Kettil shook his head immediately, "Nope. Not a chance," he assured though he looked like he was about to explode from the sheer embarrassment of the entire ordeal as he got up to his feet. "L..Let's just get down there."
He offered her a hand as he tried to recollect his thoughts again, "His voice, it has a way of carryin'. He claims he can defeat foes with it sometimes...?" Kettil shrugged and made an attempt to not think it over too much.

"Defeats foes? With just yehr voice?" Freya's eyes widened as she took Kettil's hand and let him lead her away. "Cooooooool."
She felt visibly relieved at Kettil's assurance that no one had heard their little tryst, but still a little shaken. So she clutched his arm, and took one last look at the room, before putting her head on his shoulder.
Then her head popped back up again.
"Yehr family doesn't makes foods that I am not goings teh be able teh handle.. are they?"
s**t.

The boil led her out of the room and chuckled a bit at her words, "That is what he claims. He's always been able to get his voice to reach throughout the house. It's kinda unnervin'."
They walked on down the hall and then he paused at the head of the stairs and seemed to think about it for a long moment, "Don't think so. My family cooks differently but it usually isn't anything that is super greasy or fattening."
"Lots of vegetables and wild game..." He said softly.

Vegetables and wild game sounded absolutely perfect. She hopped out of the room, and took off a step in front of him, fluttering happily and bouncing up and down.
"Well let's go then, I wants teh meets teh rest of yehr family! Come on come on come on aaaaaaaaaa-"
Someone had injected caffeine directly into her veins.

Kettil laughed a bit and moved to head down the rest of the stairs with her and at the foot of them stood a rather tall older gentleman with a wide smile that mirrored Kettil's grins tooth-for-tooth. It seemed someone had gotten a little bit impatient.
"There ya are. Was about to go up and drag ya down by your pants," he laughed easily. The man had long dark purple hair that was a shade or two darker than Kettil's. The build of him was rather sturdy, broad. Visible skin of his chest and arms were covered in tattoos. There was no doubt that the man was a couple of inches taller than Kettil. He studied the pair with a set of cheerful dark eyes and then opened his arms. "Who is gon' be first?"
Kettil blinked a bit, stunned into stillness that he was being given an option.

Freya was the first down the stairs, so when she saw the man waiting, her wings picked her up an inch off the ground and she flung herself shamelessly against him, slamming hard into his body. Because she does not ******** around with hugs.
"Yehr Kettil's papa!" She squealed. "Right?" While hugging him like a giant teddy bear, she continued to speak. "My name is Freya! Thank yeh for lettings me stays here!"
Say what you would about Freya, she had good manners.

Kettil was pretty much pulled out of his stunned mindset when his ghoulfriend pretty much tackled his Father for the hug and all he could do was watch.
Once the larger male caught the Valkyrie in his arms there was a warm secure embrace returned upon her. Affectionate and warm the man gave a booming laugh, "I like this one, she has the right mindset." He kissed her on each cheek and then moved to let her go, "Yes. I am the one ya complain to when he treats ya badly," he grinned. "A bit sad that y'didn't call me Papa right off, s'pose ya got one but still," there was a teasing tone to his voice that showed that Liseli had told him about her meeting with the ghoul.
"Y'can also call me by Coyote." He explained and then looked to his son. "Get yer a** over here and hug me, boil."
Clearly Kettil didn't steal his affectionate nature. He'd come by it honestly through a nurturing household. Kettil hopped down the stairs the rest of the way and moved to hug his father, "Heya, Dad."
"Y'hair. What happened to it? Thought it'd be dreads til' doomsday." Coyote laughed as he hugged his son and also gave him a couple of kisses on the cheek.

Freya knew she'd never have to complain to the man about his son. Her eyes widened big as saucers when he complained that she hadn't called him papa, and she gasped, before slamming her face into his chest again and hugging him even harder.
"PAPA." She almost screamed, laying the affection on super thick. After all, she could see he was an affectionate man, by the way he treated Kettil. And Kettil was affectionate right back - so Freya felt no shame in being herself, that self being ridiculously over-touchy too.
"Hooter, I keeps yehr parents. Mine now."

There was more laughter from Coyote. He enjoyed this ghoul so far. She was just the right amount of affectionate and if she was laying it on thick it wasn't registering for him.
Kettil snorted a bit, "I'll share them with you, but you ain't keepin' them," he said back at her with a smirk as he now let his father go after the hug. There was a small snickering sound that sounded like Onyx. He stepped forward from where he stood in the room.
"She never gave me a hug, I should be hurt," he said sounding rather smug.
Coyote looked at his older son with an eyebrow going up, "Can't imagine why, but t's her right y'know."

