Upon entering the room, she smelled a faint metallic tang hanging around the room. Something that smelled like... blood. Yes, this smell was definitely blood, but from where, she had no idea. Looking around discreetly for the source, she found a girl lying down. It was the new girl that had been a little late as she was about to leave to go to another classroom. Looking closely, she found a little blood smudged on her index finger, that looked like it had been wiped sideways. Her face had peeked out from her sitting place, and a little bit of the blood was still around her face a little, although it seemed like she had been able to get most of it off. Looking at the trash bin, there was a ripped syllabus that was quite bloody. 'She wiped off a nosebleed with her... syllabus? Hmm..' she thought. Backing off from the classroom, Sakura went to the bathroom and got a wad of paper towels. She sprinkled a little water on some of them, and left others dry. Taking it back to the classroom, she gently went back in, and silently set them on the desk, next to the girl in hopes that she would see them when she opened her eyes again and felt a little better.

He didn't seem to get tired, as he was just going in a gentle jogging pace from what she could tell from the academy. The other two that were supposed to be sparring were at a slight standstill, and the white haired Inuzuka girl was finally working on her hand seals.Stretching her arms, she went back to her seat to practice the melding a little bit more, but the different environment seemed to distract her again. She would really need to get used to doing this and finish the process already. Before that though, she would need to rest and relax fully before going back to her lesson. Sighing as she let go of the precious chakra, she decided to sit back and relax, watching the others as they did their work.

Yae heard the rippling of tissues, and a miniscule wet plop next to her on the desk. Exhausted, by the time she lifter her head the pink haired girl was already walking away. Since she was the latest student to show up, Yae had no clue who she was, let alone why she had been so courteous.
"Thank you," Yae called out after the stranger, dabbing the warm wet paper against her cheek. Once she felt all the dried blood had been cleaned away she used the dry cloth to wipe away the moisture on her face. The mess dealt with, she stood up going over to where the other girl had sat down. She wasn't the best at getting along with others, but she knew she'd have to if she planned on moving on to working in a squad. And this girl seemed to be kind, so how hard could she be to get along with.
"Hi," she greeted with her with a small smile. "I'm Yae. I haven't seen you around, so you must be new?"

Sakura was comfortably seated in front of the window, looking outside and enjoying the scene when the new girl, now clean and smudge-free, called out to her, saying thank you. Well. It seemed she was back from being dazed. She seemed like a nice enough girl. Upon recieving the greeting, she smiled and waved, pulling up a seat next to the windowsill for the girl to sit.
"Hajimemashite Yae-san. My name is Sakurayuki. You can call me Sakura or Yuki for short." she said. "I know it's quite a mouthful sometimes," she added, almost as an afterthought, grinning a little.
It seemed that Yae was another advanced student, based on the introductory statement. Good, this was her chance to get to know how the academy had been like before she had come. It looked to her as if there was so much going on and changing, and Yuki wanted to ask a couple things about this Academy. That, and she was pretty nice.
"I just started the Academy today. I was practicing my chakra molding a little bit ago. I thought I saw you running your tracks. Did you come back in to rest? Konoha can get really hot sometimes, and it's not all that uncommon to overheat in this weather." she said. "So, are you advanced too?" Yuki asked, curious. It seemed so, but it couldn't hurt to check.

"Hajimemashite, Sakurayuki-san," she replied, sounding winded despite the short distance between her desk and the window. Yae took the chair she was offered, glad to rest, though a view of the track wasn't exactly her idea of relaxing scenery. When the other girl mentioned seeing her failed attempts at jogging Yae had to fight back a sudden wave of annoyance. It was the last thing she wanted to talk about. "Yeah. I'm just taking a break because I'm tired. It's not too hot out today."
At first Yae misunderstood what Sakura had meant by 'too'.
"Hmm? Oh! You mean Fudou and the other boy," she said, more thinking out loud than anything. "Yeah, I've been in this class with them for a couple days now. I don't think we're that far ahead though, no one has been making a lot of progress lately."

For a moment Yae stared up out the window, a vacant sort of look on her face. She didn't really remember having ever covered chakra molding, but the concept seemed easy enough to grasp. It was simply the step between learning hand seals and jutsu.
"Chakra molding huh? I should have done that instead," she was once again speaking more for her own benefit than anything. "Well, make sure to take breaks regularly so you don't tire yourself out. And I guess this sounds weird, even stupid, but don't think about it too hard. It's something you learn through feel." Yae didn't like the way her own advice was worded, but she honestly couldn't think of another way to describe chakra manipulation.

Sensing the girl's twinge of annoyance of the topic of the track, she veered the converstation in another direction.
"Mah, Yae-san, you wouldn't like this either. It's just as annoying as doing phisical work, almost to the extreme. But then, you probably did all this before I came here, huh." she commented, not knowing that the girl hadn't practiced it before. "It's great that I'm not that far behind though. I wonder why the Academy is so hectic and unorganized right now." she murmured. Glancing at their sensei, she asked Yae a question. "So does that mean you've learned under this sensei before? What is he like? So far, I haven't been able to tell... Is he ok?"

