As the bullets sailed past Sonata she spooked a bit, a surprised squeal escaping her as she backpedaled a few steps before remembering her charge...
...just in time to see a huge fireball heading down the hallway. Well, that was definitely going to be unpleasant.
The shiny Ponyta herded Tambrey back towards the corner they'd rounded in the first place, but when it became apparent they wouldn't make it at this pace she slid her neck under the girl and half-carried her back around the corner as quick as she could. Even if they didn't make it, being the same type as said attack would protect her from the brunt of it - not all, of course - but humans didn't really have that sort of protection, so retreating was obviously the better course of action.
Inigo hurried after the group, rounded the corner, skidded to a halt, backpedaled as he returned both grass-types while uttering a string of foreign curses, and he grabbed Alba's arm in one hand and held onto Oriana with the other. With both in hand he retreated back behind the corner they'd emerged from in the first place -- and he had every intention of taking his Chimecho and his roommate with him. There was no way he would leave them to that.. that thing. All they needed now was that exploding hedgehog and he'd have those nightmares again every night for the next year.

The sound of gunfire drew a short cry from the medic who instinctively drew closer to her Arcanine and pulled her hands over her head. The large dog moved to form a shield for the fragile human - she wasn't about to lose another trainer to those people - and growled viciously. Arcadie watched as Mr. Pointy swiftly made his way for cover and called after him, "You're the one with armor here! Get to the front, fils de pute!" She frowned, both at the situation at hand and at her own profanity, and desperately tried to think of something she could do. Anything she could do. This was nothing like training.
"Ahh, uh, umm, Buggy!" The Spinarak, having taken up a station on the human's shoulder, turned his surprised attention to the addresser. "Do that thing you do! The webby stuff! Spider Web?"
Oh, that was something he sort of understood, sure. Mise, trembling though he was, made every effort to block the hall with his thread. Maybe that would slow down their aggressors, if only for a while.

Fireballs and human skin did not mix. With this in mind Frost dived back around the corner, making a grab for Xander's arm in an attempt to pull him back too if he wasn't already moving under his own power. Tethys. According to Star's information she would have been the one to lead interrogations. Frost did not actively hate very many people but that woman had just made it onto the list. If he could get a clear shot of her through all this chaos he would be a very happy man indeed.
For the time being however he released Koios and Gilda from their pokeballs and inspected his assembled team of four. "In a few moments we shall go back around the corner," he informed them. "Give it everything you have, be mindful of type alignments, and if you have a chance to remove any body parts from the long-haired women I would consider it a personal favour above and beyond the call of duty. Understood?" Three nods of acknowledgement, and one screech of acknowledgement from Persephone. That would do very well indeed.

Of course they could not expect to get out that easily, not when they were smack in the middle of the HQ with alarms going off.
The scream from star, and the gun fire cause Faleen to screech to a halt and stagger back. catching her footing back, and reaching down to her pokemon again, this time picking up a dusk ball from the order.
"BACK BACK!" She called to the team before they could run into the trap any further. Her eyes on the familiar blue haired women that was now advancing on them.
Faleen threw the ball she had, her Sharpedo bursting from the black energy with a roar, and rush of water. in an attempt to shield as much of the team as it would, the Sharpedo formed a Surf attack, throwing a wave of water to try and head off as much of the overwhelming flames as he could.

There had not been nearly as much warning as Jerome needed to react. Or what he had the ability to react to in the condition he was in.
Inked eyes saw the blockade of Galactics, heard the shots being fired. but unlike Star, Jerome didn't have a metal plating to guard him from the bullets. He felt the pain first, and it caused him to stagger back, losing his grip on Bro' then more agony, and he fell.
He had no idea how many times he hit, only that he felt like he was being tortured again, and he couldn't move his body. Bro' and Boss were crying out out over him, though to him they sounded muffled, throwing out whatever attacks they could to try and cover their trainer. Jerome was finding that he couldn't seem to get himself to move fast enough.

Rory had left Shadow's side and tried to work his way up to Pinkie and Lore. He finally got close enough to the pair when the gangly man came running through like a pack of Houndooms were after him.
When he looked up, he realized it would have been better if it was Houndooms for the size of the fire ball that was coming towards them. He dropped to the ground but it didn't stop the flames from licking the leg of his uniform and burning the skin underneath.
Pinkie was doing her best to help protect her charge, until she heard the painful screams coming from her trainer. She whimpered before abandoning Lore to the protection of his own pokemon and racing to her Rory's side.

