User Image while upon sitting on the table, she turned to face him, now sitting with her legs crossed, Indian style. Then, she rudely began to play with the mans hair, moving it in different places. The Spire realized he was examining her overall appearance. This could be problematic.

Though, what caught her attention was the fact that he hasn't made any inquiry as to take the advantage and send her in. So whats his story? " I'm looking for someone who smells of sweet honey." In truth when you go to take in the scent on honey comb, it's a bit stale. As in the scent just isn't really there unless the honey itself has been condensed into the bottle to which people use to sweeten whatever it is they eat and drink.

Though the person she was seeking was none other than her father, sadly she doesn't remember what he looked like. She was a little lass when her father left the both of them. In a way she held hate for him. How could a father abandon the one he loves and his own child? To leave have not protect them from the slavers? For a moment, Charlotte looked away to let out a breath she didn't realize she had held.

Though, remembering the man before her, his tone was a bit dull. She is only use to music and life itself, yet his voice alone felt as though it was torn from him. Perhaps she could fix that with her company alone. "Comme c'est intéressant..." Charlotte whispered allowed before turning to face the stranger once more. "If you're looking for work, I'll hire you, in return you travel with me. Deal?" The Spired offered with a small smile.

Chris... didn't know what to think about this woman. It didn't help or hinder his opinion on her when she began to mess with his hair in whatever way she wished, though he would recall that some, if not most, other people would have questioned her about this. Of course, he didn't particularly care about that... what truly caught his attention was her vague description of 'someone'. Someone who smelt of sweet honey... The wanderer had never cared for things along the lines of who people were, what they smelled like, or how they looked, but her close proximity and actions were making it difficult to ignore those things about her.

Without much to say about this 'smelled' person, he watched her gaze off to the side to let out a breath. She had been thinking about something, but what it was was no concern to him. Managing to catch that whisper of hers, though unable to understand what she had said from it, his eyes eventually met hers again as she spoke about a 'job'. Considering how she had practically just met him, it was interesting in a way to see how she was willing to trust someone like him with a task. Seeing her smile... he closed his eyes as he slightly leaned back into his chair. "Maybe... Should I assume I would travel with you until you found this person that 'smells of sweet honey'?" came his reply, the tone exactly the same as before.

User Image Charlotte watched the man ponder for the short moment before hearing his reply. Why such dullness to his voice? Was her guess true? No one could possess such empty rhythm to their voice unless it was taken from them. The Spire smiled some more, as if intrigued by his outstanding apparel.

"You can or don't..." Charlotte replied without giving it any thought. All she really needed was a littleinsurance to ensure that she wouldn't get caught. In a way of her journey most would say she is a coward in running away whereas others would beg to differ. Either way, she needed an answer. With the earlier commotion, she was sure the authorities would be waltzing in at any moment. As a natural reaction towards such thoughts, she pulled down her hat to obscure her facial features, though she is sure, that this man had already caught wind of who she is......and probably doesn't care?

That would explain a lot now that she thinks on it. Either way, Charlotte hopped off the table, dusted herself off and turned back to see the young man. "Rather or not you give a solid answer, I'm staying in your room tonight. How you say...I'm broke?" Charlotte smiled wider in her ever teasing laughs before walking over to the barkeep to inform him to let the in keeper know of her stay, while obtaining a spare key.

"Allons-nous discuter...er ah...Let us chat privately no?" Charlotte continued before waiting on the stranger by the steps leading up to the rooms.

In truth, Chris found the answer that the woman had given was... proper in a way. In the end, regardless of whether he chose to accept or decline, the end result of the journey would still mean nothing to him, particularly on what her goals were. Still, it did bring questions to mind as to why she would choose to ask him than others. Looking at her for a moment as he noticed her hand pulling that hat of hers down somewhat to obscure her face, he glanced toward the tavern door. It... didn't seem like there were any authorities about, though considering her bounty, it made logical sense for her to be cautious nonetheless.

Upon hearing what the woman had to say, Chris simply gave her a stare all the while as she went to get a spare key. Staying in his room for the night? Well... whatever, he supposed. He knew that, if he still had access to emotions, he might have reacted differently to her statement... but for now, he didn't care. As he heard her comment about chatting privately, though, he stared for a moment longer before silently getting to his feet, following her up the steps and toward his paid room in silence.

User Image Upong entering the bedroom, Charlotte looked about, spinning herself slowly to look all around. "Pas en mauvais état ....." Charlotte said aloud in her foreign tongue before looking to the man in front of her now as she stood the in the center of the room.

She stared him down, examining him from head to toe, wondering why it is he so is emotionless....one with no song or joy. This might become irritating towards her later on in if he decided to join her on the journey. For now, it just seemed like she was doing all the commanding without even thinking for a moment on what he wanted.

Perhaps she should take this into consideration. For now, Charlotte placed her right hand over to her left shoulder, lowering her touch to her left shoulder blade where the scare remains. She had the Degen ability to regenerate broken bones and terrible wounds....perhaps she could restore her wings slowly, bit by bit. It will be painful.... Lowering her hand away from the scaring on her shoulder blades, the Spire looked about, as though denying the fact that something bothered her.

