Hans Attacking Ca'mil
Hans let out a short cry as the club hit home, but he swung at Ca'mil anyway, knowing he would regret it later if he didn't at least try.

Dorline Attacking Eliza
Dorline cried out as the rider struck her while she was distracted with her dragon. Tears welled in her eyes and she whirled on Eliza. Stupid b***h! Dorline linked her hands together and struck out at her head and shoulder area.

JetAlmeara D'lin Defending against Zorn6/25 def -1d4+1 = 4 D'lin was overjoyed by the arrival of Cheryth and Ca'mil - though he had to wonder what had kept them up. In anycase it might just turn the tides in their favor or at teh very least help to even things up a little bit. The handlers seemed to be a bit dismayed by their arrival as well - perhaps they were hurting just as much as the riders were. An idea began to form in D'lin's mind - one that Plexith was torn about - but D'lin having a dragon and knowing that the bond between handler and wher was quite similar did not want to hand out the type of pain that came with loosing a partner...if they could just see reason then maybe they could all walk away from this... "Yes thats right..we called reinforcements - and there's more on the way" He told the handler in front of him "But I'll make you a deal..you and your friends get your Whers up and leave the Weyr,, promise never to come back and we'll let you go..otherwise I'll order my bronze to kill your brown and her green the second he gets the chance' forgot to roll <.<

Zorn Considering D'lin's offer
Zorn's fists were balled and raised, ready to strike out again, but Zorn was a thinker above all else and if the rider wasn't lying... it was a tempting offer. He thought the rider was bluffing about more reinforcements coming, but this was a chance to walk away from this with his wher. Although Zorn knew that he could take the Bronzerider so long as Hans kept the woman occupied, Zornsk wouldn't make it. That threat was real, and Zorn knew it. He'd seen what the riders did to Hansk and the other whers. He didn't fancy that sort of end for Zornsk. His life was worth far more than winning a fight, especially a fight that Zorn really wished he had found a way to avoid. This would make two losses to the Weyr now; he didn't want to find out that the third time was the last.
However, despite leaning toward accepting the deal, Zorn also knew better than to take anything at face value. The rider said he'd let them leave and not hunt them down, but if Zorn could get Zornsk up and make it out of the weyr, he was going to take extra precautions to ensure that the riders didn't find them. Southern was a big continent; Zorn could very happily spend a few sevendays away from all of this drama, until one side or the other won. That would dictate where he went from there.
"Hans! Dorline! Back off!" he called, keeping his eyes on D'lin as he backed away from the rider. "Hans, we're leaving. Dorline, Atkin! Get your whers back on their feet."

D'lin Keeping up his end of the bargain
When Zorn backed off and ordered the others to stop fighting D'lin was quick to do the same - he wasn't one to go back on a deal and there was something in this handler that made him believe the other really would leave. He had fought yes but D'lin had sensed that like him - Zorn didn't really want to fight..but had been forced into it through varying circumstances.
"Plexith..call the dragons off" D'lin stated, out loud for the handlers benefit before shouting out a similar order to the riders "Eliza! Ceta..Ca'mil..stop, they're leaving the Weyr as long as we let their Whers live"
Plexith roared in frustration at the order, still angry at the injuries the beasts had inflicted on him and the others and his head to regard D'lin as thought to test his riders resolve to the bargain. D'lin's will was iron strong however and he wasn't about to waver under his dragons anger, sensing this Plexith folded his wings. 'We couldn't really do much more anyways' He stated with a snort of annoyance 'Let the Whers retreat' He told his fellow dragons.

Atkins & Atsk Accepting the offer, quitting the field
Atkins thought it was a trick at first and had lifted his fist to hit the women again..but when the bronze rider called off the dragons and his fellow riders he let his hand drop. He still thought the women and the riders were wrong and he gave her a silent sneer before hurrying to Atsk.
It wasn't worth loosing the loyal little blue because he wanted to keep fighting. Dropping to his knees beside the wher he urged him to his feet.
'Atsk hurt' The blue warbled 'Bigs mean!' The little blue whined as he struggled to stand.
'I know Atsk, I know, your right, but we're going to leave now and you'll get better' He promised the Wher.

Eliza Defending against Dorline Def - 1d4+1 = 4 HP - 5/25
When the women whirled and struck at her Eliza did not have time to duck back behind Velaths arm again and instead threw her hands up to avoid the blow "Better listen to your boyfriend over there" She told the women. "If you want to keep your Wher."

Ca'mil Defending against Han's 30/30 def -1d4+1 = 5
Predictably the man turned on her after she struck him with the club, and Ca'mil threw up her hands to defend herself from his angry strikes, barely hearing D'lin's order to stand down. Sure she'd stand down..once this guy did.

Cheryth Listening to Plexith
The crimson had been serching for hints any any more hidden Whers after the blue was struck down, but none were in sight and when Plexith told them to stand down she listened...as he said there wasn't much they could do at the moment anyways. But she rumbled and moved closer to her rider - just in case.

With the blue taken down and Eliza defending herself Velath was at a loss for what to do next - she couldn't attack the human and there were no more whers to take on. When Plexith told them to stop she warbled agreement but kept her arm near her rider anyways just in case.