When they rounded the corner there was a problem. A big problem. Tethys. It felt as though his insides had turned to ice the moment he set eyes on her. No. No no no. Not again. The fact that she wasn't firing at them for the moment did nothing to reassure him, he knew she would before long and when she did Alex would not be in her line of fire. As the Galactic Commander reached for a pokeball Aulus stepped in front of his partner, and when he saw what it was he swore. As the huge bug flapped its wings he spun around - no time to run - and wrapped his arms around his friend, shielding him from the oncoming fireball with his body.
Hayes didn't waste breath on swearing; it had all fled his lungs an instant before. As Tethys unleashed her Volcarona he glanced toward Aulus- -and found himself tackled to the ground, the air uncomfortably thick and burning his throat. Something smelled like someone's first attempts at grilling, and it took him a moment to realize the awful screaming wasn't him for once.
"Aulus!" he yelled, though it came out more like 'uulmph' if at all.
The only response the elite got was a whimper.

Oh firey frakking Arceus! Bullets and Tethys and lots of fire!
Tambrey, quite possibly spooked as much as Sonata did; her eyes widened at the blurry, flamey scene of that particular Galactic... the Starmie... and that flaming moth.
She had /no/ objection to the idea of retreating back around the corner, though was a little unsteady and let out a slight squeak herself as she was suddenly moving without any real effort on her part.
Fire was happening and she could feel heat but being so close to the ponyta was surely a help... Around the corner, they were going; she knew she'd gotten some small amount of burning to add to the burns left by Tethys' Starmie, but it could be much worse... "Thanks.." She told Sonata, reaching to pet her a little. She wanted to help though and as she was dragged around the corner, she found herself trying to work out which pokeball she wanted... "Really should have marked these..."

Crap. It was lucky that Frost had grabbed Xander and pulled him along with because the blond wasn't moving as fast as he needed to. As it was a bullet managed to scrap across his arm leaving a light burn and gash in it's wake. He yelped and moved farther behind the wall, moving a hand up to cover the wound. "Thanks." He said to Frost and called out Zack.
"Zack, the bug, Conrad," He glanced at the Eevee. "The Starmie." He had a score to settle with that water pokemon for what it did to Tambrey. Zack growled then aimed a Bite at the Volcarona while Conrad used Quick Attack to catch up to the Starmie.

Star panted as he scrambled away, fumbling with the pokéballs at his belt. Before he could get one loose he felt a Starmie limb connect with the back of his head, knocking him off his feet.
TRP's eyes widened as the volcarona's attack swept forward. "GET DOWN!" She and her pokémon hit the floor as the wave of flames rushed down the hall. "Loki, shadow ball! Satoshi, thunderbolt! Into the crowd of Galactics!!" She hoped to break up this roadblock, though at the moment chances seemed slim.

The Haunter glanced around at the Rockets retreating, glad they had the sense to do so. The kid behind him, however, had been too stunned and distracted to do so, and had thus received some pretty bad burns to the chest. A tattooed man to the side had got some bullets in him, another young man had gotten licked by the flames about his legs, and yet another pair of Rockets were on the ground, one shielding the other from the worst of the heat.
Looking stunned, the pokemon narrowed his eyes as he turned his attention back to the blue-haired woman. This was all her fault. How dare she attack her own kind so openly? She wasn't even going for their pokemon. In a fight of pokemon vs. human, it was no question who had the advantage. It just wasn't fair. In anger, the ghost began to charge a dark, Shadow Ball in his three-clawed, purple hands.
Shadow, whimpering in pain, tried to think of something more he could do. He didn't want to just be a helpless sitting duck in the center of the hallway. Others were doing things - Aulus was being a noble shield for his partner, Inigo, Frost, and Faleen were leading the others back...and he was just kneeling there, on the ground. Instinctively, he reached in his pocket for the pokeball Jerome had given him earlier. Tossing it out, he held his breath, wondering what kind of pokemon would emerge.
Lindsay came out with a sharp, angry cry. She had been cooped up for far too long. Upon looking around, she realized they were in a critical situation, and her trainer - Shawn? Was that Shawn?! It had been so long since she'd last seen him! What had happened to him?! Why was he so pale, and thin, and - and burned?!
It was the bug up ahead! It must have been! In a cry of rage, the furious Jolteon rushed forward to get up closer to the bug before unleashing a full-powered Thunder. It needed to die. It and its obnoxious trainer!

