And Syd fell, her hand tightening on her crossbow as she screamed-- or tried to. Her voice just couldn't come out, and she lost her breath completely as she landed face first on the ground.
For a moment she gasped for air, laying there on her stomach, tears threatening. She had NOT seen that coming.
More fool her.
Slowly she started breathing in short little gasps that slowed after a few moments. Then slowly she pushed herself to her hands and knees.

And-
This was why Marcus felt that Julie missions were a one way ticket to ********. Something bad was bound to happen. As he felt, Dis was telling him to try and slow his fall by digging the weapon into the wall. At best, it would slow him down or stop him, at worst, the weapon would get stuck.
Neither happened.
Landing on his side he was pretty sure he just threw out his shoulder or something because it was in a ******** ton of pain. Reaching over, he was also sure that the dark stain on his arm was blood. Lovely. Using Dis like a cheap light, he wrapped his scarf around the wound, he tried to also put it into a makeshift sling, hissing as he did so. <******** it all Julie. Why?
Cass's voice had his hissed a reply. "Scuffed, otherwise alive."
Moving to what he assumed to be the center of the 'pit' Marcus held up his weapon. "Anyone hurt as in, seriosuly hurt?" His head moved to the sound of- Dis wasn't telling him about any FEAR though... ".....We in the same caves that hold Excalibur and Merlin or something?" The last bit was muttered to himself. It was the only place he could think of 'below' the island.

Julie.
Julie, why.
That was the only thing that was going through Eva's find as she found herself plummeting downwards with the other trainees. Her landing was anything but soft, and the girl found herself wincing as she pushed herself up into a sitting position and--
Someone's hand was on her boob.
To her credit, Eva didn't seem particularly upset, choosing to wait patiently for the other person to realize just where their hand was. When the hand was hastily removed and was followed by a vaguely familiar voice apologizing, Eva simply laughed. "No big deal. It wasn't like you were trying to grope me on purpose, right?" There was a good-natured teasing tone to her voice as she stood up, patting herself off. A hand went up to summon Chara so that she would some kind of light source.
"That being said...man, where are we?"

Marcus' not-so-subtle attempt at waking him up worked. Gale's head snapped up instantly.
"It is NOT undo - "
Except he didn't really have time to finish his sentence since at that moment all he felt was the ground dropping out from beneath his feet.
Literally.
He didn't even have time to shout or let out a few choice swear words before he was falling - before they were all falling and everything around him was quite suddenly black. Gale felt the air rushing past his face, rifling through his hair, and then -
Smack.
"OW MARY MOTHER OF - "
This was followed by a string of curses, none of them particularly appropriate, and a grunting, shuffling sound as Gale attempted to stagger back to his feet. He wobbled unsteadily, careening sideways into someone who looked as though it might have been Eva - "Sorry, Eva" - and staggering back, his head spinning. His left wrist felt awkward and pain was ricocheting up his arm - he had not heard a snap, and he could still move his fingers, so it was not broken. Just a simple sprain, most likely, but since it was not his dominant hand, he did not bother to respond to Marcus' question, instead fumbling in the dark to press his right finger against the ring - a reassuring touch of cool metal, just to make sure it was still there.
Not that he could have lost it anyway, but it was nice to know.
There was a flash of light and Jinhai appeared; a welcome weight against the palm of his hand. And then -
"Where the bloody hell are we."

Jerry's thoughts were on Pizza. And how maybe he should talk to Sasha about their plans with the Choir. And a dozen other things. They were not on the floor suddenly dropping out from under them, nor the moment of terror as they clung in a terrifying purgatory over the gaping mouth of what he considered hell.
The ground came to meet him, and while he could hear voices all around him, familiar voices, voices he should have heard assuring, there were *other noises too*, out in the distance. The dark was pressing around him, he could vaguely see glimmers of people around him from the glow of their weapons, but even Roar's glow did nothing to permeate it's thickness. Oh god, oh god oh god oh god- he tried to find his voice, but all that came out was a faint, wobbling howl.
Jerry did not like the dark. He was doing better when it came to being alone in his room with a nightlight, but this was different. Jerry was not happy.

The first thing that Sasha wondered as she was tumbling into the abyss was who would build a kitchen on top of a sinkhole?
The second thing Sasha wondered as she hit the floor with a heavy thud was who or what was making that ungodly sound?
Thankfully Nona seemed to gleam in the ... thing ... they all found themselves in, and Sasha took a moment to make sure she was okay. No broken bones, thankfully, but she was a bit bruised and scraped up. Hooking Nona into her jacket, she patted her pocket reassuringly just to make sure that ... yep, the kazoo was still there. Whew.
Next was to figure out where the howling was coming from. It sounded human, and someone could be hurt. Squinting in the barely-there light that Nona gave off, Sasha shuffled along until she was close enough that she could barely make out Jerry and Roar.
Oh. It was Jerry making that noise.
Hurriedly she hunkered down next to him, patting him here and there just to make sure that there was no blood pooling around him. "Jerry? A-are you okay? Are y-you hurt?"

