The Fool grinned as The Hierophant was chosen, laying a hand upon her back, briefly, to convey a number of emotions at once: encouragement, an alliance, excitement.

She had a duty that was calling to her: a tower to climb, a treasure to steal, knowledge to gleam.

Briefly, The Fool caught the eye of her king, bowing her head in acknowledgement. He had given to her a number of tasks, in the past, to track down deserters and traitors, those who valued their heart over their kingdom.

A grin crossed her black lips, shifting into something wide and stretched. The shadow did not leave for the tower, not yet. She wanted to observe the others, first.

It seemed there would be no again, though, as the Voice rang through everyone's mind, summoning and tasking them. Hands falling to her sides, the Sun listened attentively and with great curiosity, wondering at this force that could command kingdoms. To her mind, it could not replace the importance of her King.

Nevertheless, it was obvious her King thought it important. She was summoned once again!

As her King finished speaking to them all back in the Throne room, the Sun bowed low, excited at this prospect to carry out his wish, and prove herself worthy of his trust.

There were more Silvers than just the one and Maple felt rather bad for not finding them outside as she had this strange fellow, escorting them to her liege to become warriors like herself. But the Shadowlord knew of them, of course, and was able to bring them forward himself. But, she still felt bad .. as if taking up the task herself.

"You p-probably have much to offer," she replied back to Uru with reassurance in her red eyes. When they had gotten to the top, already one of the other Silvers was presenting themselves for the change; why else would he not want others, he had chosen her and so many were more suited for the job.

Maple raised a black and shadowed hand and placed it gently on Uru's forearm, in a gesture of good faith and well.. to push him along. "G-go, we have t-tasks to complete for our liege."

"As the Shadowlord commands!" Aezeloth saluted then bowed low.

He was pleased to finally be able to render his services to the King. Now they would show the other Kingdoms what it meant to fight.

Turning his attention to Judgement as she spoke he grinned. "Aye, Justice always follows Judgement."

With that, he limbered his chain from his wrist and spun it slightly, following Amarus as she took her leave.

[EXITING]

AstaraeI

Terrified, Shenny listened to The Voice: it was so strong the entire foundation of the Black Tower was trembling, as the echo of its words seemed to reach every single corner, every wall in the King's castle. Yet, the voice was soft and appealing, and somehow flattering: it was very different from her Lord's speech, the only one she thought had a power over her. For a brief moment it was speaking, for a few seconds she was hearing the words she felt very different, as if smt new inside her was born, or something lost long time ago was finally recovered.... she felt full and important, but them the Voice disappeared, and she was in the dark reality of her kingdom again. The King, Her King was speaking, and it was calling her, and she finally had an opportunity to prove her usefulness, and she should hesitate no longer. She bowed to her king, smiling happily and having to use all her willpower to restrain from kissing the edge of his mantle.

...if only she were more free, if the King hadn't had such a power over every single creature in his domain Shenny might have thought about the effect the Voice made over her Lord, she could question herself, if the kings of the kingdoms themselves could be no more than pawns in somebody's else hands, yet, in current circumstances, such thoughts won't cross her mind.

She was hurrying up to prove, as she had some job to do now.

Quote:
Name: Shenny
Tarot Card: The Devil
Rank: Dark Herald (Pawn)
Current Location: Heading north to the Silver Tower
Description: Shenny looks exactly like she usually does, except for the fact her silhouette is made of shadows and looks a bit flat, as if it only existed in 2D. Her sword is no longer transparent, but made of pure darkness; her eyes are crimson instead of green.

Slowly but surely, it began to dawn on the little Shadow that she was one of the few who had not gone off to collect miasma for the King. There were still some Silvers lingering about, but as a native of the lands ... it didn't seem like any of the other warriors were there. This was bad. This looked very bad! This made her look so very bad in front of the King!

"Aa!" Maple squeaked out, how she had failed already! She couldn't risk waiting around another second, even though she kind of wished to see the conversions, but that would have to wait. The small shadow bowed deeply to the Shadow King, "m-my apologies!"

And then made for the stairs and out.

