West might have had more to say, but he couldn't help but turn his attention to Xiu as she sat down behind him and gave him that... face she always did. He shifted in his seat, facing forward as Arel and the Horseman began to speak. The baku never failed to make him feel uneasy, especially now.

He listened fairly intently while pretending to do nothing of the sort. West fiddled with his phone, reminded that he should check the thing by Gene's relative obsession with hers. It seemed he had a message.


There were so many things wrong with the text that he didn't even know where to start. First of all, what the hell was a Jiejie? Who had his number who would write something like this? And the heart...

West froze in his seat as the assembly drew to a close and the floor opened for questions. He could feel eyes on him. He swallowed, then slowly turned back around to address the ghost he had been speaking with, catching a flash of pale hair in his peripheral vision. The tatzel.

"Hope it is," he said to Genevieve with a nod, his voice steady. "See ya." Well, that had been nice. The next few minutes, however? Those promised to be a b***h.

It was good to see her again, having missed her throughout the remains of her first year of schooling, the three tailed meek creature becoming a six tailed year two, who seemed a little more.Taking the initiative that the kitsune offered, Jack followed her to the side, her bright smile reflected on his own face as he looked down on her, bright eyes glowing contently.

He would have more fun keeping someone company, whilst he himself had someone to converse with while watching the others throw themselves to the wolves, figuretively.

Slicking his hair back and out of his face, he looked up at the staging area again as she answered his question about the trials, watching as they took down everything and the set up for the signing up already was started, students everywhere humminga nd hawwing about what options they have, one ear honed on the little figure before him.

"I completely understand what you mean," he murmured, looking down to her again as he nodded his head for emphasis. "We can sit on the sidelines and support your friends, anyone will do better if they have someone cheering them on from behind, I'm sure, and your right, I am very interested in what trials come to us - and besides, one does better when they know what's coming to them, if it happens in the future." he finished, giving her a kurt smile as he straightened himself, dusting off some invisible dust on his clothing, before lifting an arm to her, offering to escort her out.

Shall we go then?" "He asked, starting off towards the exit.

My, there was certainly a lot to think about, wasn't there? These Trials sounded kind of dangerous, but the possibility of gaining new experience and improving oneself...well, that was tempting. Of course, if she wanted to join, she would have to find a group first. Three to five teammates per group, was it?

If Xiu noticed anything strange with Levi's demeanor--especially when the tatzel glanced at West--she didn't say anything. As it was, the baku had been too distracted to notice the strange look that her big sister had shot the wrath demon. The realization that Levi didn't own a eyephone hadn't hit her yet either, though it probably would later on in the day (in which case she would be very embarrassed, even if she didn't know who the message ended up going to).

Nope, right now, her mind too busy puzzling over this Trial. What would it consist of? How many groups would be going up against each other? Just how risky was this going to be?

In the end though, it didn't matter--Xiu decided that she wanted to join. Standing up suddenly, the ghoul smiled brightly at her friends--Levi, Lizzy, and Amphi--before giving a little nod of her head. "I'm definitely joining. But for now...I'm going to head back, okay?" Lifting a hand, she waved brightly, "See you guys later, Amphi, Lizzy, Jiejie! Goodbye, West!"

Since she had greeted him coming in, she figured that she should at least say goodbye to him when she left. With one final "OvO" face, she moved to leave the auditorium.

[Exit]

"Elle." She repeated, mentally contemplating it for a moment. Eh, it would work for now. "A nickname?" Circe asked confused. No one had ever called her anything other then her name, well other then her mom. "No one has ever called me anything then my name." She said, trying to leave it open for him to come up with something to call her if he wanted.

Circe grinned and almost wrapped her arms around him, but managed to stop herself at the last second. Could she hug a ghost? Certainly it was possible. Then she remembered that she was trying to be less... well clingy. But she couldn't help it! There was just to much joy to be contained in herself.

"I'm glad to hear that!" She finally said, settling on just a simple response instead. Her arms twitched slightly as if they were somehow trying to communicate. Hugssss. "Do you.... Want to go find some other students to join us? We could go back to my room and have pizza while we plan out everything!" Circe said before she once more questioned his ghostlyness.

He raised a hand to Xiu as she left, shaking it from side to side once before dropping it back to his lap. Was it too late to jump up from his seat and hurry out of the room? Probably. They were alone now, or as alone as they could be in a room full of departing students. West almost winced when Levi began to speak, so sure that she was going to bring up Scarentine's that he sucked in a quick breath, ready to cut her off before she could begin.

But, no. Things were... normal. She was acting normally, or normally enough to suit him at least. West slowly sighed out the excess of air in his lungs and turned toward the ghoul a bit more, smirking and shaking his head at her taunt. A good chunk of his discomfort dropped away as he muttered, "Joinin' b'fore you. I'll beat ya t'sign up n'everythin'." He honestly had less than no idea where he was going to get a team. Bul, Jericho, Levi herself—surely they all had other people in mind already. Maybe he could bully some first years into following him around while he kicked all the a**.

His smirk faded and he looked slightly thoughtful all of a sudden. What had Xiu said as she had left...? "You're jiejie..." His voice trailed off as he made the connection between the text he had received and what the baku had said. A faint memory stirred as well. Raining glass. Xiu asking Levi if she was all right. Yeah, she'd said it then too. But why was Xiu trying to reach Levi on his eyePhone? He really didn't want to think about that right now. West tried to grin, but it was kind of forced. "I should go anyway. Gotta... put my name inna cup or whatever."

The possibilities for a slimer’s forms were endless, but this one was still young.

His digestive system was intact and where it would be in most humanoids, and it was rumbling. It muffled. He wrapped an arm around his belly to hide the noise, and grinned a little at her in embarrassment, hoping she wouldn’t notice.

“I know someone who might teach you how to fight.” He thought of the mantis-man he befriended early in his academic life. “I need to learn how to fight as well.”

“But, my reasons…” he chuckled to himself, with the grin tint in his skin changing red, “I just want to see how it is…?”

“I’m sorry, if I don’t seem ambitious, getting those blessings is fine and dandy, but I’m for the experience, if that makes sense.”

A brows was raised, an eye was askew, and edges of his mouth slanted; confusion was written all over of them.

Lizzy quietened down when the assembly officially started, her attention held by Arel until someone - a horseman - interrupted, talking about... A trial? Coming of age ceremony for Horsemen? While the fact that he was being condescending did not go unnoticed, she tried to focus on the more important things - such as getting the clans' protection if they were to so called 'prove their worth' during the trials.

The exam thing was really only a bonus; she wasn't too worried about that.

"We'll have to go in groups though," She sighed, recalling her last 'group experience'; admittedly, she didn't do all that well even if she liked to think that she did, mostly because she had decided to go with acquaintances instead of with people she already knew, "I'm not sure who to go with... And I'm worried. But I'll be signing up, regardless... Got to ask a few people first."

She looked at Xiu and Amphi, "Just... Be careful? Any idea who you'll be grouped up with?"

So far a lot of students had made their way back out of the assembly. There were a few however that were sticking around, and Bul had nearly fallen asleep in the daydream of this series of trials coming up. His tail swayed curiously when he caught a few words being exchanged between his fight buddy and his... other fight buddy. Levi and West were some tough s**t. Bul made sure he caught up to the two before they dispersed, a little swagger in his step.

"My dear amigos," Bul spoke slyly, rocking on his heels. Clearly by the tone in his voice he wanted something. "You two are the toughest people I know here... what say we uh..."

He scratched the fuzz on his chin loudly and grinned with sharp, pointy teeth. "Take advantage of that and oh, I dunno... maybe make a team?" B)
