Karuta was actually dumbfounded when Ryou said she didn't owe him anything. B-but that's... he helped me twice... for no reason... and I only know his name and that he's a keyblade wielder... Why should he help me in the first place?... I... Don't I owe him?... Her thoughts continued to swarm her confused mind until she saw the heartless retreating, which just made things even more confusing. "H-hang on... did we win or something?..." she mumbled out loud, looking around. Oogie WAS retreating along with the heartless, which meant Vykeife would be left alone soon enough...

Vykeife got nailed in the face with the knee and disarmed by the swing of Ryou's keyblade, but he hadn't realized that he had left himself open. Vykeife charged his lightning a little. Good, I still got some Magick left He thought as he charged up the dark lightning again, only much more powerful this time and attempted to grab Ryou's leg. Vykeife smiled at the thought of Leaving his opponent maimed and temporarily partially paralyzed at the end of the battle.
Jack struggled to get, but he couldn't seem to manage to. Even as he tried, his keyblade disappeared. He was left wide open for the slaughter, but, nothing came. I mean, a few heartless trampled over him as they retreated, but he had no idea that was what they were doing. Jack still continued to struggle to stand up, but he still couldn't get his head more than a couple inches off of the ground.

Ryou tried jumping back, only to feel a grip on his leg, and lightning rushing through his body soon after. After the first few bolts arced through his body, he vanished, reappearing a few meters away kneeling on the ground and using Oblivion for support. The lightning Vykeife had used on him was visible, sparking around his body from the attack, and he was panting heavily, having taken quite a bit of damage.

"coward..." Sho mumbled to him self while trying to catch his breath and watching Oogie and his heartless retreat,with a sigh he glanced around again then walked over to Jack "I think we won..." he said and offered him his hand to get up if he could at all.

Vykeife picked bent over and picked up his guns after Ryou jumped away. He charged his Dark Lightning once more and launched it at him. "Think of it as a going away present" Vykeife sound to him. Vykeife put his guns in their holsters and started running. He was the last one through, and closed it after himself.
Jack extended his hand to Sho's and pulled himself up. His jacket and shirt were in pieces, barely remaining on his body at all. His back was torn up, and it felt like he had broken a few ribs when he got smacked by Oogie. He gripped the left side of his body with his right hand, and stayed slightly hunched over, to keep the pain from getting too strong.

Karuta watched Vykeife fire one more Dark Lightning attack at Ryou. She bit her lip and sliced her keyblade through the open air towards Ryou. A Clubs of Courage barrier form around him, the black clubs taking the lightning and redirecting it to the ground, the lightning now useless. The clubs then vanished while Karuta watched Vykeife retreat before she walked over to Ryou's side and holding a hand out to help him up.

Ryou took the offered hand, standing shakily to his feet, the black aura disappearing. Dark energy lanced into him originating from Oblivion, and then vanished, the Keyblade itself being dismissed.

"I told you that I don't like being helped... but that doesn't mean I won't help others..." Karuta said quietly, letting go of Ryou's hand once he was stable on his own feet. Her Keyblade glinted slightly before disappearing like Oblivion.

Without a word, Ryou turned and started to walk, pretty much aimlessly. The way he shambled around showed just how much damage he had taken but he kept walking.

Karuta watched Ryou walking off, only to sigh when she could clearly see how much damage he had taken. With another sigh, she trotted off after him until she had caught up to him, then simply walked by his side, though she kept quiet for now.

"But you stayed and fought when you could have run. Now what reason is there for that? Who here matters enough to you that you fight? You could have just left me here after we got here." he replied.

Karuta was quiet for a bit before shrugging with a sigh. "You helped me... so I owe you... which means you matter..." She glanced down and shook her head. "I don't like owing people, but whether I need to owe them or not, if they help me, then I'm in their debt. It's how my life is played, like a game of cards..."
