I fire off another arrow at the last skeleton.
Feryan, angry that he didn't get to keep a bone from the previous victim, charges at the last one in an attempt to get his snack.

Bandit attacked! Initiative: Blade, Bandit (Note from the DM: Keep in mind that I'm the one who decides critical hits Blade.) The bandit got damaged but the wound was still very minor he kicked the boy's legs out from under him and shifted his sword to do a stab downward onto the boy when in a flash his head fell onto the Atlantian's stomach and blood poured from the headless body and was pushed to the side. Sanding behind him was a large built man about thirty. With long brown hair and stubble he swiftly sheathed a blade glowing of a bright yellow. He walked forward and helped the boy up, saying nothing as he walked toward the path that the Bard and company had flown down on their steeds. Skeleton Soldiers attacked! Initiative: Skeleton Soldier 1, ??????, ?????, Skeleton Soldier 2, Skeleton Soldier 3, Caitlyn, Lazere, Feryan, and Beatrice. ??????: Passes... The bard moved over to the horse and gently shushed the horse with her beautiful voice as she sang she pulled the arrow out as the muscle strands wove themselves to heal and she helped the fallen steed back onto her legs getting thanked with a lick of the hand and a neigh. ?????: Passes... The boy got up brushing himself off, helping Beatrice up as he shook his head. He smiled behind his mask as he walked back to the horse he and his sister had ridden and swiftly jumped on so lightly it was as if he was a monkey. Skeleton Archer: Dies... The wave that attacked the skeleton archer overwhelmed it as it was destroyed and scattered around into a bunch of rotting bones. When Freyan would try to get close to one it would stink of foul dark energy and the rotting maggot ridden bits of flesh still clinging to it looked very unappetizing.

Caitlyn lets out a victory cry, raising her sword dramatically. She walks over to Scarlet, checking to see if the wound was close completely. It was the cavalryman's code, after all, to look after their mount before their own life as repayment for valiant service. "How is everyone?" She asks, looking around to see if anyone was hurt. "We may want to check that their arrows weren't poisoned in some fashion."

?????? the Voice of Purity "Why of course." The bard said as she gently picked up an arrow and sang as it hovered in the air and pointed down a certain direction. "The arrows aren't poisoned and we should head down that way, its the safest. These were just a scouting party, wait till you see the big ones..." She trailed off at the sound of cracking bramble, bushes, and plants in general, as a large man towered over them. He had long brown hair and stubble and bright green eyes with a tinge of yellow in them. Two longsword sheaths hung on his back both giving off a faint yellow glow. The bard gave out a large cry as she rushed into the man embracing each other in a tight hug. "CHAUK! I... I thought you were dead!" She said looking up at the man with eyes full of tears. Chauk the Found Man The strong man hugged his dearest friend. Holding her pure body close, he had missed her the most out of his group of friends. When they finally broke Chauk looked around at the group of warriors she was traveling with and rose an eyebrow at them all. "Best of group of adventurers I've seen yet." He said with a deep voice as he walked around to each, assessing them all. Asking for names, seeing their weapons. Finally he stopped at the little rogue that had gone out of the way to stay hidden from this man. "I see you've realized what you've turned yourself into didn't you little Araon?" He grunted as he grabbed the boy by the cloaks hood and tore off the mask and threw him at the group so that his face was revealed. It looked like a normal ten year old only occasionally his head faded in and out of sight, as if invisible one minute visible the next. Araon the Grim Reaper The boy made quick work to hide his face again as he scampered behind his older sister who just shook her head at the boy and glared at Chauk.

Caitlyn stood silently, watching the scene unfold. Upon the strange reveal, she took a slight step back, but upon remembering the goddess' words, her blade remained sheathed. "So, what is he turning into?" She asked. Perhaps this Chauk fellow could shed some light...

I sigh after the battle ended, as I realized just how useless I was during it. I jolt a little bit and take a defensive stance when I see the large man appear. However, I relax a bit when I realize that he isn't going to attack us, but a look of confusion comes across my face at his shabby word choice and his spontaneous actions. The little assassin's awkward face makes me even more confused, but I decide not to pry. I could tell he wasn't going to explain it, and I'm not sure I even wanted to know how it happened anyway.

I smile sadly as Feryan returns to me with a disgusted (and hungry) look. When the strongman appears, I nock an arrow. However, upon seeing that he is friendly, I put it away and stand near Beatrice. "What do you make of this guy?" I ask her.

Chauk the Found Man He huffed as he rolled his eyes at the two siblings. "Little Araon sold his soul in order for protection of his older sister. So now he's a half-shadow." He said sighing, it was a sad tale that they would have to talk about later. "I rescued a young boy with blue hair earlier. Is he a band of your gang? If so he need's a mount. Luckily I have one." He said whistling. Out pounced a horse into the battlefield as he waited for the Atlantian to come around.

"He appears to be an honest man..." I say quietly to Lazere. "Indubitably he is as trustworthy as the companions we have already amassed..." I add as I glance at Aaron, who we only just learned what to call him by.

"Mmm," I say in response to Beatrice. "I still am not sure what to make of the others, to be honest." Feryan gives a snort that seems to say, "Whatever." I roll my eyes and give out a series of growls, yips, and whines. He doesn't respond verbally, but just smiles in his own wolfy way. I cross my arms and look back at Beatrice. "Males," I say snidely.

Caitlyn laughs slightly at the exchange of Lazere and Feryan, reminding her of her interactions with Scarlet, though unlike Lazere, Caitlyn never truly understood Scarlet conversationally, it was more like a meeting of goals, an unshakable union or unspoken trust. "He sold himself... to protect you?" She ask the bard curiously.

I blink at Beatrice for a moment. "What?" I say. "Was I speaking a foreign language or something?" I clearly do not even notice the difference between the Common Language and a wolf's vocalizations.
