Slade ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"One of my abilities is projecting my thoughts into reality, if we need something I can get it." Slade said as he stepped backward out the door. He noticed she was dirty and he noticed that she had seemed unsettled by the thought of going outside when she was dirty but Slade never saw that as a problem. He wasn't one to judge though because his suit was always clean somehow. "The sword will be all you need to keep with you at all times. A weapons is always useful." Slade explained. He always had his dagger on hand. His father had been the one to fight with swords, Slade preferred the closer and more personal types of attacks. They were easier to control and faster when executing.

Nora was pretty fascinated with the fact he could create something out of nothing, it sure would make her life easier.
She followed him backing up out of her doorway she closed it behind her. She pulled it a few times to make sure it was locked, and walked towards Slade.
"How long will we be gone?" She followed him closely as they walked. ❞

"We could be gone for years but I doubt you will join me in that. It will probably take a few weeks. I know that she was last in the Land of Iron. A mutual place between the Zaibatsu and Arkham, not ruled by either side. Arkham is the home to the previous Doma base and I believe that is where they are currently stationed. We will first travel to Stone's Peak in the land of iron. There I can attempt to find my mother but I am unsure if she will respond to the call. If she doesn't we can travel into Arkham and try again. Then we can go directly to the Doma base if we must." Slade explained everything as simply as he could. They had a long walk but were never actually leaving the realm so portals felt like a waste of power. He was hoping to meet his mother at Stone's Peak. It was mutual territory and he didn't have to worry about being attacked. However the farther they got into Arkham the more they risked their lives. He didn't tell Nora these small details because he was certain she would be fine.

Nora raised her brow as he spoke of years. What could he possibly be going by traveling for years?
She took big steps over logs and through the wet mud, just following closet behind, she didn't know what to expect or what they would endure. "Are you finally going to tell me what's going on, since we have a week ahead of us?" Nora was curious as to what was going on, and if they would even match her visions. ❞

Slade turned his head to look at Nora then returned his focus to the path and continued walking. "My name is Eleven, not Slade. Yes it is a number get over it. I am one of the three remaining Numbered Warriors. Granted that is a horrible name, it is what everyone has come to know us by because our names are numbers. What we are really called was lost when our realm was destroyed. My father had tried to stop it and in doing so abandoned two students. Eight and Six. They were not Number Warriors they just had odd names. Eight and six would go on to be brothers by bond for some time before they killed each other in the war between the zaibatsu and Doma sixteen years ago. Eight founded and lead the Doma with the help of my father and my work in the lab he gave me. Six lead the Zaibatsu Eight had given him. A few months ago I came to the CEO and his wife because my father sent me to kill Derek Diviner. My father saw him as a future threat. He saw him as someone who could destroy this place. I made a different call. Instead I took a job as Slade. I worked to watch over the students including Derek and ensure that they were not harmed or corrupted by darkness as my father had been. Darkness that infected his mind like a disease. It is my mother we are going to see. She has joined the Doma because my father would not come back here with her. She seeks to destroy this place because she felt what you humans feel. She loved my father too much, and the darkness kept him from loving her. At least that is what I think it did. I haven't spoken to him since I became Slade. I send out reports to him daily but nothing ever returns." Everything he said, was said in a monotone making it seem as if he was void of emotion as he had been when he first came to this place months ago.

❝ As Nora was walking beside him, she listened to him speak with such elegance, and she herself had such interest. It finally made sense, everything falling into place. Ten was the woman she saw in her visions, that was his mother. Nora continued walking, things such as killing Derek was also a shock. How would have ellie handled that? "Is this what you really look like than, eleven?"
But as she was walking beside him, she stopped suddenly in her steps. She looked at him concerningly in awe.
“You can’t feel love?” She stared at him for a moment, than continued to walk. She couldn’t imagine life without love.
“Well, if you ask me, which you didn’t, but I’m going to put in my 2 cents in since we are going to be spending many days together, It sounds like your dad messed up, she loved him, he needs to understand that. But I don’t think I would go as far as destroying the Zaibatsu for someone’s love. “ Of course, she had only been in love once, maybe she would have destroyed a kingdom for that person.
“You must love your mom, if you’re going to try to get her to come back?” ❞

"Yes this is what I look like. No one knew who I was but my name was too much of a risk, and my kind can feel love but it is almost always different. Never the kind humans feel." Eleven turned his head to look at Nora again when she commented about his father. Then he looked away again. "My father is the only reason you are still alive. He has spent the last sixteen years killing anything that would become a threat to your home. Without him doing what he has done you would all be dead." He was very blunt on the topic. Nora wouldn't understand that much he knew. "And I am not going to try and bring my mother back. I am going to inform her that she stands alone if she does this. My family rarely goes back on something they have committed to and I am not going to force her to do anything. But I will pull as much information from her memories as I can."

❝ Nora Realized she had judge a bit too soon regarding his father. He was right, but she also didn't know the extent of what his father had done. So she walked quietly beside him for a long while before speaking again.
"Someone's going to burn down the city." She looked straight ahead as she spoke, just seeing forests before her. "Nothing will be left. Children are going to be dead, teens, adults. There will be no homes left including my shop." Nora spoke with no tone as she informed him. ❞

"I don't doubt it. However you shouldn't take the things you see for face value. That much I have learned in my life. Just because you see a future does not mean you see the future. To see the future you have to physically go there." Eleven was trying to be reassuring. He had the ability to see the future and past conditions of an object by being close to it. He could always see into his future and when in her shop he could see into it's future. But he had learned what she saw by invading her mind. It frightened him but he did not show it in any way. So many people could do that to a city. Victory had weakened this place they would not survive the first attack unless people could defend themselves and they couldn't. The first would hurt the most.

❝ Nora didn’t turn to look at him, but kept looking ahead. She couldn’t help but ignore his statement, to not take them at face value, but her visions were usually fairly dead on. It made her fairly depressed knowing her shop would soon go up in flames with everything else, it was the one thing she loved and had worked hard for for decades.
“So what happens when your mom says no? Where does the kingdom even go from here?” She finally turned and looked at him. ❞

"She can't keep me from getting the knowledge I want. I will just read her mind. Or I will find an excuse to get close to her and just look into her past to see what she has been up to." Eleven explained as they walked. He had not simply walked into this situation unprepared to do what he had to do.

"Once this is done I will send the knowledge I have gathered to Loki, and I will continue to investigate bellow the radar. I will continue to protect the people who can't protect themselves." With that said Eleven began slightly quieter. Stone's peak was on the horizon but barely. "You implied you wanted to come right? well I though you would want to."

Notchwood ❝ Nora did want to come. She had become bored with her small town life. "I thought maybe, you would need assistance." She knew she had to be beside him in order to have been able to tell him what had happened in her vision, and surely didn't need assistance, he seemed strong enough as it was.
She looked ahead as they walked, the sun began to hide behind the mountains, making a sherbet colored sky. "So, your the shoes I have been filling for the kingdom's weaponry. Impressive." She gave him a small smile. ❞

"Well not exactly. During the war I supplied the Doma with weapons. They had given me a lab I gave them tools. " Eleven commented regarding what she had said about filling shoes. He had only supplied the Zaibatsu for a brief time and then he had left to do other things. The Land of Iron was drawing closer and closer with each passing word. Soon they would be at the Stone's peak. Then they would climb.
