Ah yes, the ever-present Julio charisma. If that wasn't reason enough to put Gabby in a good mood, she didn't know what was! "Charming as always, aren't you, Julio?" she chuckled. Julio was a stark contrast to Jamisson as far as she was concerned. A gentleman with a way with words who wasn't too bad on the eyes either. Yeah, she can definitely see why Heidi would have gotten all flustered. "Kid here's Seth," she introduced, "Seth, meet the man with the honeyed-tongue, Julio."
Speaking of stark contrasts, Jamisson finally got back. "No luck?" she smirked.

[ ENTERING ]
He thought that the best idea was to get something in him before walking into what was probably a deadly mission. The food was never great, but it smacked of home. He entered the cafeteria with an entirely stoic expression, but he spotted a couple of familiar faces, and he grinned.
Not a bad last meal, right?
Adam moved to sneak up rather than yell from the door and noticed some discarded silverware on the floor. He leaned down and studied it... a fork? Was someone missing a fork? Messy bastards. His grin turning sinister, he wandered up behind Cliff and smacked him over the head with it, broad side out.

"You're a good man," Lyanna told Dominic, saluting him with a fry and promptly biting it viciously. There was nothing dainty or feminine about the girl's appetite, but there wasn't much dainty or feminine about her at all.
"It's something serious," she interrupted, swiping another fry through some ketchup. "Why else would so many of us be here at once? I was taken off a mission to be sent here. It's probably going to be big, serious, and dangerous." Either it was a trick of the light, or anticipation lurked in her gaze. She wasn't stupid enough to be excited and happy about something that undoubtedly spelled disaster, but she welcomed the challenge.
Perhaps she was stupid.

Aiden hadn't paid much mind when Melynda left. However, the yelling did garner his attention, eyes scanning the scene anxiously. If it got out of hand, he'd step in. However, Melly seemed to back off just in time, watching as she returned disheartened. "Not a problem." He responded with a slow blink of his eyes. Aiden wasn't keen on having such a vulgar fellow join them either, honestly. Less problems the better. It was his standard to be courteous and show respect to others as best he could. "Nothing important." He answered with a shrug, fussing with his food some more. Despite how hungry his stomach was, his heart just wasn't into it. He'd seen far too much death lately. "Enjoying your time back here at Dues?"

Blowing some smoke away from the group, Julio grinned to Gabby and nodded. "Some things never change," he chuckled before turning his attention to the one she introduced him to. Smiling amiably to him, he nodded in greeting, "Ah, pleasure to meet you, Seth." Glancing up to see Jamisson once more, he gave him a wave but then turned back to the other two. "Quite a mission we seem to have before us, no? I don't think I've seen so many of us on the island at once!"

"Honeyed tongue? Really?" The death hunter stopped beside Julio as they reached the table. "Sorry about that back there, figured the kid would know something. Johnathan didn't give you any trouble?"
He glanced back to Gabby and Seth again. "Nothing, and that girl Heidi is still an a** kisser like always even if she is good enough at her job to deserve the position she wants."
Eventually he moved to his seat again relaxing a bit, "By the way, Julio right? The boy took his apology I'm guessing? I heard Liam's kid finally hit the big one. He should at least have one drink before this mission. You know, just in case we all end up horribly dead or what ever poor miserable fate awaits some of us." He paused though getting more serious.
"With this many hunters it's either something big, or some kind of research break through. I haven't seen this many hunters ever in one place. Not even here and this is the home base." He reached over to his drink sniffing, still spiked, Gabby hadn't swiped it before sipping. "Honestly I'd prefer something Research related, even telling us we all get our own creepy little Hellion weapon over a mission this big," he licked his lips eying the room, "A mission this big means more people and more people means more mistakes, and that ends with dead bodies on our side..."

/I am not curious, I am not curious, I am not curious,/ Isaac tried to persuade himself. /You're curious,/ Kyanos replied. Isaac put his head in his hands, and exhaled a long, suffering sigh through his nose. He knew he'd ask later, when he wasn't surrounded by new faces. "I don't know you," was his muffled reply to Cliff. "I don't know any of you." And that one seemed addressed to Lucas as well. /Did he put your fork back? I want some,/ again came the voice in Isaac's head, and with a roll of his eyes he sat up straight again, inspecting his plate. "I'm not sure I like where this discussion went," but he grinned as he took a huge forkful of meatloaf and stuffed it in his mouth- ketchup and all. He was going in for another oversized bite when Adam had appeared in the corner of his eye and smacked Cliff with the back end of a fork. Immediately Isaac burst into laughter, as if this was just the best thing that had happened all night.

ovo And just like that with Mya's abrupt departure, Zoey went back to being quiet and nibbling on her food. Much like Isaac, she was quite easily led on, though she had to wonder why triplets of all things . . . Maybe guys liked that sort of stuff, she didn't know. Sometimes it was hard to decide when Cliff was involved.
She was about to try and pry "Excaliber" out when someone whapped Cliff's face with another fork. The Death Hunter proceeded to nearly choke on her lettuce with laughter as Isaac's guffawing triggered it.
Oh God, she was probably going to die of laughter, literally, if she wasn't careful.

