Hester Peche Vellick Hester Peche Vellick Well guys, here's what I used for my audition, and I personally kinda like it, but let's see what you can do. smile  I like it and the avatar you currently have. It works very well. Though Past might argue that you should have shoes. It's the same avi Hester. razz I'm wearing it cause I like it too. smile And it's funny you should say that, cause she did say something about shoes in her PM to me. xD I have shoes too, they're just typical black dress shoes, so shoes are no big deal either. smile Well perfect then! whee So should I put on the shoes, or just post in the official thread ?_?

Yep, just one Enchanted Book.
I thought we could use the tattered dresses in there.
I also like the jumbo mouse ears better than rat ears
'cause there's no obvious headband.
I had this idea. The Rat Queen, being more homespun looking rather than tattered and threadbare. The rats are more of the indigenous/aboriginal people of the Land of Sweets. So they take on a more native look. Something similar to the Sami people, maybe.

Yep! Reindeer herders are way up in my book.
Here are two in similar themes:
The Rat Queen's kingdom has seen better days,
made obvious by her worn finery. The Crown is her only jewelry.
The Rat Queen's people make weave and embroider their own clothing.
Colorful patterns are traditional.
Her only crown is a wreath of evergreens.
(I wish the hair didn't hide the ears.)
Also, I have no problem changing hair and eyes for the Ball.
EDIT:
Hair like this works nicely with the outfit.
It could be any color, too.

I do one every year as well! biggrin Scandinavian culture is pretty awesome, the food can be questionable sometimes, but otherwise awesome. I'm a 4th/5th generation Californian, but I stay in touch with my roots because I'm more directly Swedish/Finnish than anything else. So if you'd like to talk about sometime I'd love that. whee
