Spinel snuck forward and pounced on the angry pokemon's tail again, but this time as soon as he hit she whipped that tail around and smacked him away.
Lyle could tell his pokemon was getting really hurt. "Spinel, some on back," he called, and the pokemon obediently started threading his way through the crowd to get back to his boy.

"Mew!" Kumiko squeaked as the kangaskhan suddenly smashed him out of the air using her tail. He spun away, hit the ground, and skidded to a stop at Ai's feet.
"Kumiko...!" She was starting to sound like a broken record. She scooped him up and looked about ready to cry.

The giant Pokémon broke free and snapped at her assailant, but her still-cold joints stopped her just short of the Delibird. Caddie obliviously licked at a snowball held in her flippers. Kale managed to clamp onto the Kangaskhan's tail and tugged on it. The Kangaskhan growled, and threw him off, causing him to slide back a couple feet.

Rumble wasn't going to give in. He charged and assaulted the kanga again harder than ever, though she managed to dodge his last attack, he too dodged her's. He was hoping only for a repeat of the latter.
