"Well yes and no. This place is supposed to be a peaceful grounds for us considering some students haven't been enlightened to their alignment. I guess one would assume that yes each side hates the other somewhere deep down. However I have a date with an Angel tonight, so I really don't think it really matters these days." Abaddon said as he held the dormitory door open for Mica, "Don't worry so much about all that just yet, you haven't even picked your room yet."

Mica reentered the grounds and looked around. He wondered what he should do with his day now.

He was ready to check out the other buildings when a familiar smell hit his nostrils. "Wait.... I know that smell..." He followed his nose to the girl smoking in the woods and without looking at her yet he made his comment. "Tsk Tsk what would the headmaster or mistress say. You better let me catch a drag to keep my mouth shut." He said holding his hand out for it.

Mei looked at the guy who had just demanded she share her contraband. She shrugged and held it out to him and asked, "And who might you be?"
Her lavender eyes tried to figure him out.
'Angel? Demon? He couldn't possibly be an Angel. I just hope this isn't one of Ashtoreth's tests.' She thought.

Mica took her contraband and took a decent drag off it. He sat on the ground next to her and handed it back. "Wooo.. that is some good peace pipe power going on there... Jonathan would be jealous back at home... well I'm getting ahead of myself. My name is Mica and I'm new here." He said relaxing and finally looked at the girl. He was amazed at her lavender eyes.

Mei gestured for him to keep it as she pulled out her rolling papers and bag of weed from her pocket once more.
"Don't worry. I have enough to spare. In case you were wondering, my name is Mei." Mei replied, "So which school will you be in? You know, Demon or Angel? Lost Soul? Seems I only get along with the Demons, but I am stuck in the Angel school. It kinda sucks."
She then took another pinch of the green dried plant remains in the bag and put them in some rolling paper before rolling and lighting it.

Mica was only lucky she hadn't said her name while he was taking it in. "Oh so your the girl the headmistress told me to avoid at all costs." He said and sighed, "I am half-demon much to my chagrin. I always thought my father was the legendary Coyote instead, my dad turns out to be a womanizing demon." He took another drag and let it out slow. "Well I guess what the headmistress doesn't know won't hurt her right?"

"Wow." Mei complained, "First Az descended upon me for Abaddon's stupid joke of asking Az for my hand in marriage, now Ashtoreth is labeling me as an untouchable to keep people away from me. As if making friends wasn't hard enough for me. My parents are Demons, I am an Angel, I was kidnapped and raised by a Demon and then suddenly adopted by a Goddamned Angel that I can't stand. Today keeps getting better and better."

"Nah, she is more worried about me. Try finding out your father is... well probably was by now married to the Headmistress." He said between drags. "I think she thinks that I'm going to get in her wishes way by hanging out with you." He said with a shrug. "I think it's stupid and am not going to listen anyways. I won't let random stupidity stop me from making friends." He left out Ash's commentary about Abaddon and Mei being destined for marriage

"We will see." Mei said with a sigh, "Abaddon has been my only friend for years. I am forbidden to be anywhere near him outside of classes now. I don't expect Az or Ashtoreth to let me have a life until one of them wins. I expect to be forbidden to fraternize with anyone at some point. Normally I would prefer that, because I don't even understand my own kind in the slightest. But total isolation sucks, and sadly I fear that is the direction this is going. If Ashtoreth even assumes you have spoken to me, I won't put it passed her to get Az wound up about you as well."

"I'm sure that things will not get that bad," He said calmly and smiled at her. "Add to it I won't let it happen. I promise if they find a way to isolate you, I will find a way to break you out. They need to realize this is your life and your choice not theirs." He shook his head and laughed. "On the bright side it's a nice day, we have some good weed and are having nice conversation."

"Yes. For an Angel, Az is very judgmental." Mei complained, "For whatever reason he feels Demons will corrupt the Angels at this school. If he could he would split the school in two, but then the lost souls wouldn't have a place to go to find themselves. When Abaddon played his stupid mind games with Az today about marrying me or whatever, Az was focused on the fact Abaddon is a Demon, but he kept trying to sugar coat it to be about our age. Thing is I was from the Samurai Era. If I was still back home in my own time, I would likely be married by now. Not that I want to be married, but his feelings about Demons transcends through much of what he says. Ashtoreth is no better about Angels though. You would think Az was her Ex-Husband or something by the way they act around each other."

They shunned me and thought I was going to set them on fire or destroy them or something. I think that it's the person inside that should be the only thing that matters. "There is nothing wrong with Demons." Mei replied, "My parents were demons, but they were good people. I actually enjoy Abaddon's and Ashtoreth's company. I relate more to Demons than to Angels, but it just wasn't in the cards for me. Don't worry so much about it. Az will probably just end up sending me to another school. I kind of always suspected he would try in order to get me away from the general population. He thinks he can change my mind. He thinks that I just haven't realized how much I should love being an Angel. He thinks Ashtoreth broke me, but the truth of the matter is I am just happier around Demons."
