She was glad there was only one scrags left to go. Reaching out for the tail she was startled as the scrags tried to bite her and missed.

Rhiannon turned an interesting green color as she watched the scrags be eaten. She wearily held up the two scrags she still held by the tails. "What do I do with these?" She asked hoping they won't going to be eaten to. I'm the scrags master, I've mastered the scrags! I am winner #3 today! My SN is: catmagick((I hope I did this right))

"Yǐn Cáng!" She greeted the boil happily once she had approached and he had seen her. Instinctively, she reached up with her arms to catch him in a hug before she stopped herself, hesitating, remembering he was not the biggest fan of physical contact, especially from a member of the opposite sex...
...Oh, never mind that! She hadn't seen this boil in months. She stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him anyways, giving him a quick hug before releasing him and stepping back to look him up and down. "Yes, I came to see Alexander." She replied, as though that wasn't the obvious reason she would be here.
She waved off what he had to say about the mess with a wave of her skeletal hand. "Oh, don't worry about that! It seems like there are more then enough people here willing to lend a helping hand." Unlike her son, who had be forced into it, but at least he was helping, and with barely a complaint!
She sighed, then gestured up and down towards him, her face suddenly looking quite sad. "Just look at you. You've...you've changed so much!" Were..were her eyes starting to look a little pink and watery? Must have been all those hormones associated with having a new baby, combined with her excitement and how overwhelming it was just to be here. "I've missed you, Yǐn Cáng. The whole family has. You should have come to visit us by now!" She chastised him softly.
Was Alex's mom supposed to care that she was spending what little time she could have visiting her son instead chatting away with his ex-boilfriend like there was absolutely nothing wrong with it? Apparently not.
Alex just slouched around, feeling faintly put out, picking up bits of garbage here and there to make himself look busy.

Being hugged was, as always, slightly stressful though allowed. He nodded at her response, having little to say to that. And regardless of her not minding the mes it still seemed insulting to him. He was just slightly on edge as she eyed him, wanting to both straighten up and hunch over. He finally managed to straighten up, though his wings fluttered, betraying his nerves. "Do you believe so?" He seemed flustered as he asked, but a light flush was spreading across his face.
"I have missed you as well Lady Van Rotte, though I am not sure that now is an appropriate time to visit." He suddenly grinned though."But please allow me to congratulate you in person on your scareling. He looks remarkably like Alexander." His smile faltered, but he was going to be good right now as she was taking time out of her visit just to speak with him.

She nodded, reaching up to wipe under each of her eyes quickly, her over emotional state betrayed by her leaking tear ducts. "Yes, you look older, I think. And you have wings!" She gushed, as though she had just noticed them, "You must be so proud."
Of course, she probably could have stood here to chat with him all night, so when he said now might not be an appropriate time to visit, her smile slipped away and her eyes widened a little. "Oh, is it not?" She asked, glancing around. She supposed he probably had work to do, and was 'too cool' to be seen talking with her. But then he was congratulating her on her newest son, and that earned him a broad smile again.
"Yes, thank you so much. And he does, doesn't he?" Obviously a proud mom, here. But then she frowned a little. "Unless Alexander keeps letting himself get beat up. Every time I see him he seems to have more stitches. And his eye....really, is it some kind of new trend among teenagers to go without a left eye?" Was she asking Yin, or contemplating a theory out loud to herself? But seriously, it seemed like every second student she laid eyes on was either wearing an eye patch or had and empty socket to show off. And of course, Alexander wouldn't give up any information on how he had lost his eye, except that it had been during a spar and he just hadn't gotten around to getting it fixed yet.
She felt like making a joke about how she thought Yin was supposed to be looking after him for her, but stopped herself, reminding herself that Alexander and he were not getting along, for whatever reason, and that it might have been in poor taste to do so, or might be taken in the wrong way. She was not here to influence their decisions towards each other, just to stop in and say hi to her favorite Yin.
Alex stopped cleaning to stand and watch the two of them, his heart feeling suddenly quite heavy in his chest, and his thoughts towards his mother turning a little bitter. Could she not have done this at some different time?
Glancing back towards her son, she caught the rather impatient look on his face. She turned back towards Yin apologetically. "Don't be a stranger. Stop in and chat with me by Alexander's booth sometime before the end of the festival." And, just in case he didn't, she leaned forward to hug him again, and murmured quietly.
"He misses you."
Okay, so she couldn't go without a small bit of meddling. Though she somehow doubted it had or would do any good. Teenagers. She threw her hands up at them mentally. Physically she just pulled away, and beamed at the weremantis fondly before turning and heading back towards her son.