"I noticed your realization of who I am....I am that wanted girl.....Trade me in and you'll be handsomely rewarded, Slavers have that about them....." Charlotte began while giving off an unusual serious tone about her.

Upon entering his- well, their room, Chris immediately planted himself against the wall, setting his claymore to the side as he watched the woman move about. Most notably, he had noticed her hand move to her left shoulder blade, touching it in such a way that made him barely curious as to what it could have meant. Of course, his curiosity was fleeting, and soon he had already ignored the idea.

When she spoke about his realization with a serious tone, Chris remained in silence for a bit as his gaze remained fixated upon her own. Eventually, though, his eyes closed as he stated, "Not all wanted individuals are guilty of their crimes..." Reopening them again, he then said, "You can use the bed for tonight. If we're planning to travel, though, we'll need to leave by morning. A civil war seems to be brewing in the wind, and the sooner we leave, the sooner the trouble will leave our minds."

From the way he chose his words, it sounded like he had immediately accepted her offer, but for what reason was unknown to her. For him, though, it was simply the lack of anything else being important at the time, so why not travel around with her. He could only wonder if she was as skilled as the wanted poster had mentioned, or if she would simply slow him down... Well, only one way to know for sure.

Do'Roelin

A pair of boots settled gently over the roofing of the adjacent building, as their occupants stared down towards the inn with malicious intent. He'd already caused considerable damage to his previous visiting area...as well as the inn he'd met just before, but this time the Master was content with allowing the structure to remain intact...as long as his hand was not forced.

"Tick...tock." Do'Roelin mumbled to himself, taking a cross legged seat upon the slanted surface, the rough texture allowing him to settle without concern for sliding. "As soon as you are ready Erzelemmentes." The Dengen Master chuckled, awaiting upon the roof top as the dim compass pointed gently towards the cozy temporary home. The Azarian waited quite patiently, enjoying his time as he waited for the warrior to exit the inn.

User Image Charlotte felt her cheeks brighten with pink to hear words she never thought to hear from another who could take the handsome reward money. The Spire simply smiled before bowing her head to him. This truly was fate to find such a kind lad to help something like herself.

Before she could make an advance to discuss their arrangements, a cold shiver crawled up and down her spine, a sense of darkness came from behind. Was someone out to spill blood? And who's? Charlotte looked to the window before looking back to the stranger. Her face change expressions to concern as she turned her back to him and headed over to the windowsill near the end table by the bed, and sat beside it, pushing the cream colored curtain back, only to see a shadowed figure perched upon the near by rooftop.

It would appear her cold senses came from this man who held such darkness to him. However, if her gut feeling was right, this figure wasn't after Herself...But perhaps the man who had recently agreed to help her. This could become a problem....Charlotte stared at the figure for the longest time, before closing the curtain then pushing the heavier drapes closed, to shield any further sight to the figure outside.

Charlotte looked back to the man inside the room with a weak smile before standing back up again. She then took off her hat and held it in her hands, showing off her red curly hair and small pointy ears. "I'm a Spire.....If we're going to travel we need to be honest....I'm Charlotte...You are?" She thought a way to break to break the silence or stop it from starting. Anything to keep things in motion.

Despite noticing the bow she gave to him, a sign that she was possibly glad to hear his response, he kept his gaze off to the side. Chances were, as this journey of theirs progressed, she would come to dislike his attitude and either try to force him to change or simply leave him be. Well, until that time came, he figured it was worth the shot to remain as her traveling companion. As he thought this over, he wasn't aware of her actions at the window, nor did he notice that same dark presence that she did. He had left himself open, a mistake he hadn't intended to make, but for now, he didn't know that just yet.

Glancing to her as she spoke her name and what she was, it was then that he noticed those pointy ears of hers. They had obviously been hidden by the hat she wore, but she had taken it off possibly to show him the complete description of her head. At the same time, a fleeting question rode into his mind, prompting him to ask her what a Spire was. But, as before, he moved his mind away from it as he eventually responded. "My name is Chris... Chris Rushlon. I'm a human, though not in the fullest sense of the word."

User Image Hear the other spoke, brought some relief to her. She had to get her mind off of the feeling that the stranger outside wanted blood, and most likely her new companions blood. Charlotte smiled weakly to the other figure as she walked over to the bed, and sat herself down upon the mattress. " Chris huh? Pas trop mal.....Eh..." Charlotte caught herself be fore continuing in her fluent language.

Letting out a sigh, she new this man before her was going to be troublesome with his whole blank exterior. Has this man lost all his emotion? Perhaps he has something left, like curiosity. If so, he really is doing his best to dismiss any further thoughts about it. "So tell me about the lands you visited....Perhaps I can go off on a random guess that the person I'm looking for might be there....." Charlotte started, just rambling on, anything to get this guy to talk.

Anything to keep him inside where, hopefully it's safe from the harm outside, waiting for them.... Surly its foolish to think she would be safe anywhere regardless, but it was still the thought that mattered that, maybe should could find some kind of security with someone else. And so far, that someone as of now is this Chris fellow.

