(( Sil - Oh yeah..DURR. Well, I'll start 'er off!))
He walked out of the hotel and shielded his eyes from the blinding sunlight. He wasn't sure if it was always this bright out and he'd never really noticed it, or if it was just more noticeable in this new environment, but he shrugged it aside as more pressing matters made themselves known: It was hot. Even for him being what he was, it was damned hot!
He made his way down to the beach and tried to find Sil so he could continue what he had started the evening before. As he strolled down the boarded path that lead to the water's edge he mulled things over in his head, trying to figure out exactly how he was going to explain things to her in case she couldn't quite grab ahold of the concept. But, he figured she had to be exceptionally smart to be in her position within the order and that it shouldn't be a problem. Bringing himself back down from his parade of thought, he spotted her and strolled close to where she was, plopped down on the cool sand, and called out her name. "Hey, Sil!"

((G'night guys ;3;!!))
Sil had fallen prey to sun lounging while she had been watching over the children, moderately pleased that none of them had gotten mashed, mangled or murdered under her watch. Once the three of them were back with respectable guardians she had been able to relax a little more and simply enjoy the wonderful feel of sunlight on her skin. With her naturally golden hues she worried little about sunburning; she simply just got darker.
As someone called her name she broke from her peaceful reverie, sitting up from her lounge to tuck her legs into her tummy. The sight of Domo with his exceptionally pale skin and paler hair jarred her pupils, but even without her glasses she recognized him right away. "Hey Domo! Does this mean it's story time now?" Her voice was keen; excited. She was naturally inquisitive, and ever since they had met a few years ago she had wondered about Domo's story.

He nodded and smiled. "Yup, as promised. I will admit the story would be so much more if we were back in the environment at the mansion, but I think I can work it out here."
He scooted next to her chair and could immediately feel the heat from her sun-soaked skin conflicting with his own chilled skin. He let out a vaporous sigh as he began his story.
"Well, let's see. A long time ago, way out in the uncharted areas of Antarctica there lived a village of Cryomancers. They were a pretty superstitious people and they lived in fear of the mythical Wittigo, who would roam the frozen wastes at night and prey on children who wandered away from the village or hunters who went off on their own."
He chuckled.
"My mother and father, however, dedicated their lives to searching for a way to banish this creature from existence and allow their people to live a peaceful life. The more they dug, the closer the creature would venture to the village until it was preying on villagers right at the gates! And then, they stumbled upon the solution. My mother, who was pregnant with me at the time, would undergo a ritual that would bind the Wittigo and myself together in her womb, and then I would be killed at birth thus ridding the village of the creature forever."
He paused for a moment to take a few drinks from his flask and let it soak in.

Sil inversely felt the chill of his skin so near to hers, her fingers gently rubbing the spot that had suddenly sprouted goosebumps. She tilted her head ever-so-slightly wondering why the castle was a better place for the story but stayed silent so he could start his story.
As he set the scene, she quickly realized a beach in New Zealand was the exact opposite setting of the Arctic and she smiled wryly at the irony. Her chin moved to rest on her folded knees, eyes intent on the young man who piqued her interest with his story immediately.
"Cryomancer... That's... ice sorcery, right?" She asked quietly; even though she hadn't known it existed before, she knew that cryo- was a latin word that meant ice and -mancer was a latin ending that meant to 'divinate from.' It wasn't difficult for her to believe such things-- Cross was a sorcerer himself even if it was heavily frowned upon and it was obvious that there was something very, very supernatural about Domo. As he explained the plan laid out by his parents, her eyes widened considerably. "You're kidding... That's... well... that must have been a horribly difficult decision..." her voice was soft, sad, her well formed brows furrowing as she imagined his mother and father making the decision to sacrifice their child. She leaned her cheek onto her knees, her eyes twice as intent as before, waiting for him to continue.