Dorline Getting Dosk
With the rider's taunt, Dorline was sorely tempted to ignore Zorn, but her wher's well-being had to take precedence. Dosk's life now lay in her hands, as unfair as that was. A snarl twisted Dorline's face.
"We'll come back for you, girl. This is only one Weyr; we'll have other strongholds to return to when this day is over and that means plenty of chances to try again."
With that she turned and stalked away from Eliza, the steps turning into a run as she went to the aid of her Green.
She knelt by Dosk, whispering to her and stroking whatever uninjured parts she could reach, trying to wake her.

Hans Hesitating and Leaving
Hans heard Zorn and for a moment the suggestion only made him want to beat the rider in front of him all the harder. Back down? Run away when they were winning? Oh sure, they couldn't take down the dragons, but killing their riders did the same thing! He stared at Ca'mil, but his eyes were really seeing through her. Then again, Dorline wasn't doing so well, and who knew how long Zorn would last without Hans backing him up. His arm was still tender from the last blow of the woman's club, throbbing at a much slower tempo than his elevated heartbeat.
"Hans. Dying isn't going to do Hansk's memory any favors."
Hans turned and stared at Zorn for a long moment, and then his hands relaxed and the fight seemed to go out of him. They would lose, wouldn't they? They might take a few down, but this was another fight they would lose, now that the Crimsonrider had joined the fight. Hans's heart ached. Was walking away a failure to Hansk? Or the move Hansk would have wanted Hans to make?
Drained of anger and energy, Hans headed toward Zorn. They simply didn't have enough of their forces stationed here to win, it seemed. One step forward, two steps back.

Zorn and Zornsk Leaving
Zorn saw Dorline and Atkin do as he asked and waited, staring at Hans as the man hesitated for far longer than he would have liked.
"Hans. Dying isn't going to do Hansk's memory any favors."
The man finally looked at him, and then abandoned his fight almost carelessly, walking like a mindless body after Dorline. Zorn glanced at D'lin again before moving over to wake his own wher, the one who had been lying still at the epicenter of the battle.
Unlike the other whers who had been knocked silly so recently, Zornsk had been recovering for the majority of the fight, still unconscious though he was. When Zorn prodded him and ran firm hands over him, clicking and speaking to him aloud, Zornsk roused himself slowly and lifted his head.
Zorn win?
No, not this time, Zornsk, Zorn ran his hands down him one more time and stood. Today doesn't seem to be our lucky day. Time to cut our losses.
Zornsk struggled to his feet. Zorn knew his wher was hurting and hurting badly, but Zornsk refused to show how incapable of walking on his own he was and Zorn wouldn't betray him. Zorn glanced back at the riders again as Zornsk headed to the woods with slow steps, lips pressed tightly together, and then he followed his wher. They would live for another day, and in the end that was what Zorn always came back to: survival.

Cetalese and Halith Waiting
Cetalese paused, watching Atkin as he sneered and walked away to retrieve his wher. She didn't like the idea of letting them go back into the woods where they might turn around and backstab their group later, but for now she agreed with D'lin's choice. It was let them go or kill the whers and try to beat them down, when half of their group was outnumbered or... well, not very good at fighting.
Cetalese watched Atkin go for a moment, to be sure he wasn't going to turn around and attack her again, and then looked up at Halith. Her Green looked down at her and when she tilted her head, Cetalese almost saw her shrug. A small smile briefly crossed her face before she returned her attention to the wherhandlers. Cautiously, she headed over to the main gathering of riders while Halith looked on to make sure she didn't get into trouble along the way.

D'lin waited for several long moment's, eyes studying the woods around him until he was sure that the handlers and theirs beasts were gone.
"Are you sure that was a good idea?" Ca'mil asked as she moved closer "Letting them go like that?"
"I don't care where they go or what happens to them as long as they're not here anymore. I want them out of the Weyr..but I'm tired of killing people and their partners" Which reminded him..there was someone else whom had put not only herself but her partner at risk today and turning on his heel, adrenaline still flowing he marched over to Eliza where she lay on the ground, nursing her wounds beside her green, leaning down he wretched her off the ground by the front of her jacket and shook her. "If I wasn't so sore right now I swear by the egg's our dragons hatched from I'd beat you black and blue myself!"
Startled Velath, jerked backwards and made as though she were going to interfere on behalf of her rider when Plexith - still angry after the fight roared a warning and shouldered the green aside. As angry as he was the bronze certainly wasn't going to tolerate any insubordination at the moment.
D'lin knowing that Plexith would keep the dragons in line continued with his rant at Eliza "If you ever..ever do anything like that again I'll have you filling firestone bags for months! Don't you realize what could have happened to you? Did you even think about your friends? Did you?!?" He yelled in fury..fury that left him almost as soon as it had come on, with the adrenaline from the battle fading D'lin realized just how much he hurt, how much he had been worried and closing his eyes and taking a deep breath he eased Eliza back to her feet and let her go before going to rest against Plexith's leg.
Eliza was shocked...D'lin was generally not the type to loose his temper in such a fashion, so shocked in fact that she didn't even try to escape him or defend herself as she yelled and shook her. Slumping to the ground once he released her she stared after him. "I..I"m sorry? But they were hurting Velath..." Was about the only lame reply she could come up with at the moment.
Ca'mil..wisely had stayed out of the entire thing until D'lin went to Plexith, when she stooped down to check on Eliza's wounds from the earlier fight. "It's just the stress" She assured the girl "He was worried"
