Taima had only just managed to get the hang of flying with these tiny new wings when the roof exploded, and a giant mini appeared, and then people were attacking it and really, all Taima wanted to do was find a safe place to land without falling on her face, because as an actual bird, that would be silly and ridiculous and humiliating and Taima was just having none of that. The shiny floaty thing that appeared when the treat melted into a big puddle of ew emitted some kind of something that sent her spinning again. With a disgruntled tweet, she landed on the floor. "There it is!" Yelped a slightly familiar sort of voice, a red, white, balding pink and blue blur rushing towards the most-likely shard. "Grab it! If we get enough, I can probably jump start my device and we can you know, go home!"
Easier said than done as several others seemed to have the same idea, reaching for the shard with various levels of success. Mark, who seemed to have the utmost confidence that he could do better, managed to get close enough, that is close enough to nearly get half his already balding clumps of fur sucked into the unusual gravity field before he pulled out and decided that it really was not worth his tiny little minipet life.
Unfortunately, due to the gravity field, something else also fell out of the patriotic treat's mane, clattering a few times before falling right next to the gemstone. Both of them began to resonate. The item that fell out of Mark's mane suggested on a very tiny panel that it had a 'Fear Residue Overload' and was now 'Purging All Systems'. It was too bad none of the others could read the tiny text from so far away and even worse still as everything exploded in white light.

"I'm sure it'll turn up somewhere," she offered with a meek little chirrup before attempting to give his shoulder a quick nuzzle with her beak, "I'm sure we'll all get to go home very soon... hmm, where'd Jordan and Jerry get off to?"
