Emma Frost: Arkham City She watched as the Joker’s expression made it clear that he was not very impressed: of course all he knew of her was Rocko’s tasteless, but expected introduction of her. Stripper or prostitute were just a few categories’ people threw her into upon first seeing her: after all the eyes are the first thing that make contact, if people liked what they saw they were usually more open to suggestion: be it psychic or not. Emma smiled and met his unnerving yellow eyes with her calm crystal blue ones’: pretty sharp for a lunatic, or maybe it was paranoia, but what ever the case he was of course completely in the right to be suspicious of her. Hostile takeovers were too brutish and did not appeal to Emma one bit, especially since she did not have a brute on hand, of course Joker’s men were easy to control: so were all weak minded fools’. She had no problem with playing by the rules' of others': unless or until they conflicted with her own of course. No doubt the twisted clown had more than his men to attempt to ensure he was not overthrown: perhaps his other fail safes’ would prove more challenging maybe even entertaining. She would play it safe for now, if there was such a thing here: trust needed to be earned, although there was also the illusion of trust, not one she could easily conjure, but one that could work just as well as the real thing. Emma grinned a little thinking: what was she doing in this cesspool of a city? “Very well, you are right of course, I am not from around here. she smiled and laughed softly when he said she was a rebel: a little flattery never hurt, for either side. “As to what I am doing in your city, I am just looking for work and a change of scenery. I thought you may be able to help, perhaps you could use a feminine touch around here” she said, in a neutral tone. "Do you need me to interview?" she asked.

Lois Lane - Arkham City Mentally she was doing twirls and backflips in her mind. Hopefully the store wasn't overly looted. Most people would have opted for emergency supplies and food. She followed not far behind him making a mental list of things she needed to get besides the aluminum sealed containers of Starbucks double shots or the generic brands. "Of course I need to make a stop.. Most women do before a major trip.." she offered at first as she raised a brow at his mention of coffee. "I had the same idea..." She offered as they walked in near silence. Maybe they would relax slightly in the safety of a car? She highly doubted it as she walked next to him deep in thought.
Natasha Romanoff - Raccoon City This honestly had to be child's play. Natasha silently dropped to the ground grabbing the chain in her right hand. It did have the ability to inflict damage which was honesty a good thing. She observed what the Red Queen called a hostile local assessing the damage he could possibly do with the chainsaw. Her first objective was to disarm him, possibly fight depending on how she felt it could go before jabbing a dagger through the top of his head. It was a simple plan really and it would be easier to execute since she had already sent Barton ahead of her.

Loki laughed. "I miss the day of baristas and regular coffee houses." He spotted the Walgreens ahead and began to move in closer. "You wouldn't happen to have a weapon in you, would you?' He glanced at her. Just in case they ran into some crazy territorial person inside, he wanted to be ready. "I have a pocket knife honestly.. But my magic... I can use that to protect us for some time." He offered. "But you'll have to stick close to me."

Lois Lane - Arkham City "Starbucks was such a heavenly place.." She offered with a smile as she laughed along with him. Her gaze focused on the store in the distance as she restrained the urge to run towards it as she turned to look at Luke before she rolled her eyes at him. "I can handle petty thugs on m own you know.. I lived on the base when I was younger I loved one upping the army boys.." She offered as she walked ahead of him into the store. She strode in with additude that looked like she owned the place as she flipped her hair over her shoulder. "Get me a gun and I'd be more then willing to show you who was the leader of the marksmenship team.." She offered with a wink. She may have looked relaxed but the reporter was on edge.

Loki smirked as he followed her inside the store and on instict grabbed a cart. The store was rather trashed but there was still product all over the shelves and floor. Loki was not surprised to see old blood stains on the floor. More than likley from the first wave of looting that occured when all the s**t hit the fan. He pushed the cart along, pretty sure that any medical suplies would be picked clean but didn't hurt to look. He leapt over the counter of the pharmecy to see the drugs and pills picked clean but he found teh first aid kit under the counter. Lucky for him there was alos some antibiotics inside. Loki stuffed the contents of the case in his pockets for future use. He was able to take pullets with barley a sctratch if he used his magic, but mortals were not so luchy. Loki had gathered a few random odds and ends, including a blanket, some food that wouldn't parish quickly, a flashlight for the lady since he could create his own light. Loki headed toward the coffee section to find Lois. They could scope out the hardwear next but garonteed all guns were already gone. They had better luck breaking into a house along the way and hope the owners were card carying members of the NRA. "You ready?" He looked around for her.

Lois Lane - Arkham City All the damn survival techniques she had acquired over time were finally kicking in and paying off. She grabbed two backpacks and began filling them with items that may prove useful especially since she was traveling with a demigod. The one that was fully filled had random foods and hygiene products she wasn't going to fully sacrafice everything even if the end of the world was upon them. She stood infront of the coffee area her heart sinking momentarily as she packed all that remained. She glanced at Luke for a moment as she smiled. "Wait right here.." She offered with a cheeky grin as she wandered away once more to find a locked door. Smug satisfaction gracig her lips as she removed a card from her pocket using it to unlock the door as she flicked on the lights that were blinking on and off. "You may want to kiss me so please restrain your self.. I found the mother load to negotiate with a crooked bird.."

Lo walked toward her. "Who and what?' He looked a bit puzzled. No matter what he was happy to have someone to travel with. If she could help him find Jane any faster then he just might kiss her.

Lois Lane - Arkham City She stepped back revealing the storage room pleased to near tears that they had a Bargining chip to use. "Grab the things you think we'll need.. Stay here and keep watch over it with all that hocus pocus you can manage." She offered as she stepped in rushing the boxes of caffeinated beverage. "I've missed you sooo much.." She said hugging the box before ripping it open in triumph as she removed the warm can tossing one in Luke's direction before grabbing one for herself. "I think we can haggle at least a decent vehicle and a few weapons for this stuff.." She offered sitting on the ground cross legged as she opened the can and took her first sip hope slowly flooding into her system.