"I- I- It- we- the f-floor and- out out we... fell and... got to... can't see-" He gasped, btu at least he had stopped moaning, frantically grabbing a hold of the arm of the familiar voice as though she would kindly lead him out of the black pit and into the safe light from which they came.
Laying where Jerry had dropped him on the ground beside him, Roar could only groan to maddened deaf ears, as though begging Sasha even if she couldn't hear him, Would someone just slap him already?

“She is.” Wilson said this matter-of-factly. “Maybe if you meet her another couple of times you’ll start to see.” He kept grinning as Eva walked over and nodded in affirmation. “She didn’t really say, but looks like we’re going to renovate the kitchen.” Then his eyes grew wide with surprise and immediately stepped aside so Ami and Eva could see each other better. “I’m sorry! Ami, this is Eva. Eva, this is A—”
And that was when Julie decided it was smart to de-summon her shield.
The fall was sudden and Wilson was so effing confused he couldn’t bring himself to yell during the long drop. But there was a definite yelp of pain as he landed on his back, the metal of his weapon poking his back. “Ouch…” Wilson groaned, slowly rolling to his side. “Ami, Eva? Are you there?” he weakly called out, but he found them as soon as he bothered to look to his sides. Both of them were already up when Wilson got back on his feet.
He heard Gale’s voice and answered, “I have no idea.”

"Hungryyyyy.." Candace groaned unhappily, getting a bag of popcorn from the vending machine. An unpopped bag. Great, just great. Oh well, at least there were microwaves in the kitchen. Atropos was chuckling, mocking Candace for her hunger pains and commenting about how she sounded just like her when there was a delightful amount of fear around. Candace was ignoring her. She had missed the commotion for the most part, too absorbed in her own woes to pay much attention to the explosions and crashes coming from the very kitchen she was headed for. Unfortunately it would have helped if she had heard these things. The moment Candace stepped into the kitchen she noticed...there was no floor. It became painfully clearer there was no floor when she felt gravity take over, letting out a cry of surprise as she fell down, down, down. Summon me summon me summonemeSUMMONEMESUMMONMENOWJACKDAMNYOU! Atropos shrieked. Candace quickly did as she was ordered, summoning Atropos as quickly as she could right before landing on something soft and...uh..living? She groaned and rolled off the poor fool she had landed on, rubbing her back with a hiss of pain. "Ugh, s**t. I'm so sorry..." ********. That hurt. She could only imagine how the person she landed on felt. "Where the hell...how did...what the ******** is going on?" She couldn't see a damn thing over the glow of everyone's weapons. Naturally she recognized Roar beside her ********! She landed on Jerry! There was also a second weapon. Whose..? She didn't recognize it. "Andum..other...person..."

s**t. Madison had tried to leap for something, anything solid as soon as she realized what was going on, but the ground she wanted to push off of vanished before she could even move. She fell with the others, trying not to scream and largely succeeding. She knew there were caves, why hadn't anyone thought to-
... She landed. Hard, but not as hard as she'd thought she might. Madison lay there winded for a moment, trying to catch her breath and taking stock of the inevitable bruises. Not dead, okay. Nothing broken, okay. Still. Ow. <******** the hell," she groaned finally, getting to her feet. One of the pizza boxes had landed nearby, the contents now a greasy dusty smear. What a tragedy.

"Good to hear, Ofelia!" Cass chimed back, happy to hear that people were holding up, before she shifted to try and find where Marcus was, shifting and feeling something distinctly slick dripping down the back of her leg. But she didn't feel like she was in pain at all....
Maybe...
Still, it was hard to navigate by the glow of her weapon, trying to find the familiar glowing runes of Desidero instead. "Glad you're still alive, Marcus, I'd be pretty damn depressed if that offed you." she chimed, somewhat teasing as she sidled up behind the boy, taking advantage of the dark to be a little grabby - unaware he'd just patched up his shoulder.

Jerry's response came in the form of a fresh, slightly breathless, pained groan. That wasn't quite a slap, but Roar was appreciative all the same.

Death from above in the form of Candace. Sasha fell forward when Candace came to a harsh landing, face mashing against Jerry's chest. She groaned, hissing with pain. Couldn't she just... stay right here? This wasn't quite like the plush chest of Clerise, but .. at the moment, Sasha's everything hurt. Everything. "C-candace?" She half-rolled off of Jerry, coming to a rest on the ground. Nona hadn't gone far, and Sasha was able to reclaim the hooks that had clattered away from her.

"Sasha?! Oh, god, I'm sorry. I don't...Jerry? Honey?" She pat her way around until she found Jerry, or who she hoped was Jerry. "Jerry? Are you okay? I'm so sorry I didn't have any control over...Sasha? Are you okay too?" Goddamnit.

"Summunturndalitesonplease..." Came Jerry's gurgling reply from the ground where he had resolved to cover his head in his arms and pretend he just had his eyes clenched shut- which he did, which helped the pretending. It didn't sound like he had dissociated, at least... or at least one could hope he hadn't. But he hadn't snarled or snapped at Candace just yet. In the grand scheme of things, he had bigger worries than two ladies fretting over him.
