Ofelia made it over just in time to the second bug to see someone missing, their shield starting to fizzle. This was one of the new people, one of them that was being told what to do, and she quickly struck the creature and made it to their side to help get them their feet. Her shield was okay for now so she had the right to move, and her hand pushed her weapon backward a bit so her grip wouldn't hurt Roland.
"Come on, ya got this!" Her tone was weird but she was trying to be friendly enough? The hissing started back on her though and she couldn't stay much longer. "Jus' punch like ya mean it!"

Ryan expected they would be met with some sort of resistance when they passed through the portal. But he never expected to see these things right off the bat. It was going to be like the Sahara all over again. Just seeing the twin centipedes was bringing back bad memories of that place.
Swallowing hard, he summoned both gauntlets in an instant and rushed toward the enemy with the other trainees and newly promoted hunters. He himself didn't expect to do much to the twin behemoths, but with the mass of hunters attacking like a swarm of angry wasps, they could certainly deal a considerable amount of damage to the beasts.Quote: ATTACKING BOSS 1 OR 2: 1

Kat cringed upon seeing the two behemoth like bugs explode out of the ground. Out of all the things they had to fight, bugs were not something she was willing to run at--especially when they were massive in size. Luckily for her, Xedis was a long ranged weapon, and was able to fire two successful shots from a fair distance.

She waited for an opening in the initial flurry of attacks, hanging back until she spotted an opening. Then she leapt forward, driving Kouki's blades into the soft spot between two segments on the first centipede's back. The acid showered over her, and just as before she felt the strange tingle as it melded with Kouki's FEAR shield. Turning around he planted Sylvia in the ground staring back at the other three hunters as Sylvia started to calm down.
"I CAN BARELY HEAR OVER THE BANSHEE IN MY HEAD DAMMIT! STOP YELLING AT ME ALREADY!" He was rather cross at the moment. So irritated he didn't notice the giant bug tumbling down in its death spasam behind him.

So the second head, or first head (whatever) went down thanks to Roland and Ofelia felt her shield level itself out. It was time to take down the second creature (or first) and that shouldn't have been so hard. . . .except now her shield was back to normal and its spitting was bad and holy s**t. . . .
. . . for the first time since the battle started she missed.
A hiss of pain escaped her lips as her shield started to get eaten, Rue cursing at her a thousand miles an hour for not releasing her and using a FEAR attack. Part of Ofelia felt it would still be best for her to hold on to it, just in case, but seeing as this head was spewing and had nothing to balance it out this was a bad, bad idea. The bubbling on her shield attested to that and she used all of her shelf control to not reach over and wipe it off her bare skin. This was not cool.
Very, very not cool.
At least one thing was dead now, everyone could focus on the other and maybe she wouldn't have to hit it again and risk getting burned even more?
. . . ahahaha who was she kidding Ofelia liked to punch things.

It was strange to see Rep even smirk, smiling just didnt happen. Leon was sure it was not physically possible for the sun hunter. His mind.WAS BLOWN. "you miss getting your butt whooped rep?" leon added helpfully as he too joined in the yelling and barked at Ro as well. "Hey Meatbag, get your lazy butt up and get back to attacking! hustle, hustle hustle!" This was the one time where it was possible to bond with the normally abrasive hunter. Scary.

Rep gave the screaming flailing mist hunter a long stare as ye yelled about the banshee in his head immediately after his attack. The absurdity of the entire thing, coupled with the thrill of the fight, and the madness that was actually getting along with Leon was too much. He couldn't help but laugh like a madman.
Sadly it was a short lived laugh as the worm toppled and he had to make a quick dash out of its trajectory as it hit the sand.
"Oh I dunno, my butt doesn't feel whooped yet." he snickered to Leon as he used Tracey to vault the final few meters as the creature went into its death throes behind them.
The hiss of the acid on his shield quickly brought him back into the game however, as he hurried in the direction of the remaining centipede.

And there they were, going back into the Sahara. So many things happened in this hellish desert. It didn't look like there was much around here... yet. That was soon changed as a pair of familiar giant centipedes erupted from the ground to deal with them. There was a sense of deja vu here. Hopefully, this wouldn't end the same way the last time they had been in this place and dealt with the centipedes. "Not a good sign..Nope."Letting out a sigh, he called Tooley forth then tried to see where he could get in a decent hit. It wasn't easy. Bodies were rushing all around to deal with the giant monsters. When he was finally able to get in a hit, his blade barely managed to sink in all that deep.
