Victor the Dragon Victor sees how small the house is and sighing he transforms back down to human size. "It isn't that I dislike this form but I always feel so...'cramped'? Is that the word for it?" He sees Jake shiver. "Origato mobi qe morne vur mitne"A small floating ball of pleasantly warm light forms in his hand. He holds it out to Jake. " Would you like to hold this? It's warm and will provide light for the path for those who need it for our little trip. It isn't harmful at all and can even be a little fun."He smiles and tosses the ball in the air a few times to prove his point. "Well, I suppose we should get moving." He starts to walk towards the house.

Ran the Tengu Ran had also felt a chill in the air. It terrified her. She stood close to everyone else in the group watching out for anything that could pop out any moment. Her legs were wobbling as it had been a long time she had walked in human form. "Why do I even bother?" she mumbled to herself as she walked into the small house. Professor Chorvinsky"Well sorry for not having a mansion," he said sarcastically, "I'm a cryptozoologist, not Mister President. I don't need a over-sized house do my job. Anyway.. Let's go in."He dug deep into his bag, and found his keys after a while. He unlocked his door with a loud echoing click. As if the door hasn't been opened in a while. He pushed the door with his shoulder, it seemed to take a lot of effort. "Gah, this darn door. I hardly use it, I usually lock myself indoors for days! Hahaha! Alright everybody, welcome to- Oop, the lights are off!"He blindly felt his way to the light switch. "Uh.. It might be a bit of a mess but-" he turned on the lights, "Okay, a LOT of a mess.."The house was a shipwreck. It was like the house had been tossed and turned by a hurricane. Beakers and test tubes spilled all over the tables, a week-old leftover food in the corner of the room. The only items than seemed to be neatly in place was in a display case at the very back of the room. Inside of it were fangs, bones, and skulls, all various shapes and sizes.

Taylor the Werewolf Taylor actually did have to duck to get through the door of the professor's small house. He looked around at the mess. It was like a collage dorm room. He made his way back to the display case and looked inside. There were all sorts of bones, each one labelled and dated. There were skulls, the biggest one from a rock troll, but what interested him the most were two sets of teeth. Both were full sets of sharp teeth with long fangs. He instantly recognised them. one was from a vampire, and the other, larger and with both the lower and upper canines elongated, had come from a werewolf. "Wow....he must have travelled all over the world to collect all these....there are even dragon scales...."

Professor Chorvinsky"Yes, I did get my share of travels when I was younger. Ah, yes.. Good memories here and there," he said as he gently touched the glass of the display case, "Oh, and to reassure you, I didn't have to kill a single critter to build up this fine collection. For I could never do such a thing. I got most of these from traders and merchants."

Victor the Dragon Victor nods his head after listening to the professor. "I see... Well I'm glad you didn't have to kill anything but is there really a 'market' for such things? That is a bit disturbing. It seems there are still hunters out to kill us and make a profit."

Rachael the PegasusRachael sniffed a blanket lightly and then recoiled, turning into her human self. " Is that... Is that... IS THAT A PEGASUS WING?!" Now that she'd said it out loud, she knew she was right. Her hands flew to her mouth.

Professor Chorvinsky "Everyone! Please, calm down. No need to be alarmed. As I said, I would never kill any of these creatures, nor purchase things from people who does. I got these from people who occasionally finds the remains of a creature, who died of natural causes. None of them were hunters, some of them were even fellow cryptozoologists like myself."He looked at the preserved Pegasus wing that frightened Rachael. "Ah, yes.. I remember that item. I bought it from a Greek merchant. The poor creature had an unfortunate flight accident.."

Taylor the WerewolfTaylor was standing next to a window. He had opened it slightly so he could feel the cool night air. He closed his eyes, ignoring the commotion behind him. He breathed deep and let his breath out in a long sigh. Suddenly, his eyes flew open. He opened the window more and sniffed the air outside. Then he slammed it shut and closed the shades. "Turn the damn lights off!" he yelled. He moved to the switch and killed the light in the room. "No one go near the windows! Keep your heads down and your mouths shut!" He moved to the front door and crouched low, his ear close to the gap between the door it's self ans the floor beneath it. He concentrated and listened.

Caroline the Griffin
She stepped into the house with caution. The griffin looked at the items that littered the mans house and sniffed at bones and hides. Many of them smelled of her friends and she frowned at the idea of one of their relatives being used as decoration and research. Surprised to not smell anything that had a scent similar to hers, she tilted her head to the professor. D-do you have griffins in another room? I don't seem to find anything that might be from my species. She hissed in surprise as Taylor yelled at them to get down. She folded in her wings and laid still on the floor. What is it, is something w-wrong?

Taylor the WerewolfTaylor kept his ear to the door. He had to concentrate. When he was not in wolf-form, he could only use one of his powerful senses at a time, and to do so took a considerable amount of effort. He whispered low, so that his own voice wouldn't drown out the sound he was picking up. "I smelled something. Nylon..carbon-fiber...sweat, and cordite. Someone has found us. There are at least two squads of ten......one is moving through the woods, about two clicks south....they're moving in a drag net formation....sweeping, trying to trap us.....Didn't smell like military.....not SEALs........must be spooks......FBI maybe?"
He kept his ear close to the gap in the door. His enhanced haring picked up the faint rustle of undergrowth as bodies moved through them. He heard breath muffled by cloth masks, the swiping of fatigues brushing as legs moved and arms waved hand signals. "This may be a bad time to mention this....but, I'm a Federal fugitive.....sort of..."