"You're correct!" He smiled. "So, my mother carried to term. Little did she know she was having twins! Unfortunately, one was stillborn and the other was perfectly healthy so they just assumed that the one that didn't make it had been bonded with the Wittigo and that it was a great success." He made some fast forwarding motions with his hands, skipping past his uneventful early years. " As I started to grow into adolescence I discovered that I was quite adept in the teachings of my people, so much that I was able to do things yet unheard of by the village elders by the time I was 12. This attracted the attention of a beautiful young woman whose name was Alicia. We grew quite fond of each other and before long we were sneaking out of the village at night, going on romps through the wastes and teaching ourselves magic that was forbidden in the village. This went on for years until we were caught. I was put on trial by the tribal council where it was concluded that, due to my adeptness to Cryo-magic and who my parents were, that I was bonded with the Wittigo and that I must be executed before I could harm anyone."
He let out another long sigh before he continued.
"The next day all of the children were taken out of the village for a hike, and I was tied up in the village square to face my execution. As the greatest sorcerers in the village lined up to do their duty, my eyes scanned across the crowd. My mother and father couldn't even bear to look at me knowing what I was, my girlfriend crying and calling me a monster. At that point, I wanted nothing more to die. I mean, who did I have to live for? But, the Wittigo had other plans. As my firing squad launched their deadly volley of frozen spears, I closed my eyes and waited for the release that never came. I opened them again after a few seconds to see the agents of my destruction impaled with their own spears and the crowd staring me in fearful amazement. I broke free of my bonds and walked through them all, making my way toward the gate and out into the frozen wilds. From that point on, I was a completely different person. More primal, aggressive...I couldn't count the number of hunting parties I slaughtered that the village had sent after me, the number of mangled bodies I left impaled at the village gates. I struggled with myself for quite a while and found that focusing on increasing my magical knowledge helped keep the creature at bay within me."
He stood up and offered his hand to Sil. "C'mon, let's take a break. I want to show you something."

((;___; *HUGS DOMO.*))
As the story continued, Sil's scowl lightened, and though it was tragic that Domo's twin had been a still-born, she couldn't help but feel happy that he had survived. At the mention of Alicia her face softened considerably, a smile touching her lips as she became enchanted in what sounded like a childhood love story. Even if she pretended otherwise, she had a soft spot for love stories just like any other little girl who had grown up hearing tales of princes, princesses and romance. However, the sigh made her stomach drop and her lips purse together with worry, knowing that the pleasant part of his story had to have come to an end if he ended up where he was now.
Even though the sun was warm on her back, Domo's story sent an icy chill slithering down her spine. Her eyes widened; many years ago she had seen Domo lose it, back when she was still a scientist and she had nothing to fend him off with other than a large book she had grabbed off of a bookcase. She wondered if the incident was related to this Wittigo he seemed to have been bonded to. In that case, if he had so easily slaughtered hunting parties and people of his own village, she was lucky to be alive. "You've been through a lot... It's... amazing that you... learned to control something like that," she said hesitantly, her eyes lingering on his face searchingly.
A hard swallow moved her throat, her shoulders tensing as her imagination had gotten the better of her. As he offered a hand to her she hesitated for just a moment perhaps out of fear of the story, but even if Domo had a monster in him he was still someone very dear to her. She was an Exorcist and could handle more than she ever imagined, and even if they had somewhat drifted their own seperate directions she had trust in him. "Show me something...?" She asked, her warm hand falling into his cool palm finally, fingers curling around the edge of his hand as she eased to her bare feet. The gesture made it clear that despite what he had told her, she had no reserves being around the young man.
((I have no idea if that random tiny plot has anything to do with this, but what the hell BD /shot. That was SO long ago.))

(( That was a looooooong time ago, I don't even remember that! >.< ))
He gently closed his fingers around her soft hand and led her to the ocean. "Come, take a closer walk with me." He laughed at himself for making the reference and moved his foot out over the water. At the exact moment it would've submerged, the top of the water froze outward a little bit from his heel, giving him a small frozen stepping stone and allowing him to step forward and do the same with his other foot. He turned back to her and looked into her eyes with a smile, keeping her hand held in his the whole time. "If you trust me, completely, we'll be able to have an interesting finish to the story here. So if you're willing, take a step out."

((LOL! I have crazy RP memory for some things ;u; ))
"Oh my God," Sil said in awe, her jaw going slack at the sudden freeze of the ocean water beneath his feet creating a solid surface that he could so easily stand on. The fact that he was freezing sea water simply astounded her, wondering how he had so much control to lower the temperature of salted water to well below freezing. "No pun intended, walking on water and all... That's amazing!"
She took a deep breath at his request, looking down at the water with a slight tilt of her head before her eyes went back up to his. Her logical side told her the worst that would happen is that she got a little wet and the best that would happen was that she would experience something amazing. "Alright... Hopefully I can't mess this up somehow," she smiled and laughed quietly, imagining that she could somehow break magic. Her eyes lidded then closed and she took a bold step out onto the water as if she were simply taking another step off of the sand with her hand still in Domo's. She didn't know what to expect.
