Kamui watched as Onyx spoke. She seemed to go cold for a moment and then back to normal. Kamui sighed gently as he looked to Kane. The boy seemed to become just the opposite of his mother getting excited and even talking about walking in Kamui's footprints. Kamui's head tilted. He didn't even know what footprints his son was walking in. They didn't seem like his own. He couldn't remember it. With a weak smile Kamui nodded "I guess so" he said softly before sipping his coffee once more.

As Onyx spoke to Kane Kamui had an idea. "Or you guys could spend some time at mine and Kai's place too. Gives you a chance to be around other kids" he offered simply. Sighing softly he shook his head. "We wont be able to leave there untill everyone finds a place to go" he added more to himself than anyone else. As he looked over to Onyx he realised she was talking to him. "Oh!" he seemed to jump a bit. "I guess its instinctual? But I dont know, maybe I knew more before..." He looked thoughtfull as he spoke.

She watched Kane watch Kamui as he spoke about spending some time at Kamui and Kai's place. The boy seemed to just light up at that. She thought about what Kai had said about staying together. She wasn't so sure how that was suppose to work, but when Kane began to beg her about going, she found herself not caring. She looked back at Kamui and nodded.

"Instinctual is good, it says that you likely still innately know your limits. Yes, Kane. Okay, yes. You know I wasn't going to deny you that." She said with a roll of her eyes. She took another drink off her tea.

Onyx nodded before she waved the boy off, telling him to go tell Aryehe about the change. She figured she would need to speak with Kai and Isabella about this. She doubt Aryehe wanted to be too far away from his time traveled cousin. She motioned for Kamui to follow her. She headed off to the the library area. She walked to the desk and placed her hand on the desk. She slowly pulled her hand up and two twin guns reappeared. While she had given them to him when he asked during the battle, she reclaimed them afterwards. She didn't like them too far away from her.

"Tell me Kamui, why did you mention staying at your place?" She asked as she turned towards him, keeping her hand on the desk. She wasn't exactly sure why he had done it. Why was he moving so fast to get them all together in one area? What motivated him to but so much obligation on his person?

"Yes, I have taken a liking to having them on me. I don't like them being too far since I have been using them for the last couple years." She watched him, listening to his answer to her question. It made sense.

"I understand your reasons. I just don't want you to push yourself into too much. I know you want to have a real family, I understand that more then I show, but at the same time, I don't want to pressure you into taking on things you may not be ready for. You have been a single free man for a while, changing into a family man....don't you think that is like forcing a car into reserve when you have it in drive already?"

Onyx gave him a gentle smile, wanting nothing more then to kiss him for his sweet words. But she held herself back. She nodded.

"Okay, maybe I don't understand. But I have to be sure. I wouldn't hesitate at the chance of living with you again, but I have Kane and his well being into account. I know you honestly have nothing but his best interest at heart, but I wanted to make sure" She said with a soft sigh. She rubbed a hand over her face.

"I wanted to make sure that you, your core values are still the same when it comes to Kane." She said with small smile.

Onyx heart broke for Kamui as he seemed to get upset. She walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. She even hugged him with her black wings. She just hugged him.

"I understand that. I suppose that I am just trying to prevent mole hills that haven't formed yet. You just seem so...eager to step back into....things. I worry that you may just...come to realize that it's not worth the effort and walk away from it all." She said softly, unsure as to what he would say. She wanted him t be happy, but things were so unsteady now. She felt the utmost joy from him being alive, but she was also petrified that he would try to be the man he once was, find out he does not want anything to do with that life and walk away. It was better not to have that happen.

Onyx nuzzled his neck when he leaned his head back. She smiled softly, enjoying being close to him. She hugged him tightly and let out a soft sigh when he reached up and touched her arms. She moved her head and kissed his cheek softly.