Maybe it was the suddenness and lack of warning. Or maybe, it was a sign that he wasn't as over past events as he wished he could be. The reason, however, didn't matter much at that moment. All that mattered was the sound of gunshots and images repeating in Alba's head like a cruelly broken record. He had pulled to a complete and sudden halt, frozen in place, and not registering a single thing about anything or anyone around him.
Inigo pulling him back to safety was his saving grace at the moment. Not only did it spare Alba from the immediate dangers of fire and bullets, but also managed to pull him once more out of his own head. "W-wha-...?" When had he moved to sitting with his back against the hard wall? When had he started shivering? And who was screaming?
"CHINGLING CHING!" "Deer!"
Alba looked up just in time to be greeted by one of Spook's "hugs" to his face. Prying her off, he issued the weak order, "I-I'm fine. Help the others..." He really should get up and do something... something useful... but right now, he was struggling just to still see the floor of the hallway and Rockets and Pokemon in the enclosed space around him at present. Not... cement in an old backroom... not that... please...
Spook watched her human sadly, but complied with the order. For starters... those Galactics that had just tried to hurt her human needed to go. The bell Pokemon huffed angrily as she floated around the corner, landed in the hallway, and at the first opening, unleashed her loudest Uproar.

Pinkie stared in horror at her trainer as he rolled around trying to get the flames on his legs to go out. She left him! She left him alone! Just like he did in the forest! And look what happened! She never should have left his side.
She looked over where Shadow's Jolteon, a Haunter, and a Chingling were attacking the woman that had set loose the bug that caused the fire.
She let out a loud cry and reared up on her hind legs before charging back to the front line and attacking with a huge Fire Spin.

Galactic Commander Tethys

The flames sizzled where they hit the Surf, sending up clouds of steam through the hall. Behind their Pokemon, several Galactics raised their hands to their ears to shield themselves from the Uproar.
As Tethys' Starmie came around the behind the group like a boomerang, Conrad's Quick Attack knocked it off-course. The Pokemon ricocheted off a wall, threatening to clock Rocket and Pokemon in the head.
The Thunder and Thunderbolt grounded themselves on the horn of a Blitzle in the group, which reared up and charged just ahead of the commander to return with a Shock Wave at the front line of Rockets. A Croconaw saw its Galactic fall under Loki's Shadow Ball and returned with a jet of Scalding water, aided by the swampy conditions of the hall.
The Volcarona's eyes shifted down; there was a small, fluffy thing attached to its wing. Fire bloomed along its body, enveloping it in a growing ball that once again drifted down the hall with deceptive grace.
Tethys' voice was barely audible over the unholy noise in the hall as she spoke into her communicator.

Faleen dropped down as the flames barreled past them, hunkering behind her Sharpedo, that was at least keeping some of the Rockets from being engulfed. Though not all of them could be helped, she watched as several of the team got burned, and bad. other had dropped before from gunfire. while others managed to duck away out of harm.
Lifting her head back up, TRP yelling orders to her pokemon, Faleen picked up the lone Dark ball at her thigh and tossed it out to join the Elite's pokemon.
"Sharpedo! Charizard! Help TRP's pokemon!" She told them.
As she did, Charizard let out a furious roar, and threw forth a mouthful of flamethrower of his own at the Galactics while Sharpedo kept up his Surf.
Faleen in the mean time turned her focus on the Rockets, the ones who needed help, A lot of them were struggling, And the Galactic with the blue hair seemed to have her focus on Star, who was clearly in an all out panic... NOT the way to react when on a mission. "Absol, Night Slash." she told her dark type. The horn on his head glowed in a dark energy, before he left forward to attack the Starmie.
"We need to get the injured!" She herself had hurried over to Rory, grabbing onto the man's shoulders and dragging him over to Sharpedo, where the water splashing around him as it gushed from his wide gaping mouth would be able to put the flames out.

Jerome still couldn't move, even the pain was starting to die as his entire body was just going numb. He had been shot... he recognized the feeling when it had happened. but he didn't know where.
The gangster was covered in blood, seeping from holes in his leg, his torso, and even though his shoulder.
While Boss took care of defense, Bro had hurried to Jerome's side, looking over his Trainer in horror. They needed to move him. the Gengar reached out to grab up the remaining pokeball from Jerome's belt, and released the monstrosity that was Hirss.
The chaos was easily flaring up the pokemon's temper, but with Bro snapping at her to get her attention, she then noticed Jerome laying on the ground, not moving, and bleeding out.
She stared for a couple of seconds while Bro snapped at her to not mess around this time, and to help carry Jerome, Bro' wasn't even sure if she would understand what he meant, if the stupid monster was capable enough of even that.

Lindsay barked viciously and growled, enraged that her attack had been absorbed by the other electric-type. How dare they! Did they know who she was? Did they know what they'd done?! They'd messed with her trainer!
In an attempt to retaliate (and in a rare display of critical thinking rather than rash, impulsive attacking) the Jolteon fought back with a Quick Attack at the Croconaw. She was glad to see Shadow dragging himself around the corner, back behind the wall with the others and out of harm's way.
In the mean time, the wild Haunter had finished the creation of his Shadow Ball, but had been hindered by the Shock Wave. He flinched, unable to avoid it, but retaliated quickly by releasing the ball of dark energy in his possession.