((Enter))

Jericho was feeling pretty damn good after having faced the crumbling silver tower. He had only received a couple of scratches and he had managed to bring back some miasma as well.

He was more than confident that their kingdom will prevail. Darkness will reign.

And so he plopped himself into a chair and lounged back.

Good times. Good times.

Uru watched as she touched his forearm. He watched her as she nodded for reassurance. The touch was eerie to him - a shadow touching a physical body and yet the touch was what made him wonder. It felt... real. She seemed to back into herself as she realized something, apologizing, and darted off. He watched her as she left, turning back at to look toward the king's direction. If he hadn't noticed the Silver yet, that may be good. Perhaps it wasn't the time to meet the king.

Uru chuffed and took off after Maple.

[[ENTERING]]

The Hierophant was in exceptional spirits when she created a portal to take her back to the kingdom, humming loudly to herself even as she took a seat opposite of the dragon-Shadow.

"A good hunt, I take it." Her eyes gleamed with amusement, traveling over the other's form in search of any sign of damage. Herself, well, she was rather dusty, but entirely unharmed. Luck had been on her side, and somehow, her wounds had miraculously been healed.

Not to mention she'd gathered a nice quantity of Miasma for the kingdom. The King certainly couldn't be displeased with that!

Jericho looked up as he saw another taking a seat across from him. He grinned and shrugged, though it was obvious that he was feeling pretty smug.

"It wasn't a grand catch, but I feel as though I did well enough," he said as he relaxed himself. He knew he couldn't completely take it easy considering the state of things, but after having done his part? It wouldn't hurt to get a little bit of rest, especially after having run the gauntlet of that damn falling tower.

"What about you? Got a good lot?"

"A grand haul, if I say so myself." Nevena grinned in return, her shadowy face cracking open wide to reveal sharp teeth. Still, it wasn't an unfriendly smile. "I could have gotten more, perhaps, but I didn't see the point in risking it all when I could make off with what treasures I had gotten."

One leg folded over the other, and she was certainly preening to herself. With any luck, The Fool would return before too long, and Justice as well.

"I don't think we've met. I am The Hierophant, or Nevena if you'd prefer."
PostPosted: Wed Jan 23, 2013 6:17 pm

Jericho smirked at that, knowing what she meant.

"I understand. I was in a similar situation myself. I had grabbed enough at the time. There was no reason to gamble at that particular moment," he said before nodding at her introduction, "I am the Wheel of Fortune, or Jericho. Either name is fine with me."

Though if going by his arcana name, Fortune would be a little easier to say rather than the full title.

"A pleasure to meet you, Hierophant."

The Shadow tipped back her head and practically crowed at that, clapping her hands together. "Fortune! Oh, that does bode well. It's a pleasure, Fortune. You are a Dread Herald, yes?"

Good. Plenty of soldiers to do battle. If they all proved to be competent, herself included, then she saw no reason why their kingdom could not prevail. And when that happened, well...

"It is too early to tell, but what say you of our chances?"

"I am! And I'm damn proud of it. It might not be as fancy of a title, but it's just as important all the same. Every army needs its soldiers, and I am more than willing to be a part of this one," he stated proudly. Jericho pictured a world where their kingdom reigned supreme. Yes. And it would mean that he had helped cause it, regardless of if he lived or died.

Though, preferably, he would live to see the end of it of course.

"Our chances? I believe fate will smile upon us all. We will persevere and prevail upon all the other kingdoms," the Fortune nodded.

"Good!" The Hierophant's fist pounded against the arm of her chair with approval. "There is nothing more disgraceful than one that does not see the strength in their position!" She, herself, would have preferred the position just under their mighty King, but she was not a fool: she had been given a great gift by being appointed to the rank of Dread Cleric.

"You are wise, Fortune, and that will serve us well if the other Heralds are half as clever as you." It was fact rather than flattery. Nevena liked to see the bigger picture, and of the two Heralds she'd met so far, she'd liked both of them. Three, in fact, considering The Fool was one as well1

"And we shall serve the one True King." She leaned back with an air of satisfaction. Glorious!