Noticing a bunch of students gleefully picking up stuff from around a booth, she gladly wandered over and started picking up stuff too. She wasn't really sure what was going on but it looked like fun nonetheless. One, two, three Gilly was piling up the trash in her arms, she wasn't sure where they were supposed to go.
She reached down for a few more and put them on top of her pile. There didn't seem to be any place to put the trash so she turned around and looked for a nearby trash receptacle. It was hard seeing over the junk pile so she started to wander away, into the crowd of booths.

Okay, Yin was not over his own wings yet. He fluttered them a bit, preening though he would not admit it. "Indeed, I have reached adulthood just this week." He glanced around when she seemed distracted. "Oh I did not mean to push you away!" Cue being distressed. He had simply meant her family, because she had stated that they had missed him and he should have visited, though really there was a booth to run, though of course Ulmuka would assist him if he wanted to visit.
He tried not to cringe about Alexander continually getting beaten up. It really happened a lot around the school, and far too often it had been his fault. But the talk of his eye...His gaze shot up, seeking out the zomboil. He had had his hair in front of his eye, but that was not completely unheard of. But on purpose? Because he was missing one? A surge of rage went through him. Who had done it, and why, and when could he get revenge. One did not just take someone's eye. And then of course the feelings of guilt, of not being there to protect him or do anything about it. He did not answer her question, though just how tense he was might have betrayed something.
"I shall certainly try to see you again before you leave," he said, making no promises but truly intending to do so. But it was time for Lady Van Rotte to leave, and she gave him yet another hug, though this time with a whisper in his ear. He was no longer smiling but he waved to her as she left and he turned away to his booth's passerby. Alexander could miss him all he wanted, and he could miss Alexander, but that did not change that this was for the best. And eventually they could stop missing each other. Eventually it would get better.
The sight of a pink ribbon among their prizes caused his heart to seize painfully. Then again, maybe losing those important to oneself did not get better.

Somewhere in the vicinity of Yin's booth there was a wanderer and his canine companion were happily picking up trash - except he may or may not have been picking it up for himself, and was not-so-subtly putting it into his pocket for further examination despite the fact that the boil in charge of the booth was letting people keep it.
"Really, if I could just get a handle on how much I would need to create that one thing I would be able to determine how much longer it would take to - "
And on he went for several moments, making a great deal of no sense whatsoever and being utterly in his own world.Ramenli UM UM Tier 1 prize could I have the Comet Inari please > w> minis sn > kuromizuki

The one game she didn't want to play again.. but Freya was toughing it out, returning to the scrags game just as she would with all the others, to try and win herself all of the things. The minipet scrambled through the maze, and she fought to try and follow it with her eyes, looking for the perfect chance to snag it without suffering any biting or too much touching.

It was so quick. Freya was so hesitant. This would not end well. Her fingers kept pulling back, almost touching it but not yet wanting to actually feel the rough fur on her fingertips, or catch it's attention as it scurried through the maze and away from her.

Finally, the scrags was getting far too close to the end, and Freya knew it was now or never. She lunged for it, making a tiny squeaking noise as her hands reached out.. and felt the thick of the scrags body between her fingertips. Grossgrossgrossgross- "I caughts it!" She called out, before quickly putting it back in it's cage. I'm the scrags master, I've mastered the scrags! I am winner #4 today! My SN is: Alania

While she was quick to try and get away, Freya stopped at a piece of paper fallen on the floor. She snatched it up, unfolded it, and read the words. It was a love letter, and it wasn't signed, so she looked around, but no one looked like they'd lost it..
Besides..
Giggling, she pocketed the letter and hopped off to continue her search.

He'd made his way back towards this booth intending to try catching a few more scrags, and instead he'd somehow found himself volunteering to help clean up the litter surrounding the booth. There were a number of other students doing the same, however, so after a few minutes of looking around, he ended up with just two pieces of junk. Huh. Deciding that he didn't quite feel up to facing the booth host's look of disdain at such a pitiful offering, he pocketed it, deciding to come back later to attempt catching scrags again...
