Vanessa gave another nod to Wilson, shifting to look to the woman, Cass (Was it?), as she spoke of perhaps keeping to smaller groups. "That's alright. If the teams are more effective that way, I see no reason to argue against it." Vanessa nodded to Wilson, noting that she would go with him in the group split. She was a lot more sympathetic on the whole 'Weapon-giving-you-a-headache' point too.
When Wilson invited another girl over, someone from her division, she gave a nod. After Wilson introduced her to the girl, Victoria, she said, "Nice to meet you, Tori."
Vanessa simply let Wilson pick out who else to invite. The Death Hunter was a lot more, ah, friendly than herself, so she had no intentions to take over calling people over. Plus, he seemed to know more people that she did. She gave a nod when he smiled apologetically in herself and Tori's direction. "I have no issues with them joining. Strength in numbers and all that?" She said, nodding to the two trainees, one life and one sun, that Wilson had called out to.

"You guys mind a final hatchling?" The moon hunter spoke up walking towards the group of four with a hesitant, but trying, smile. She recognized Kat and Ryan, but the other two were new to her. Still, knowing at least two faces was more than she could have ever asked for. She had been late to the party, much to Takerus own growling mumbles. She chose to stay off to the side mostly, watching. Only once a lot of the teams had been formed had she moved in and tried to find a group as well. "Names Ceres." And then it seemed all eyes were on Gale... would he know what was going on?

"No idea," murmured Gale to Davey, shaking his head. "I've not gotten any sort of information yet - none of us have."
A voice beside him made him turn his head, a young woman he'd never seen before stepping up. She cast a hesitant smile towards Ryan and Kat, but it was clear that she did not know very many of them.
"Of course," said Gale easily, nodding. "You're welcome to join us. My name is Gale, and this is Davey. I think you might already know Kat and Ryan?"

"You're more or less in order now," Aria commented dryly from where she stood, shrugging. "In the future I recommend hastening, but as it is now you have the luxury of time."
She raised her voice higher. "We have reports of unknown assailants in the wilderness part of the Deus Ex island. Under normal circumstances, we would simply dispatch a team to take care of them. However, I decided to make this a little more... interesting."
The mist hunter lead paused as she reached into her pocket, pulling out a wad of money. "Each group is now on their own. First group to successfully identify, capture, and contain their prey will each receive an additional one thousand dollars to spend on either themselves or for late Christmas gifts. In addition, they will be excused from all duties for two days."
The money was held up so that those in the back of the room could see before she tucked it back into her pocket. "The catch? I will not tell you what you are looking for. Nor will I or anyone else tell you how to capture it. Nor will you receive a cell or cage to keep the creature in. That is up to you."
Aria held up a hand. "The first step in a mission like this is to research. Once you have identified the target, you may begin work preparing everything else. Because this is your first time, you have five days to prepare yourselves before being tasked with the actual capture."
"Take the time to research, build, expand, and train yourselves for combat. This is a capture mission. Killing the target is an automatic failure."
"You may now begin," Aria announced. "I suggest you head to the library first, or wait for the assistant to arrive..."

There was a loud thump, before a strange Hunter, wearing an apron out of all things ran into the door, paused for a second, and then took the open doorway.
"Sorry I'm late!" Julie called out, waving a little too enthusiastically at Aria before standing a little next to the Mist Hunter leader. "Michael said he was too busy and told Sandy to tell Sarah to tell me to help you with this mission." She paused as she scanned the trainees, beaming widely at them as if they were going to go out Christmas shopping instead of on a serious mission. "I got debriefed on the way though, no worries."

