Correct!
The reason it's done in this way is to prevent any cheating of sorts. It might take a little more work on the moderating side of things, but in the long run it keeps people from going wild with the freedom to edit their own information I.e. boosting stats adding random skills and items.

Haha well how about this then.
What did you think of the profile? Aside from the code being a little cluttered, did you have any questions on any part?
Also did you get a good enough understanding of the basics by what I've posted? Or was it confusing?

I feel like I'm a bit annoying at this point, asking so many questions...
Are there any intentions of opening up an OOC chatting area where roleplayers can come and go to brainstorm about plots or to simply get to know each other better? Or is that what the Personal Files is for? ouo
Also, what should our posting formats look like? I know some guilds require people to use L-shaped layouts, while others don't require layouts at all. And on the topic of layouts, when can we start roleplaying? I'm shaking with excitement, yes... owo;;;

Actually, I thought that the profile was rather good. Well, I like filling out detailed and somewhat complex profiles, so I can't really complain there, aside from the The profile was pretty good, I had no problems with any of it. I understood the basics just fine, everything is written very well and is greatly detailed, maybe we could add like an OOC thread or area somewhere in the guild, but that is all I can see.
edited- just saw the person above me mention the same thing lol

@Ty - Yeah, the profile seems to be a little... Cluttered. It would be a bit of a hassle to go through stuff when the crew begins to update the profiles since it kind of ups the possibility of making mistakes. I'd like to work on removing the clutter-y things, but I don't know if it'll make a difference. For now, I'll just try... That is if you don't mind. biggrin

Hmm... To solve for the massive coding and clutter, what could help is to separate each category into its own post within the profile. Like Offline Data be the first post, Online Data be the second, Stats the third, etc. More work, definitely, but it might help in the long run?

Go for it Kas-kun. A lot of the stuff on the profile is necessary though. I may not require the entire description of everything, if I post up the Master Lists for Skills and Items as reference. It might mean more tabs and open windows to check, but that would greatly reduce the clutter of the profile.
As with everything else, we'll see. We will stick with what's there for now at least.
To both Utsuha-chan and Des-kun. This discussion thread is basically the OOC/random area for everyone to use. If you would like to, you can always make a more focused discussion thread between particular characters in the Personal Files section. c:
And no, not annoying at all.

Bwahhh! I remember! I didn't stick around too long, but it was one hell of an interesting guild! Another one of Ty's great creations.Ty, help me understand the Experience System really quick:
So for levels 1-15, we need to Type 100 Words to get one Skill point, and with that skill point, we automatically get 10 Exp. Which would mean I only need 10 skill points to get 100 Exp, then I would move on to the next level.
Now to get to level 16 and through 30, I would need to type 200 words to get one skill point, and with that skill point, I get 10 Exp. Now do I still need only 100 Exp to level up? Or does this amount now increase to 200 Exp to level up?

Oh you two flatter me far too much. I'm so sad I never got it properly on its feet. ; A; The Guild is still around but sadly left alone...
Yeah that's the idea. EXP required to level up changes each level though. The thought behind this is that it can't be too easy to get to a high level so I came up with this system. Rather than having 3 separate ways to earn points for STATS, EXP and SKILLS I tried to simplify it.

I am going to take note of that when I RP. Exp system... Alright. XD
@Ty - Well, I'm not really going to change much, esp the categories and stuff. Just the overall layout of things. To put it simply, I'll try to move everything around and pretty-fy it as best I can. I haven't started though. Lol. XD

@Ty: It started off really well I thought... Too bad it didn't make it. I would love to see that RP back in action.
Ok, so every level the amount of Exp needed to advance to the next level will change? So advancing from level 1 to level 2 will need 100 exp, then going from level 2 to level 3 will need 150 exp or 200 exp? Maybe not those exact numbers, but that's essentially the idea.