3 months ago:
The rumors were he had died with the rest of them, but one last parting gift from his mother allowed him to survive. It had taken a few years though until he was ready to face the word again.
Emerging from the pit, one of the servants handed him his robe as he made his way out. He had grown to resemble more of his father than he expected and knew he might get mistaken for the man had times been different.
"I'm heading back home." He said bitterly to one of the servants. "I do suspect you will try and stop me, for your own good." "Of course young master." The servant kept his head down and avoided eye contact with the young man. "Will you be going back to the manor?" The servant asked. "The manor is in ruins last I heard. I'm going to the cave though. What may be left of it." Damian paused at the display cases he had placed in his grandfather's home. He felt a tug at his heart looking at the ruined Batsuit and Nightwing suit that took shelter in the cases. His old Robin costume was in better shape but still appeared that no one should of survived the wreckage it endured. "I'm going back. No one can convince me otherwise."
Now: Gotham City.
He had walked for so long he was sure these boots were going to give sooner or later. This was the 7th pair he had taken from a random department store and walked the soles off. Damian Wayne, the once spoiled child of Talia and Bruce was now like any other homeless drifter with a chip on his shoulder. He was now 20 years old and looking for anything left of his home to restore. He wanted to make his father proud and show Richard Grayson that his own sacrafise was not a waste. He wondered what had happened to Tim Drake and even Jason Todd. He wondered about Barbra and Cass. Last he heard from his grandfather's men was Pennyworth was shot and killed when the manor was robbed after Bruce was revealed to be Batman. He had to see what was left for himself. Find the cave or whatever was left, and restore order and balance. He had to contact anyone left from the League or the X-Men.
Loki began to pull a few things off the shelfe. "I can create a pocket dimension so we can take a lot of this with us." He smiled. He paused and listened for a monet. "We have company." He said. In a moment Loki was gone to investigate.
Damian walked through the reminance of the store and began to look over what was left of the foot wear. He could gather food and splies once his feet were good and secure. Lifting his head Damian had his knife drawin in one second and pinned a man to the wall in the next. Loki locked eyes with the young man and the two glared at eachother. "Who are you?" Loki demanded. "Tt.. Why are you sneaking up on me?" Damian demanded. "I asked you a question!" Loki's eyes flashed green. "I'm not afraid of a fallen demi god." Damian spat. "I know who you are." He hissed. Whoever this man was, he was well educated in magic and the mystic arts and knew Loki's story.

Lois Lane - Arkham City "Pocket dimension.. We take all the coffee with us then.." She said before rising to her feet. She grabbed the abandoned box cutter holding it out infront of her as she narrowed her eyes. At the now vacant space as she waited for the return of her new partner in crime. "What the hell is going on out there?" She called out as she emerged from the store room holding a steel pipe she had undone ready to strike. "Bruce?" Lois managed looking at what appeared to be a young Bruce Wayne near Luke. "Where in the hell have you been?!" She snapped out rushing towards Damien hitting him hard on his chest. "Your damn city has fallen and you come back now? Gordon's dead along with the rest of the GCPD!"

Damian released Loki and looked at Lois. He ignored her hitting him. "I'm not my father." He said simply. "I havn't been able to come back Miss Lane." He stated simply. "I was recovering."
Loki tilted his head. "Your the former Robin?"
Damian nodded his head. "Wheres Superman?" He asked Lois. "Have you heard from any of the other League members?" He looked a bit afraid of what the answers might be.

Lois Lane - Arkham City The fire in her gaze only intensified as she glared at the former Robin before stepping back. "Dammit.." She hissed as she crossed her arms defensively infront of her chest anger bubbling under the surface. "Well lucky you.. Able to see the aftermath of what happened.." She snapped she really should have finished her coffee but even with the little bit she had in her she could become a spitfire. "How the hell would I know? I haven't seen him since this entire ordeals happened. He might not be alive.. He was close to the blast.." She offered her voice wavering for a moment before she steeled herself again. "I've been in the city for weeks.. No contact at all unless they abandoned Gotham for better chances in Haven and that's a big if." She offered with a shrug.

Damian had tears in his eyes. "I didn't see him when.. It all happened. Grayson was sheilding me." He looked away. "I woke up in a lazers pit months after it all happened. My mother collected me. I don't even know if any other members of the family are alive. Alfred was killed in a robbery."
Loki glanced over to Lois. "Then we go to Haven. Our best chances." He said softly.

Lois Lane - Arkham City She sighed loudly as she took a few cautious steps towards the young adult pulling him into a hug. "Your the smart assy one you can't breakdown.." She offered unable to say much. The past few weeks had only managed to make her stronger. The memory of sitting at the bar watching the television broadcast of the explosion causing her to breakdown into a sniveling mess. The image of the JLA or a majority of it fading from existence had caused her to shut down which landed her in the tower waiting for execution. "I haven't heard a peep out of the Bats or birds that remain.." She offered before releasing him her hazel eyes showing nothing more than the small traces of hope she had. She couldn't help but cast a glance Back at Loki as she stepped away. She knew better than to build bonds especially now when time was filled with uncertainty.

Loki looked between the two then at Damian. "You may come with us.' He offered. Damian shook his head. "I'm going to the cave and will send out a message to anyone alive who can answer. Then I'm taking up my father's mantle and restoring this city." He said sternly. Loki had a feeling the young man would be fine. He looked to Lois. "Well. Then how about that coffee?" He smiled.