Fell silent for the time she was, his gaze remaining on her as she asked him about the various places he had traveled. She had given her reason for asking such a question, though Chris figured there was more to it. Regardless of whatever the hidden motive was, he began to talk. He told her about the various places he had been to, the sights he had seen, the difficult terrain he had traversed. In a way, his story could have been grand, but telling it as such was difficult for one without emotions to display or express.

"... I had planned to stay in Anoch for a day longer," he finally reached in his story, "but a situation came up where it was better for me to leave. From there, I traveled to Grand Port and stayed for a few hours. There wasn't much of interest, however, so I went back on my way, ending up here. Needless to say, that's where the story ends."

Upon finishing his tale, Chris closed his eyes for a moment as he thought over everything he had said. Like any tale, it was difficult to state all of the details transpiring major events, but she had only asked about the places he had been to. Thus, his tale had been shortened to the places and how long he chose to stay with the vague explanation of why. He figured this was enough to sate her curiosity, though he was ready in case of more questions.

“The rain…it seems it wont yield for some time mother…”Skyron spoke calmly, staring out into the rain as if it were to somehow alter to his will. “It falls…so easily…I do not wish to be like the rain.” The Sorrian King uttered, a confusing look appearing upon his mother’s features. This statement was quite confusing to Momolla, for she had not caught on to what it was that he had been speaking of. She thought of the rain simply as rain, and thus questioned as to why her son did not wish to be like water. Noting this expression the king then managed to further explain…something he was beginning to dislike. “I shall not fall so easily.”

“Of course not my dear, you are wise as ever a king was, and the people love you nearly as much as I” The queen sputtered, suddenly comprehending the false heir’s words. “What news comes of Lucheston?” She asked, seeming more like a child by comparison with every word she spoke. The term used to describe the Sorrian’s father seemed to prod at something within him however, and a scowl appeared upon the Silver King’s features as his brow furrowed into clear anger.

“Tenzonokit was kind enough to honor our treaty, and should be placing him under arrest as we speak. A representative should take him back to Garnoff in chains….and Oban still travels through the vast Grand Woods…”Skyron seemed to spit out the name of his brother, for in truth though he had placed no blame upon his twin within the courtyard, Oban was the source of many of Skyron’s discontent. “He should arrive in Dragon’s Breath by night fall three days from now…should the last message by hawk be correct.” Placing his hands behind his back, clasping them together in a formal stance, Skyron began to walk back towards the center of the throne room.

All was being changed among the city’s streets, even so early into his reign. Walking past a column of fine marble, the Silver King watched as red and silver banners fell over the green and silver banners of his father. Red seemed more suiting to Skyron…it symbolized his passion, his desire, and if provoked…his wrath.

“And what of the Silver Knights? Are they still loyal to the former traitors?” She asked, shocking a few of the silent decorators for the manner she implied of her husband and son.

“The Hunters are more than capable of dealing with any uprisings…the Silver Knights are perhaps elite among those of this world…but among those of Garnoff they are simply citizens by comparison.” Skyron chuckled with his confidence. “I shall not so easily fall.”

The dark dungeon cell Elle found herself was as dank and miserable a place as she had ever seen. Even for a girl born into poverty, fighting for the crumbs the royalty didn't dare touch, she found herself more down-trodden than ever. It had taken a remarkably short amount of time for the Hunters to seek her out. She'd done her best to hold out, but days shut in darkness without food had taken their toll. Her heart was broken as she was forced to reveal her lady's plot for escape. It offered some consolation that the queen-to-be was well on her way. There had been rumors of the princess being locked up in the dungeon, but the Hunters whispered conversations revealed something different. Not only was she not in Skyron's grip, they couldn't find her at all.

Once she'd finally confessed, her punishment had only lessened slightly. As long as her lady remained missing, she was just another body in the castle. And with a dungeon open, it was as good a place as any for an extra. She received food uncomfortably similar to what she'd eaten in her childhood, but it was edible and kept the hunger pangs away. The tiny window didn't offer much in the way of light, but it did provide enough to let the young maid know when night fell.

She was not quite pretty enough for the Hunters to take much notice of her form, a fact she was grateful for. They did not even notice her enough to edit their words when they were near. And so she heard a terrible piece of news: Lucheston had been arrested. She had high levels of respect for the monarch that had passed the act that allowed those lowly born to ascend to the palace. And then for his daughter-in-law to further her ascension by promoting her to lady-in-waiting. For a little while, she'd gone higher than anyone had every thought she would. And now it's all gone. She thought, leaning against the rough, uneven wall of her cell. That was the worst punishment of all.

It became apparent that either Charlotte had fallen asleep where she stood or she was deep in her own thoughts. Either way, Chris remembered at that point about an errand he needed to run. Considering that she was the sort of person that needed to avoid as much exposure as possible, he figured it would be better for her to stay here.

Turning around, he stated, "I need to go do something real quick. I'll return here before we leave," as he opened the door and stepped beyond it.

Closing her back up into the small room, he slowly made his way down the stairs and out of the tavern. His task would have been simple... Go to the closest market area and purchase a few bits of traveling rations. Simple and easy. However, he was still unaware of the danger looming practically above him. A lesson he was sure to learn...