"No, chakra is sort of my thing," she said without a shred of humility. Yae would prefer the chakra exercise any day.
"I'm not sure, but I think the disorganization is due to the war. Teachers are probably getting sent off to fight, and it messes things up."
"Manabu-sensei?" She looked in his direction briefly. "This is his first day teaching, at least with this class. I only talked to him once. He seems... alright." Yae shrugged. She tended to have a prejudice against musclebound people. She thought they were exclusively morons, though she wouldn't directly say it.
"You ask a lot of questions." It wasn't meant as an insult, just a blunt statement. "Are your parents shinobi? And do you know what you want to do? Medic-nin, ranged specialist, genjutsu?"

Hearing the helpful hint to the training, she thanked Yae. Any and all help would be appreciated in this excercise, if she wanted to keep at it.
"Ah, I see." she simply said in reply to her remarks of preference. For her, she really didn't have much of an idea as to what she really preferred, but definitely knew that physical training would be much harder on her because of her sight lack of stamina compared to others. She'd have to train hard to catch up, that was for sure.
Listening to the girl's answers and remarks, she realized that she was quite to-the-point and very matter-of-fact. It was refreshing in a way, and she found that she liked her style. "You ask a lot of questions. Are your parents shinobi? And do you know what you want to do? Medic-nin, ranged specialist, genjutsu?" Yae asked her. Well, it couldn't be helped, since she was new, and curious by nature. She didn't seem to say it out of annoyance though, so she simply laughed it off.
"Ahaha. I tend to do that sometimes. It's because I've not been here very long, and no one really bothered to tell me about this place at all." she said as she scratched her head a bit. "As for me, I really don't know yet. I'd probably go for being a ninjutsu specialist, but I'm quite intrested in other things like genjutsu, learning fūinjutsu or becoming a medic-nin too. I'm still a little undecided. How about you?" she added.

"Yeah, the instructors here can be a little less than helpful sometimes. They're probably trying to encourage us to fend for ourselves or something." She shrugged. Normally she didn't get along well with fellow students, but Sakurayuki seemed to be okay in Yae's book. At first her questions had been a bit of a nuisance, but now Yae realized she was just putting an effort forth in the class. That was something she could respect.
"Well, that's fine. It's not like you have to know what you're going to do yet. I already know that I'm going to be a medic-nin. That's why I would rather be doing chakra-related work. But a medic needs to be well-balanced all around. If you get disabled in battle then you're just a burden on your team." Yae was quoting her favorite medic-nin handbook now. She paused, looking out the window in front of them and watching the inuzaka boy make progress around the track. "Have you met him yet? Other than one of the two sparring boys I haven't met anyone who's here."

How can stupid hand seals be this stinking hard!!!!! Hoeru was far from happy at the moment. Her heart kept on sinking every so often with the thought that perhaps her brothers were right when they had teased her about not having what it took to be a shinobi. "But I want to be a shinobi!" She stomped her foot against the ground not caring what sort of attention it would cause. If she had to go on doing hand seals for the rest of her life then so be it! Like hell she would let her brothers be right! She'll prove them wrong. Or that was what she hoped she would do. Raising her hands her eyes burned with determination as her fingers moved quickly into what she hoped were the set of handseals she was attempting to execute with perfection. She didn't even get past the first one. Her hands messed up and ended up in the wrong position and when she attempted again it didn't turn out any better.
Frustrated she let out an angry sort of yell, wasn't really a yell, nor was it a grunt, it was just a frustrated sound. Letting her body fall back she landed with a obvious thud to the ground. Arms and legs crossed she sat there glaring hard into the wall in front of her as if she were trying to melt it.

"Mm, I agree." Sakura said, frowning. "But at least they give us the very basics. It's not much, but it should be enough to survive out there... theoretically." she said, shrugging. "And besides, we won't have the luxury of time and learning materials out in the field. Compared to others, I think we're pretty lucky. I still maintain that they should help us more though." Yuki added with a smile.
"A medic-nin. It suits you." she replied as Yae told her that she wished to become one. "You're going to have to work on your dexterity then," remembering her mother's constant repeats. 'A medic should be the last one standing, and take care to never get hit.' she had always phrased, and to Sakura, that just sounded cool. Her role model was Tsunade-hime, who was the supposed legendary Sannin, with amazing medical prowess and skills, and told the other girl so.
When Yae asked about the boy running around, she readily replied, glad to be the one to give information for once. "Oh, you mean Pakku-san? He's an Inuzuka, and that dog over there, sitting at the bench is Chinsana. I just met him today, but he's pretty nice. I'm sure you'll like him." she told her smiling.

Yae watched lazily out the window as Sakurayuki spoke. Although it didn't necessarily look that way she was listening intently. In the past she hadn't exactly gotten along with all her classmates, so knowing about them would help her to get along with them, or at least avoid offending them. As the other girl indicated the other classmates Yae would turn to look, staring at the other students as Sakurayuki spoke.

Turning around and nodding her head over to the black haired girl, she tried to catch her attention while doing introductions. "Over there is Amaya-san. She's new here too, and from a civilian sector, but she seems to excel in class, regardless. She's a bit shy, but I think you'll like her too."
Turning back, she glanced at the white-haired Inuzuka before turning back to Yae. "I actually don't know much about her, except for the obvious fact that she's an Inuzuka. Have you met her before? Pakku-san seems to know her but I haven't had a chance to ask."she finished.
"I guess I should go back to my exercises soon," Yuki murmured, a little reluctant. It was fun talking to her, and she really didn't want to have to leave the intresting conversation. She guessed she'd wait just a tad bit more before she finished up the rest of her chakra molding exercise.
