Mion looked over at the guards as she reached the door.
Hmm..no isn't the best time to ask Chiiri questions...
if I have read about this Village and if I'm right,
The guards will tell Bachan...
That won't be good. She can't know we have a person from
Mii Village living here of all places.
"No, I think I'm okay. Let's go."
Mion led the way out of the door.

"Alrighty." Chiiri smiled, following behind.
"I've heard a lot of stories behind this village. Is there anything I should know? Sensitive topics? Things of that nature?"

"There's nothing I can really think of at this point that you really need to know. The Village is nice and peaceful. As long as you're the same, you should be fine."
Mion was lying. There were tons of things about this Village Chiiri
should not bring up...but if she isn't told them,
she won't bring them up. Sometimes ignorance truly is bliss.
It wasn't that Mion wanted to hide these things from
Chiiri, but more that she had to. Onigafuchi Village,
Oyashiro-sama's curse, the Dam construction,
the Murders...Mion loved Hinamizawa.
She didn't want anyone else to think it was a horrible place .
But mention all of those things and it suddenly turns into hell.
And if Oyashiro-sama is mentioned,
Rena might bring up the curse that
she believes she's under because she left and then--
Mion shook it off, she didn't want to think of it anymore.
She just wanted to have fun.

Liar.
"Oh, well this will be a nice change of pace, then!" She said, now walking alongside Mion. She still made sure to keep notice of the guards behind her.
"Oh..I can't wait to get to bed! It's getting pretty late and Oliver and I are exhausted."
Chiiri did her research on this town. She wasn't dumb. But whether or not Mion was trying to protect Chiiri or keep her in the dark remained to be seen. She seemed nice, so Chiiri would give her the benefit of the doubt. As for Rena, she seemed to be more trouble than what she was worth. Regardless, Chiiri was keeping an open mind. For all she knew, these people could just be having some kind of "off" day.

Rena wasn't very happy about how curious Chiiri was, why couldn't the girl just mind her own business? She couldn't blame her though, for her and Chirri were both curious theorists and hunters of truth. She wondered if Mion felt the same way she did, not wanting to say anything. If she spoke her mind she might lose control of herself which wouldn't be the best thing around Mion's guards, who would probably restrain her. Maybe, if Rena were to just answer Chiiri's questions she'd just stop asking, that was might be worth a shot, but she'd leave all the answers for later. For now she would just be an observer. Rena scratched her arm a bit then turned her head toward Chiiri and Mion then turned back to face the path ahead of her.

Oliver was resting on Chiiri's shoulders, but his head was turned, staring at Rena with bright yellow eyes. For a cat, his face seemed very serious.
Chiiri turned her head and looked at Rena. "How about you? Do you have any questions, Rena?"
Oliver continued to stare briefly, before licking his lips and facing forward.
Rena's been awfully quiet....

Rena was getting tired of questions, that's all this seemed to be, but if it was an awkward question game, Rena figured she might as well have some fun looking into things she shouldn't be. She had this darker side to her, one where if the universe decide to tinker with her she would tinker back. For whatever reason this happened when she felt she was in a high stress situation. So she paced forward and kicked a small stone down the road "So Chiiri, are you living alone without any parents, or are they just out, where are they?" Rena was suspicious of Chiiri's parents not being home, maybe there was something deeper there.

Oliver growled loudly, baring his teeth and claws. Chiiri whispered to him,
"silentium".
The cat relaxed, but kept both eyes trained on the orange-haired girl.
"My parents are on vaca- They're on a business trip, Rena. They had to leave town for awhile." Her eyes were dark, and her voice was the same sullen one from earlier.
b***h.
Chiiri opened her mouth to continue, but decided not to waste her own time. "Mion...maybe I should head back home and let you two have tonight together." Both her eyes and Oliver's were trained on Rena. Not so much as a twitch or a wayward glance.

Rena's voice lost it's typical cheery town "Well ok, I just thought it was really strange that they'd leave their daughter in some strange town in what seems like a house they haven't done much with. But it's okay if you're not telling us something, we all have our secrets." Rena then faced Mion her deemner reverting back to normal as she smiled cheekily. "I hope Chiiri can stay the night, but it's cool with me if it's just me and you. Rena actually did want Cherii to stay the night, despite her being mad at Cherii. She wanted to tell her about the curse, and there may have been a bit of guilt in there too, but everything was up to if Mion could convince Cherii or just let her go home and think.

Mion tried to ignore the situation as much as possible but it seemed the two weren't getting along very well
. Although Mion did have to agree with Rena about Chiiri's parents.
Something didn't seem right there. Keiichi's parents leave him on his own all the time though she thought.
It could be the same thing...or maybe not.
Hearing Chiiri's voice directed at her,
Mion looked at them noticed their stare down.
"Well...I suppose it's up to you Chiiri-chan,
It would be nice to have you accompany us.
Rather than being in the house alone.
And we are almost to my house."
Mion stopped walking and turned to the two.

Oliver's tail rocked back and forth, a low growl on his lips.
"Sure, I'll stay the night." Her voice didn't return to it's cheery tone.
She walked forward, catching up with Mion. Chiiri was done. She was too exhausted to fight or do much of anything, really. Oliver rubbed up against Chiiri's neck, trying to make her feel better.

After nodding at Chiiri and Rena,
Mion continued walking to her house until she reached the front gate.
Looking behind them she saw the guards walk up to them,
she opened the gate and let everybody in before closing it again.
Now that they were safe inside the walls,
Mion bowed at the guards and they exchanged
a bow back before going on their way.
Mion walked up to her front porch and sat down.
"Ah..it feels good to relax, this old man might have out done herself today."

Chiiri was pretty silent through the walk home. She watched as Mion said goodbye to the guards.
"I'm glad they were there...If they weren't we might have been attacked by a dragon."
She sat down with Mion, and Oliver crawled across Chiiri's lap and sat on Mion's, pawing at it before lying down. Chiiri smiled and looked up at the sky.
"Wow....look at all those stars." There were hardly any stars that shined in the city. It was all smog, there.

Mion laughed,
"Yeah, a terrible dragon that would have kidnapped
us and fed all three of us to it's new borns.
And no knights would have been there to rescue is."
Placing a hand on Oliver and gently petting him,
Mion looked at the sky with Chiiri.
"That's the best thing about Hinamizawa
, the fresh country air and clear skies are the best.
Sometimes people need to look up at the sky above to see if it's okay.
If there's dust and pollution in the air, you could never be certain.
Although, that certainty was almost destroyed long ago..."

"I think I like it here. Thanks for treating me so well, Mion." Chiiri loved the feel of the breeze through her hair.
As much as she wanted to stay and watch the stars, she began nodding off.
"Hey...Mion...this is fun and all, but I'm about ready for bed."
Oliver had been sleeping all throughout the day, but being the cat he is, he could never get enough sleep. Chiiri remembered the song her mother used to sing to her and Oliver when she was younger.
Sing me to sleep...
Sing me to sleep...
I'm tired...
And I...
Want to go to bed~
She closed her eyes and hummed the song to herself.