Amy nodded at everyone in turn as they gave their names, waved to Mya as she left, and gave a questioning look at one girl who didn't offer a name. Amy didn't press the issue- she'd met quite a few in her time who didn't do the "friendly" thing. Besides, Isaac and Cliff also noticed, and decided to pester her a bit. Again, Amy found herself chuckling at their antics. Well, that and the rest of the conversation. Boys. She turned to face Lucas as he spoke to her. "Busy," she replied, "but not too bad." She quickly rolled up a sleeve to expose a bandaged arm. "Could always be worse. I've haven't had nearly as much time for fun as some folks, it seems." Was that a teasing look in her eye? Perhaps. Amy was a big believer in letting folks have their fun. No one lives forever, after all. It was about then that someone came up and hit Isaac with a fork. Amy couldn't help but laugh, out loud. Damn. Since when had a meal been so much fun? ((I think I quoted the whole table. Maybe. xD ))

Melly shrugged at the question, swallowing her current bite of food before answering. "Well, I just got here, so who knows! But the food is definitely better than where I was. I mean, there wasn't even a good sushi place or anything!" This was a tragedy, in her mind. She'd grown up near Dallas, so being in the middle of nowhere with no fast food, sushi, or malls was something akin to torture. Not that she'd had much chance to visit any of those kinds of places in the past year and more. But still!! Once she'd started taking missions, she had hoped that somehow, she'd get to have a little bit of fun here and there. Sigh. Tilting head, she noticed that Aiden wasn't really eating much. "Was the food better where you were?"

Aiden's mouth pulled up somewhat in the form of a smirk. "Oh how awful." He mused. The lack of luxuries had long since been the least of Aiden's worries. Still, the mention of sushi sure had his mouth watering. He couldn't remember a time before Dues anymore. He'd always been so busy and focused on work, it didn't occur to him there was much else to life. The young man shook his head, scratching his chin scruff lightly. "Ah, no. There wasn't much time to eat where I was. Most of it went moldy by the time we were called away.. I should eat.. Just um.. the hunger is here, but not the appetite." He answered while scanning his food. "I'll just have to force myself to eat. You never know when you'll be without." And he'd need his strength for the mission too.

((Proxy posting for Huni Pi!)) "I dunno, I think your lines have gotten smoother and less cheesy. To my ears at least. And you do know what I use as a point of reference," she laughed good-naturedly.
When Julio confirmed his own lack of information on the mission, Gabby began to feel antsy. "Yeah, haven't seen this many at one time. Not since orientation, actually. Been a real long while since then," Gabby sighed, suddenly feeling like she aged thirty years at the memory. "I don't like how mum everyone is about the details. Usually we'd have gotten some info by now," She growled, her glare boring holes into her food.
Jamisson's own moment of sharing had the female Mist Hunter setting hard eyes at the scarred older man, not liking the way he was talking about Heidi. "Don't go there, Wiz," she warned, "Not everyone has a winning personality like yours and not everyone just plows through things the way you do. Other people prefer to take a much more civilized route."
Sometimes, the Death Hunter's attitude was enough to drive her to drink. If it weren't for the fact alcohol wreaked havoc on her system she might already be as hard a drinker as he was. "Wiz's got a point though, more people in the dark with no clear direction? Got a bad feeling about the outcome."

"I am," Julio confirmed as he was asked his name, "And aah, Heidi's a good girl. Quite nice if you get to know her. She's just.. been so focused on the job. Personally I think she could ease up a little more." Shrugging a bit as he said that, he shot Gabby a glance with a glint in his eyes. "Yes, no doubt this mission will be a big one. But.. whatever happens, happens. If that means death, then hopefully it'll be a good one. Just gotta live it up before then," he commented. As usual, he kept a light attitude about it all. There was little reason in his mind to get overtly worried.

"There was less during mine. Not as big of a group came in, I was before you wasn't I Gabby? I think I remember seeing you arrive with those load of scrubs back then." He chuckled softly sipping his drink remember, he didn't need to feel thirty remembering, he was thirty, to him? It was more like yesterday that he saw the group marched in.
Slowly he looked down at her his face twisting his frown showing, "Just being a realist Gabby. You know how I am about that." Slowly his drink tipped back emptying into his mouth licking his lips to get the last of the taste. "You know you love my dry wit, charm, and rugged appearance."
Now he focused on Julio "She stays focused Julio, it's that or a mistake, and that would cost her more then a chance to get a promotion." Slowly he looked down, listening to what Julio was implying.
"Julio if you don't mind I need to have a word with Gabby back at the dorms." He turned towards her waving, "C'mon Princess, lets see if we can get some more answers alright? I think Liam was supposed to be there earlier or something and I have something for you at my room." With that he was off and heading to the door hands stuffed in his pockets.

"Hey there." He leaned down to grin at the new intrusion. "Let's be friendly." He seemed to disregard the fact that the mist hunter was in the midst of eating, or assumed that he could multitask by eating and talking, by continuing their conversation. "I'm Profe. Who are the two of you?"
