Arc began to shift from his wolf form, the cracking, he tried to control by slowing down is morphing. It worked for a while as he growled very low deep in his throat.
Arc dripped water when he finished his change, he peered over the couch back, the poor thing had to have a fever. He placed a cool hand on the forehead. He was burning up and called a maid to take care of him as he went into the bathroom to shower.

Jake woke up when he felt something on his forehead. He would have opened his eyes, but he found himself unable to. For some reason, he felt weaker than usual, and he felt suddenly hot or cold, or a little of both. Not thinking much of it, he tried to go back to sleep.

Arc tapped away on his laptop, drinking a glass of sweet tea and munching on oniigiri. He looked up every now and then, watching the maid take care of Jake. Other than that, he had finished the next four weeks of homework.

At one point, Jake really did open his eyes, but only slightly. As much as he wanted to know what was going on and why someone seemed to be nursing him to health, he said nothing and once again tried to shrug it off, but now it was bothering him.
Attempting to sit up, Jake opened his mouth to speak, but he was gently pushed back down by the maid who was taking care of him. "Don't move now," she told him. "You must rest."

Arc shut his computer off and placed it on the table, stood up ans stretched with a massive yawn. He left Jake in the care of the maid, he didn't want any part in that boy life, such as careing for him.

Jake watched Arc leave, a sharp tug stinging his heart as he did. It bothered him that the person he once admired as a brother did not even spare him a second glance. 'What did I do that makes him so annoyed at me?' he would wonder time and time again, but he could not think of any answer to his question.

Arc was indeed bored again when a maid aproached him with his swim trunks, a towel and suggesting that he go soak in the hot tub. He took the offer and walked onto the covered terrace walk to the little gazeebo that had the hot tub.
He sank into the water.

A little while later, Jake had made a decision. At some point, he had to ask Arc why he disliked him so much. Perhaps knowing the cause would allow the servant to try to make whatever amends he could make. Surely Arc could not hate him forever.

'Surely, I can trade him for one of his sisters. Then he'd be out of my sight.' Arc leand his head against a head rest, kicking his feet up on the empty seat across from himself. All the pictures were stained with that angel in them. Even if he asked, all Arc had to do was spend almost his whole time away from him.

Jake soon began to lose heart when he tried thinking of any possible way to get Arc to smile at him at least once. The man probably hated him far too much to even bother listen to him. To even think of asking him about anything was just plain useless, and even Jake was sure of it.
He put a hand to his aching heart and curled up, feeling the feathers on his wings begin to drop again. Why did the thought of Arc never really acknowledging him hurt so much?

Arc glanced at a maid who brought him some tea to sip on, leaving him the pitchur as well, he told her to go get Jake's contract. He needed to look it over, see if there were any hidden deals in them. But he knew his father to be a clean person, no under the table deals and upfront generations. His father was honest.

With a heavy heart, Jake eventually fell asleep. Perhaps Arc was going to wake him up later, or he would just leave the servant alone. It didn't matter anyway. Everything would just stay the same, with hardly a chance of change.
Soon after he slept, he became haunted by nightmares. The servant imagined himself running, chasing, after a huge truck that was accelerating further and further away from him. He could hear his wings flapping behind him, trying to get him to fly, but they were too small, too damaged. In vain, he tried to chase the truck, which emitted the heartbroken voices of his family.
This was his greatest of fears, something he had hoped would never appear in his dreams again. They were leaving him behind, this time it was forever.

"Damn it." He slapped the contract on the hot tub rim. "I'm stuck with him." He growled, not really caring that his wolf side wanted to come out. "The contract says infineity. Till one of us dies. It was supposed to end when my fathers passing came and gone but he had to put him in the will, to hand him over to me." He splashed water out of the hot tub, useing his arm as a giant arc, he slapped it and it sprayed out.
Now he had more a reason to hate the angel, the one who he made to take up residency in his room, to make it easier to punish. "Rather he's sick or not. He isn't going to slip by."

Jake's dream self continued to chase after his family, only to trip and witness in horror as he saw only a cloud of dust being left behind by the moving truck. When he woke up, there was a large spot of tears on the couch he laid on, which was reaching the book he had been reading before. Curling up into a smaller ball, he let out a series of sobs, almost afraid that his nightmare would come true one day.

He called a maid after he had clamed down and told her to take the contract back to the study safe, only a few trusted and loyal in the house knew the safe combination, Jake wasn't and will never be able to know the numbers.
The eye sore and thorn in his side was now even more a problem to him.
