And finally just to get a grip, he bit the damn thing with all his might, actually seeming to get a reaction as it flailed in surprise and pain, finally dislodging him and sending him sailing into the sand in a heap.

Nuru apparently wasn't as full as he looked as he lunged forward. Teeth snapping up the beast and then shaking ferociously. Green slimy goop going everywhere. He turned to Zar. Long slimy green thing still hanging from his mouth as she smiled and wagged his tail.

Zar surveyed the wreckage with a very satisfied expression. Finally success at something. Felt good. Shame his father wouldn't consider defeating a kraken as a success. Nor a sandcastle. Nor the loincloth.
Okay maybe it wasn't a success really.
But still felt good.
He gave Nuru a nonplussed look though. "Spit that out, it can't be good for you."

Freya had been searching for shells and other things to make her sandcastle with Mitsu and their new friend pretty, but when the announcement went out, and Herryk's castle remained standing, she squealed and dropped everything she'd been collecting, hopping into the air with a few beats of her wings and then dropping back down into a run, which for some reason seemed to be happening in slow motion, until she reached Herryk and jumped him.
"YEH WON!!" They didn't, but she sure made it seem like they did.

Nuru drooped his ears slightly before spitting it out obediently.
"Awww... but ah took it for youuuu... prefer flowers?" He asked smiling lopsidedly.
"Orrrrr... paper?" His smile grew.
He then noticed bird lady coming back with a slight frown... awkward time again.

Herryk cut a majestic figure against the dark sky as lightning flashed and the waves swirled around his bare feet. A chilling wind picked up, catching his hair and sending it rippling in the breeze. Okay, it didn't really happen like that. More like... crusted with sand, fried extra crispy, a weary expression on his face. Oh, and butter. There was the vile blood of the kraken, the extraordinarily crimson blood of the crabs mixed in with the butter, too. However, as soon as he saw Freya, his expression brightened. Their castle was still standing. Swooping her up in his arms, Herryk gave a bellow of laughter. And then he was promptly creeped out by JD.

Mitsu made her way down the beach and quickly saw one of the few structures still standing. Everything around it was....well it was a mess but it seemed Herryk and his team had done it. Smiling Mitsu shifted the little gator in her arms pleased to see Freya had made it already to congratulate her boil. " Congrats Herryk and....team." She didn't know the rest of them by name so sorry. Though...she stared at JD for a moment sure she had seen him before. But where?