Freya pulled away just enough to see Onyx, and her nose pinched up, before she flattened herself against Kettil's father once more.
"Sorry, all my hugs go to Papa now." Yes Kettil, that meant no more hugs for you either. Nobody gets any hugs from Freya ever again. Woe.

"Hear that? I get all the hugs." Coyote laughed and draped his arms about Freya and gave her a brief squeeze from where he stood. Then he regarded Onyx more seriously, "Y'should know better than to go after yer brother's ghoulfriend and y'should know better than to antagonize the ghouls in general. She don't want any of yer mess." He was growing weary of all the teary-eyed ghouls that ended up running out of the house because of this son.
Kettil made a small face at Freya in secrecy, "I get hugs because I am the boilfriend," he was openly ignoring his elder brother.
Onyx shifted his shoulder and gave a small huff, "It ain't like she's married to him. Maybe she'll get bored of hi--,"
"Yet. We ain't married. Yet." Kettil interrupted suddenly and his father cast him a rather odd but amused stare.

After one last squeeze, she pulled away from the man and grinned cheekily at Kettil, reaching up to squeeze his nose between two fingers. Onyx was starting to get inappropriate, however, and Freya gave him a look that made it very clear she was now planning to tell him off. Just.. not in front of their parents. Boils didn't get away with saying stuff like that, about her. He was just lucky they were about to sit down to dinner, or else he would have heard a piece of her mind.
All her angry little thoughts popped out of her head like a balloon when she heard that one stressed word coming from Kettil, and the meaning sunk in. She was still looking at Onyx when she started to blush, because she found it very difficult to look at Kettil at that moment. So instead she reached out blindly, took his hand and squeezed it, and took a very sharp breath to keep her heart from bursting right out of her chest.
"Dinner!" She called out with a strangled sound. "I smells it now, let's go!" She turned and hopped off, tugging Kettil with her.

Before something else could be exchanged between Kettil and Onyx there was Freya, the ghoul who grabbed Kettil's hand and then dragged the boil off to the dining area where dinner was being held. Kettil was soft of dazed as if something he'd said was slowly sinking into him and he was wondering what HE had meant by it.
Coyote reached over and flicked Onyx on the nose with calloused fingertips, "Have respect. I raised you better than this," he grumbled at the boil before he moved on.
At the head of the table sat an elderly woman, next to her sat Liseli. The smaller ghouls sat side-by-side with their mother. Coyote moved past and sat at the head of the table and there were two other males that were seated that Freya hadn't met yet. One of the male figures had his head bowed down and was shyly gazing at her. While the other male smiled at her in a friendly-enough fashion but he radiated about as much warmth as a melted ice cube. Onyx was ... absent.
One of the males spoke up first, "I'm Shade, pleased to meet ya. Kettil didn't mention you would be so lovely." He said in a coolish tone, but it was meant to be sincere.
The other mumbled something quietly under his breath as Kettil moved to pull a chair for Freya to seat herself upon. "..Speak up. She cannot hear you," Kettil said in reminder.
"EAGLE...I-I mean I am called Eagle...nice to meet you," he cleared his throat and blushed deeply as he stared at his plate.
The elder woman appeared to be sleeping...

Freya looked down the table, and her grin widened. It was Kettil's entire family! Or, well, most of them. She was finally here, with his entire family, and it was terribly exciting for her. She was visibly vibrating.
She slid in to take the seat he offered, and her hand pressed against the one on the chair, patting it gently before he could let go. Then she got comfortable, and started in on the greetings.
...Sleeping grandmother. That one would have to wait.
Shade's attitude was a comfort, after dealing with Onyx. She didn't mind that there was no love lost between them, as long as he was polite. So she smiled warmly at him, her eyes passing over his features affectionately. "That is so sweet of yeh teh say. It's really nice teh meets yeh, Shade. All of yeh, really. I'm so excited teh be here."
Poor Eagle, the shy one. Freya thought she would love him most of all, just for that. She bent her head in, trying to get his attention, but he kept his eyes on the plate. "Hi Eagle!" Her hands waved wildly for his attention.

Shade nodded a bit and there was a bit of warmth creeping in his gaze. It seemed that she was dubbed as 'nice enough for now'. Shade seemed more cautious with his interactions, a lot more.
Kettil had seated himself next to Freya and simply got ready to get on with the passing of dishes and plates. It seemed like a lot of different things were made and the way everyone behaved? It was a common affair.
The one known as Eagle was staring at his plate trying not to sneak too many gazes over at the new ghoul when Freya suddenly addressed him more directly. He startled a bit and sat up straighter, "Y..Yes? Hello. May I ...be ....o-of service?"
The sisters giggled softly from where they sat and Liseli just smiled. Grandmother stirred but said nothing still. Coyote was busily starting the passing of food.
