I think Kakashi said it right in one of the last manga chapters.... Naruto's the only one that can do it. I'm not particularly fond of naruto but sheer power is on his side. Plus- he's the most stubborn person I've seen. If he can learn to control that power without it hurting him or killing him or him being reckless - then he'll be the strongest.
At the moment, I wouldn't know who the strongest is as not really anybody has been pushed to their real breaking point after all this training and preperation. We will have to see.

S a k u inuchia gaara beat Rock Lee so i wouldn't say him..Ororchimaru! Are you insane.. Rock lee is twice as fast/strong then gaara.. He was just tried and worn out.. If he had more stamina.. like.. He would be un touchable. i agree with S a k u

ummmm has nobody read the chapter with 4 tailed naruto he PWNS all!!!!!! Orochimaru is sooooo lucky he didnt die and jiraya got his a** handed to him.....