THE OOC:Welcome to Part 2 of your mission! This part of the mission will focus on the different divisions of Hunters and their specialties. Please read the information carefully! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. At this stage, Aria has given the Hunters several days to do several things: research, build a containment unit, prepare to care for, and prepare to hunt... something. Every group has a different target. Every group must meet a specific quota. HOW THIS WORKS:Once every 24 hours, please roll 8d8. That's eight 8-sided dice. These dice will represent the eight hours of preparation your hunter dedicates to the current mission. Quote: Roll Results:1-3: Failed. No progress. 4-5: Some progress! +1 pt 6-7: Moderate progress! +3 pts 8: Lots of progress! +5 pts 9-10: BREAKTHROUGH! +10 pts SAYS YOU! If a Hunter does a task for their division, they will receive a +2 bonus to their roll. ie, if a Life Hunter does Life-work and rolls a 6, their result is 8. MIST HUNTERS: +1 bonus to all work, as Mists are jacks of all trades, masters of none. So I just roll 8d8?Yes, once every 24-hours. Please keep track of your totals as well! There's no roof over it, but it'll do in a pinch. 75: You've improved the cage to where it looks just like a standard issue portable one. Now if only you could figure out how to Fear-proof it... 100: Through building the cage, you are confident in your ability to subdue the creature if it attempts to break free. Moon Hunters receive a bonus of +2 to their roll when doing this sort of work! Life Division: PREP-WORK[b][color=green]PREP-WORK:[/color][/b] # pts So you've captured and housed the creature... you do know you need to take care of it, right? At least it won't starve -- you think. 50: You've managed to rig up some electricity to what your group has built of the cage. Shockingly effective. 75: You've managed to Fear-proof the cage! The creature's not going anywhere anytime soon. 100: Through hard work, you've managed to prepare a suitable "habitat" of sorts for the specimen to the point where you're quite sure you can learn additional valuable information about it... When you roll for a new day, include the old score in your post. At the very end, please quote ALL five days and total the end score. 2) Your group MUST have a combined research total of 50pts before you can begin rolling for drills/building/prep-work. Failure to do so will result in rolls being void. 3) Everyone in the group MUST put 25pts into drill. Otherwise your character will not know what to do! (( One full IRL day has passed! Let's say the combined total of Sunny's Group for RESEARCH was 63. Since they passed the 50 requirement, Sunny is free to do something else! I'd like to have Sunny work on the DRILLS: for four IC hours, then go and assist the Moon Hunter with BUILDING: for the other four hours. To do that, I'd roll the dice as normal: 5, 3, 5, 6, 2, 6, 4, 6. Quote: Roll Results:1-3: Failed. A capture mission! Sweet! They were even in their own little squads to do this. It was almost like in some movie or game. Deryk was rather excited about this, yes. Though, he soon frowned as Aria mentioned they wouldn't be told what they were looking for. Well... that made things a little tricky. He looked over at the others for a moment. "Well then. Suppose we should go ahead and get started. Yes?" he asked, "Wouldn't mind getting those bonuses.. Gotta give it our all. Will be in library. Need to start figuring this out. ASAP."That said, he got up and headed on off. It was kind of like with trying to find the security loopholes in programs, what they were doing here. It would take some time, but he was determined that he'd be able to find something in the very least. His start was a little shaky, as he sifted through the books. It was weird searching through books rather than on the internet, but he made due regardless. But as time went on, he was making rather steady progress. "Hey guys. Got an idea," he told anyone that was in the library with him. He had a pretty good lead on what they needed to find. The blonde enthusiastically told the rest what his gut feeling was about this. Harrison had never had good grades. He tried, dammit, but he was in and out of ISS so often there was no way. You don't get second chances when you're on your hundredth. He was not bookish, although he'd always liked horror stories, just because it cheapened and normalized some of the weird s**t he ran into. The library was chock full of that stuff, some of which he recognized, and after getting some help from B0nez with the stacking system he hunkered down to help Eva with the research. For a teacher, Jerry seemed distracted and about ready to bounce off the walls. He kept looking longingly out the window. Harrison figured he would rather be blasting dummies in the training yard, but they had to know what they were fighting before they could train for it. Candace highlighted and surfed through editorials and compendiums like a champion. She already had her own system, and seeing her settle in was like watching someone put on a comfortable pair of old boots. Reine seemed to keep pace with him, and was good company, although he kept getting the nagging feeling that he knew her from somewhere. Maybe the trials. Harrison didn't talk much, trying to focus, but the work was slow. B0nez had a better scope of how to find something, especially on the web, but got bored quickly and kept encouraging Harrison to steal information from the other groups. Both of them wanted the extra thousand. By the end of the day, Harrison was ready to drop. Research? She could do that just fine. Heading to the library with the rest, Reine immediately went around the shelves, pulling books out. The stack of books she had amassed by the time she was done was.. probably bigger than herself, and she didn't look forward to having to put them back...
Time practically flew as she buried herself in her research, occasionally looking up to compare notes with Candace and Harrison. Jerry, on the other hand, could barely sit still- not that she could blame him, this was pretty tedious work.
Still, they'd gotten quite a lot done. Enough? Maybe.. maybe not. It was something, at least.

Aria had had Candace's attention just by being in the room speaking, and being her division leader. She needed this. She needed her own leader, not 'borrowing' other divisions. Yes, Candace loved playing around with H but he was not her leader. She despised Caelius with every fiber of her being. The Moon Hunter wasn't around, the Sun Hunter wasn't around. She had no one to really turn to. Aria was back? For real? Please oh please? She wanted proper training so badly! But her attention peaked at the incentive of money. Candace was a greedy little thing, but having more money meant..more she could spend on her boys. Her boys deserved the best, she had already decided she didn't need anything for Christmas during her talk with H. She was content with whatever she ended up getting. But there was no way Candace would turn down another grand. ******** no. But hey. Research. Candace's eyes seemed to widen as a slow grin crept across her lips. She could research the hell out of this. Or she could get distracted with Jerry picking flowers. That worked too. No! No way. That was not going to happen. The flowers were nice though, they were placed carefully on a safe part of the table before she scoot her chair closer to him and lent him her iPod, just humming to herself as a substitute to having music to listen to. Harrison and Reine was great helps, of course. When she'd seemed to finally hit a break through she'd squealed to them about it and shown them. They were going to get this damn thing. To Aria, this was all a game, it seemed. Cass wasn't sure she agreed, nor was the extra incentive all that great..well actually, the two days off sounded kind of nice, but still..she would probably have spent it all sleeping.. mmm, sleeping.

Jerry was ready to do this. He was SO READY. Except when the pile of books was planted in front of him. Alright, so he had wanted to be a teacher... that did not mean he was good at studying. It wasn't very long before he had fallen asleep at his desk before Harrison had to poke him awake. After an hour or so, his eyes had drifted to the window, feeling stifled and hot inside, and was hit by the severe need to go outside and play. He had excused himself, claiming to be going for a bathroom break before someone had to fetch him and drag him back inside from his wild-flower picking. Candace had given him a stern talking to, but had acquiesced when he had announced they were for HER. Apparently lending him her ipod with appropriate montage music helped him considerably to hunker down for the last while, half actually studying, and half singing along.
