Rocket Agent Jerome

PostPosted: Sat Jan 28, 2012 8:25 pm

Jerome glanced over when the group started to make some progressing, having been standing out of sight, leaning on one of the beams as he waited.
There was a slight hold up as Lore seemed to notice something in the wall, but it didn't keep their attention for too long.

Jerome slipped out of sight for a time. but when he showed up again, he was half hanging upside down from the rafters, just barely next to the strut that another display was tied too. He was careful not to touch those and risk disturbing the display.
The ceiling monster's dark eyes found the ground and the group standing by the display they were stealing from.
"Don't think we could just make a break for it, eh?"

Bro smirked at Xander, taking the cigarette back from him and placing it back between his teeth as he poofed from view again, winging at Shawn with a chuckle.

"That's not a bad idea," Hayes muttered. He sounded distracted for a moment, then looked at the other Rockets. "Anyone got something that weighs.. 'bout a pound?"

Izaya might have seemed odd occasionally, and she'd certainly seen the animosity between him and Frost, but he still had always seemed nice enough whenever Tambrey met him; and Celty was always adorable- she was grateful that Pygi had a friend beyond her own pokemon and, given Palu's general attitude toward the type, rather glad that Pygi was friends with a ghost.
"Well. I'd think that was fair enough." She decided and told Shawn "A favour for a favour..."

Ooh, the ghosts succeeded in disabling the beams; that was good. It seemed like the whole mission was going ri-
Hidden tiny sensor.
The grunt frowned. Moreso as Lore said he didn't expect to see such a thing in a museum. Was the sky plate /that/ valuable? Enough to warrant beyond convent- wait. She remembered the briefing.
"If this is the alternate security... Maybe they have an alternate way of policing the place..? Um, we have pokemon that can create illusions, go invisible- they'd sense others like that right?"
The horror movie was wandering back into her brain again, but now it was time to think about how to grab what they came for.
"Um, like Agent Aulus, I could... maybe get my Spinarak to make a grab..." But that probably wasn't a safe bet to let Neph out of her ball right now "But I think it'd be better to use one of the other ideas..."
And now Aulus was referencing Indiana Jones.
She couldn't help but vaguely smirk as she wondered if the alternate security methods might include rolling boulders; they were in a museum, maybe they were taking cues from the, fictional, archaeology.

"Uh... well... Paul weighs nearly a pound," Aulus said slowly, dropping his hand to the Spinarak's pokeball, "but if anyone else has and ideas?..." He would really rather not. Really, really rather not. "Hey!" he brightened up suddenly. "There's plenty of crap in the storage cupboard, right? Somebody send a pokemon back for something."

"Oh. You seem to know a lot about him for someone you call secretive," Shadow noted, grinning at the cigarette Xander held for the ghost-type. "Nickname, huh? So then, you two must be pretty tight. Er...except that I guess I've noticed he seems to like giving everyone nicknames. I've just never known anyone to give him one back."

When Lore brought it to their attention they there was another, hidden sensor, Shadow cursed under his breath. They were doomed! All that hard work for nothing...? And yet...no one was coming. Yet. Odd. Everything was too quiet. Maybe they were waiting to ambush them until they found out what they had come to get. Too bad he didn't have a psychic like Xander had suggested. That would have been a great idea.

"s**t! Don't scare me like that!" the grunt yelped when Jerome hung upside down from the rafters. He still had nightmares about vampire zubats, and a man hanging from the ceiling wasn't helping his subconscious imagination much, he suspected. Shadow grumbled and rolled his eyes as the Gengar winked at him before vanishing. Stupid ghost...

"That's all the way back downstairs," Hayes commented somewhat absently. He was looking around, eyes narrowed with thought. "But something like a water bottle, or a book.." There weren't many things to pick up in a museum except. "Or some of the exhibit brochu-" - and someone yelped.

"Hey," Hayes warned quietly, glancing towards Shawn at the outburst.

Asch thought for a moment and looked around, before his gaze fell on a trashcan. "There might be something in there..." he remarked before walking over to it and removing the top to dig through the contents. It appeared that the janitorial staff hadn't emptied this one before closing.

Eventually he pulled out an empty glass juice bottle that likely came from a vending machine or the gift shop.

"Will this work?"

Jerome blinked once when his appearance seemed to startle one of the younger Rockets in the group.
He couldn't help a small grin at the reaction though, and the swearing.
"I'll try and give warmin' next time."
He promised, pulling himself back upright and into a more comfortable crouch, hand holding onto the beam between his feet. watching as the red haired Agent offered a bottle to the blond four eyes Elite.

Aulus nodded to Asch's suggestion, relieved that it looked like Paul would be spared weight duty. "If it's not heavy enough, a water type could fill it up more?" he suggested, dropping his hand away from his pokeballs gratefully.

"But he - ugh. Sorry," the kid whispered to Hayes, feeling guilty and frustrated with himself at the same time. Seeing that Asch had found a likely solution to their problem, he turned to Jerome and playfully shoved him with a stern face.

"Very funny. It's just that we're all on edge here, yeah? Sorry if I'm not used to huge, dark men hanging down from ceilings at night in a creepy museum with cold sweat dripping down my neck." He stopped. "Hey...weren't you on that training thing with Elite Agent Nyx?"

Tambrey tucked her bag a little tighter against herself as Hayes mentioned using a book. Nope. She might want the Sky Plate, but she hadn't finished this book yet. If there was -nothing- else... maybe. Possibly. The book stayed in her bag for now though.

Ah, that was better- Asch had found a bottle.
She nodded in agreement at the idea of filling it from a water type pokemon.
Much better than 'use a book'.

Fill it with water? That could be done. He didn't see any water fountains nearby, so it would have to be from a Pokemon. Taking off one of his pokeballs, Asch released the occupant inside and bent down. What appeared was an ornately decorated Vaporeon.

"I need you to fill this with water," he told her quietly, removing the cap from the bottle and holding it out towards Vahy'n.

When Vahy'n was released, she took a few seconds to glance around, looking a little surprised to see where they were. it looked like a museum.
Large yellow eyes blinked, looking around at the other humans in the group before her attention was caught by Asch, asking her to kill up a bottle.

Vahy'n looked at the bottle, then up at him with a soft frown on her face.
She didn't know what this was for, but considering what they might be doing, she was sure she didn't like it.

Still, throwing a fit, or refusing would probably be worse for her right now.
That didn't mean she didn't give Asch a disappointing look as she did as he asked, and let some water pore gently from her mouth, into the bottle.

Lore answered Shawn's question about his thieving abilities en route to the main chamber, "If encouraging you guys to do some creative thinking is just cause, then absolutely." He smirked.

The Exec seemed content to stand by while the Rockets discussed the best method of swapping out the Sky Plate. His look of concern faded as piece by piece a plan fell together. This really was a good team.

"I think we're in business, folks." He gave Asch a thumbs up as the bottle was filled, "Let's see some invisi-Zoroark swapping and get the heck outta here. Beer and pizza's on me back at HQ."
