"Having a family is new to me, so I guess we're in similar boats," Beta replied cheerfully. She yawned, glancing over at Haides again. A nap was looking pretty good right then. "C'mon," she whispered to Jaromila, beaming at her before quietly trotting over towards the sleeping colt. Like the night before, she laid down with her back to his, but this time she left room for a third body to join the circle.

Jaromila wasn't really tired, so she laid down to get a good look at the sky above.
"You two rest, I am going to keep watch and make sure nothing disturbs you,"Mila smiled softly to her. She felt a gentle breeze blow and she felt at such peace.

Beta let out a quiet giggle. "Got the numbers wrong," she mumbled before drifting off to sleep.
Haides didn't know why Beta had chosen this set up, but he tolerated it. It wasn't too bad. "... It's going to be clear out tonight," he commented quietly, his gaze fixed on the sky above them.

Jaromila wondered what she meant when she said she had the numbers wrong. She looked over when she heard Haides's voice and she nodded her head in agreement.
"Yes, I do not see any sign of clouds in the sky, so it shall be quite lovely,"Mila answered.

Haides glanced over at the filly as she nodded and spoke. "Capricorn," he said after a moment of silence as he returned his gaze to the sky. "Capricorn will be visible."

Jaromila looked up at the sky and wondered what Capricorn looked like.
"What does it look like, Haides, I do not think I have ever seen it. Well, actually I do not know if I have for sure or not, since I do not know what I am looking for,"Mila replied.

"The upper half looks like a goat, but the lower half looks like a fish. ... That's how it was described to me." Haides went silent for several minutes. "At first I didn't know what a goat looked like, so I just looked for the tail," he added, feeling a little embarrassed by that fact.

Jaromila smiled softly, letting him know she did not think any less of him.
"It is alright, sometimes we do not know the things that are around us, that is all. I will see if I can spot that constellation tonight and if I cannot, I would not mind you pointing it out to me,"Mila told him.

Haides felt his embarrassment ebb, as if her words and smile had washed it away. "Sure," he replied softly. He felt strange. This was very strange. It felt as if every time Jaromila spoke, everything else vanished from his mind. Lost in the swirl of thoughts, he lightly nuzzled his head against the filly's neck before catching himself and retreating it to his own hooves. The colt quickly glanced away, trying to figure out what had possessed him to do such a thing.
(( Ah, the awkward moments I put my characters through. XD ))

Jaromila blinked in surprise when Haides nuzzled her, she had not expected that at all. When he looked bad for what he did, she gave a soft whinny.
"Haides, please do not kick yourself for that, okay? I will admit I was surprised, but I am not going to yell at you for it. Any idea why you just did that?"Mila asked gently.

Haides just shook his head, closing his eyes and trying to find the same answer that the filly wanted. Why did I...? If she wasn't sleeping, Beta could've figured it out. She was the impulsive one, after all. Maybe Serenity would know... but was he willing to ask her? It was embarrassing...

Jaromila could see the confusion on the face of the colt and she felt sorry for him. She thought about it and realized she had done something similar to comfort him the other night.
"Well, I suppose it was just something you thought was right to do. The moment got the best of you, but it would be nice if we had someone around to know for sure why,"Mila admitted.

"... Beta." She would know. Haides opened an eye to glance at Jaromila for a moment before staring into the grass ahead of him. "... don't want to wake her up."

Jaromila looked up at the sky and seemed to get lost in it for a moment. She didn't know what was happening and it confused the young filly very much.
"Yes, it would be best not to wake her, I am sure she could use a little sleep,"Mila agreed, looking over at him.

Haides nodded. "She would... say strange things," he predicted. "But... they would make sense." Although he could not see her, he felt her back resting against his. He paused, then added, "Probably something about my soul or emotions." That was her response to most of the problems he didn't understand. It wasn't until Beta explained her theories to him that he figured it out.
