his elation in mood, but definitely pleased fit. When Sinclair meandered over, he too was given a respectful bow, white hair shifting subtly in its bob cut, the long, sleek ponytail remaining still over his shoulder. "I am thankful for your appreciation, sir." though he was not a braggart, or cocky, he did take pride in his work. To have his efforts acknowledge was nice to hear, but he never allowed it to go to his head. He was a humble and modest man, after all. The inquiry of his kills meat had him give a somewhat apologetic expression on his otherwise stoic features, "Yes, I have given the innards to the butchers and chefs nearby, since they will be more capable of using them to their best abilities than I. I apologize for any inconvenience. Is there something specific you were desiring? I will be making another run soon, and might be able to bring to you the game you are looking for, fresh." however.... there still was the matter of that scribe further down the way in the market... sign ups for shadowing.. would he have time to check his traps before leaving?

“Hmm…Drinks maybe? I’m not allowed near cookies for some reason.” Keel huffed slightly upon remembering an incident regarding them. He had tried to eat one, but it was immediately snatched away from her siblings the moments they saw what was in his hands. Oh the pity.

“Hmmm…I don’t remember where the vender with the drinks was.” She pouted, giving his head a good scratch in hopes that it would help her remember. But it didn’t.

[EDIT] Though it seems fate has other things installed for them, because it seems they had just ran into the vender. Keel looks a bit baffled, but all he could do is smile. IT'S HER DEFAULT FACE. O u O

"No...cookies?"

His head titled curiously, unsure why anyone should be kept away from the deliciousness that was cookies. A hand raised to scratch at the back of his head, then dropped to his side as he shrugged.

"Maybe over..."

Words were cut off in a hiss, turning to growl at whoever had run into him. His eyes narrowed, fangs showing, though for now he did not act out.

"Drinks?"

Yes, drinks might be a suitable compensation.

The growl came as a surprise, but Kaguya offered them a smile none the less. “Of course, follow me if you will.”

Turning her back, she weaved her way back to her stand hoping the other two would have no trouble following her through the thick crowd. The tea she’d previous set out with her mini burner was boiling now, perfect.

“I have much to offer, I have tea prepared, jasmine and a few other more rare flavours if you’d like. I’ve also some water that’s been bottled with a flavor. Much more too, and of course I make custom flavors for those who wish.” It was a terrible sells pitch really, but Kaguya owed them the drink none the less.

"Natives're getting reckless." Cee gave Thana a sly look. "I think I'll go blue."

The woman cast dirty glances as people bumped her in line, the sort of withering look that could only be given when you thought very highly of yourself. Closer to the scribe she thrust her hip, bumping the last person out of the way before she signed up.

What manners this boy had. He respected that -- but, eager to make an impression, Sinclair spread his arms, affecting a wounded look. "I happen to be a chef, good sir, and I was not informed of your stock! Not to worry, though..." He grinned, dropping the act before he got too caught up in it, "At least now you'll keep me in mind for next time? I work best with smaller game, particularly of the feathered variety..."

Inspecting what the lady had to offer, Keel could only let out a disappointed smile when he couldn’t find what she was looking for. A little embarrassed, he turned to the lady and asked, “…Do you happen to have apple juice Ms…?”

Oh man, she really should’ve asked for the drink lady’s name.

Moriko listened intently to her friend, hopeful that they had picked the same kingdom. It wasn't that she was afraid to leave her friend behind, but she would worry about Sig if they weren't together. They both lived somewhat risky lives and Momo was always trying to look out for those that she cared about, even if it had been some time since they had talked.

"Really!?!" Moriko asked excitedly. "I signed up for Green as well! I've never been before and from what I've heard it sounds quite exciting." Momo beamed at her friend in excitement. It looked like she would be going with her friend after all. The thought excited her, she'd have someone to watch her back and she wouldn't have to worry about how her friend was. Not to mention it was certainly nice knowing someone when you traveled to a completely foreign Kingdom.

Her mood being in much higher spirits now, Moriko turned to the shopkeeper. "Do you have any Gauntlets? I could certainly use a new pair." She asked, forgetting her courtesies in her excitement.

She hadn't planned on purchasing anything, but she was going into a new Kingdom after all and perhaps some new equipment might be in order. Not to mention she had made a good amount of profit of of her last job.

Poppy's hands were black and her clothes covered in soot. She lived a simple and meager life, crafting tools from metal and wood. Puffy red hair was frizzled with burnt edges and smelled strongly of fire and smoke from her work.

Today was exciting, yes, but you would never guess from the permanent frown on her little face. She carried behind her a wooden cart on wheels, a collection of her wares ready for bartering. What Kingdom would she go to? What place would she make home while she studied their ways?

With a huff, she wormed through the crowd, slipping through barricades of tall figures whispering gossip.

"She made a terrible choice, and keeps in the Observatory her most terrible secret..."

The small red head couldn't make heads or tails of any of the musings. What happened and why didn't she know about it? How infuriating.

Her mind went back to what Kingdom she would head to, what one would make best use of her wares.

Rex sniffed at the tea, uncertain of what it was or what it tasted like. Tea? What was...tea? Another sniff, he picked up a cup curiously and licked it (no Rex, DO NOT EAT THE CUP!). Yipe, it was hot!

Shaking his head, he put the cup back down, he didn't like things that burned his tongue!

"Too hot."

"Sir Huxley? I like that one. Lord Huxley would be even better." Alastair offered a sage nod and glanced at Harland as he was turning bright red. Pleased with himself, Alastair slid from his booth and walked beside the other two men with a graceful sway.

"I wonder if the kingdoms we observe will be filled with as many lunatics as this one has." He adjusted his vest thoughtfully, remembering his encounter with the Trash King and the unsettling rumors that have been buzzing about. "If anything else, it'll be a nice vacation from this place. Which kingdom are you two going to?" He glanced at the other men, clearly more interested in Harland's answer.

As they reached the scribe, Alastair didn't hesitate to forcefully slide himself in front and sign his name with obnoxiously elegant loops and curls.
