Jerry tried his very best to look very serious for this very serious discussion and pretend he wasn't wearing tights and a pink corset.
"These creatures are insane." He explained, very flatly with only the most minor of nervous twitch.

It was kind of entertaining to watch all of the Hunters become so indecisive. It was only one choice, one that didn’t even need to have that much meaning put into it. As they continued to chatter amongst themselves, Diece crossed his legs and cupped his face with one hand, his sharp nails poking against his cheeks. Fortunately they chose to let the final decision upon the shoulders of one lad who looked considerably young. He perked an eyebrow at that.
It appeared that the boy had settled between two of the girls who had arrived earlier, but to his amusement he pressed the tip of his gun to his cage. By now, his fury had simmered and he only kept an inquiring gaze on Gale. “I’m afraid I can’t find the logic in your decision, but if you insist.” He hid his panic and fear behind a menacing snarl and matching beam, revealing rows upon rows of razor sharp teeth, just like a shark’s. Diece stretched out his free hand, fletching his fingers and rolling his wrist. “It’s getting quite cramped in this cage. I could certainly use some more room.”
He was brash, but he wasn’t completely stupid. Diece had seen the fates of the last two, and his would be the same. An unfamiliar sensation clung to his heart. What was that? Oh right, this was fear. The vampire had always thought himself immune to fear. He did stupid things. He did impulsive things. He did them all without fear of the consequences, but now this was the end. Diece forced himself to keep smiling as he gnashed his teeth together and readied himself for the cage to open.
He was so scared, but like hell he was going to die looking like a wimp. He would go down with a ******** bang and bite them all.
P.S. He was not insane. You're all insane. ಠ益ಠ

Lois' eyes grew wide as the choice was made. It wasn't one of the new ones, one of the ones she had had no connection to. It was one of the ones who had been here with her all along. The one who had in a vague way attempted to comforted her. "What's your name?" She questioned, not attempting to keep her voice quiet at the moment, as the creatures outside of the cages were already focused in on them. "I can't promise how long it will be, but I will remember you."
Honestly? She hoped he got his wish. That he got some room to move about and at least hurt one of their captors in the process. Plus, and this thought made her slightly ill to her stomach, maybe she would get a few ideas of how she could hope to fight back when her own time came, as she was pretty certain now that it would come to that.

At Princess Peach's question, Clarice choked a bit and began staring very hard at her monitor, doing her best to look extremely studious and downright busy. With Science. She didn't bother adding any opinions on the matter, it was all the same in the end anyways. Well...there was the increasing chance for excruciatingly painful failure with each transformation, due to their limited power supply... But regardless, Cael liked his games, and she remembered being on the trainee end of them too many times to stick her neck out by helping this bunch along. Eventually they'd either figure themselves out or break down, but for now...

She heard them. Lattice heard them all but as of yet she had nothing to say until one stopped in front of her cage and she felt his eyes upon her as if looking her over and she just tilted her head back and uttered a soft giggle as if the gaze alone caused her amusement she quietly edged closer as he talked and leaned her face near the electrified bars but didn't touch them she whispered hoarsely, "Let me etch my pain into your skin."
This sent her into another fit of giggles as she leaned away her body leaned pressing the palms of her hands against the bottom of her cage. Her mask fell away now useless.
Then she spoke much louder,"I have enough pain for everyone. Come get in line! Do not be shy!" Laughter erupted out of her as a curtain of hair fell forward hiding her face from view at the moment.
Lattice wasn't herself anymore. Her mind was filled with screaming endless screaming.

((Entering from Hunter Group 2!))Candace had stayed outside for most of the discussion. She needed air. She needed a moment alone. She just...needed to recollect herself. What had happened in their last room had been shameful, the way she had collapsed into a pathetic pile of cries and whimpers and tears after nearly being tickled to death had her completely disgusted with her own behavior. She couldn't face them, not dressed like goddamn Mario and covered in bandages. Candace had been praising Harrison and Jerry, saying she had the best team..but that was them. She wgodas praising them. You're being far too hard on yourself. Personally I think you're doing quite well for what you're capable of. Atropos said in an attempt to calm her wielder's nerves. Candace growled. It wasn't enough. She had to be the best, she had to be top of her class at everything she did. Failing even slightly was not an option. Candace, you're just a trainee. You can't expect--"Stop it, Atropos. You don't understand." Candace muttered, pulling the ridiculous red cap on her head lower over her face. She had been ready to stand out here until her team was ready to leave again whens he heard a metallic clang and a raised voice. The voice was familiar, but the volume of said voice was not. Candace blinked, turning on her heel and pushing aside the flap of the tent and stepping in. She didn't care how ridiculous she looked right now, Jerry was angry. Why was he angry? ...Seriously, Jerry. It's hard to take you seriously wearing a pink corset and tights. Candace whistled quietly to herself as she looked around. So many people were here now. But what really got her attention was a string of giggles that made her skin crawl and raised goosebumps along her arms. She gave the laughing girl with the needles in her arms a look, wincing at first at the needles until she spoke again..louder now. And that laugh. Candace grinned. "I like this one. She's feisty, isn't she?" Candace chuckled, stepping closer to the cage while leaving a safe enough distance between her and it. "When did we get more of these things? I don't remember seeing these four earlier." They didn't look all that impressive. Pink hair, school girl uniforms, one of them looked almost normal. But this one with the needles...she seemed to spark a certain bit of nostalgia in Candace's heart. She put her hands on her knees and regarded her like one would an adorable puppy on display in a pet store. "Awwwww lookit you. Aren't you just precious in your little uniform. You look in dire need of medical attention and a hair tie, though."

"Brant where the hell..." Dr. H entered the tent with a swift, impatient stride, "... there you are. Was it really too much to ask, one little ghost? Candace, my ripe little plum, please do find a change of clothes less profoundly stupid...your teammates too, my god. This is a mission, not a convention. Now Mr. Brant, not exactly asking you risk life and limb, was I? What, so well- armed as you are? Because if a task is simply beyond your diminished reach, just tell me. I've been thinking of taking up one of their innovations and keeping a spare parts bin for the labs, and while slightly lacking, I'm sure your...ah, what is it Clarice?" The assistant held up the belt with the two traps attached, each of which emitting a slight glow. "...ooooOOOoo...well, well, Mr. Brant. My heroic army-of-one, well done. Clarice, didn't he do well? I should have known you would be motivated to ah...exceed the organizations decidedly low expectations for you." He unhooked one of the boxes, "Clarice, fetch me the holding tank, I want to see if these creatures can be compromised in a manner beneficial to our cause." The doctor attached one of the traps to the tank, there was a harsh sucking sound, and then a boo popped into the tank. "Doesn't look like much, does it..." He repeated the process for the secondtrap as well. Once done, he turned to face Davey again, stared for a moment and then asked, "This is the best you could do?" Not waiting for an answer he returned his attention to the tank, "While I'm busy with these, please do mind the rabble, hm? Keep them from breaking anything or escaping, understand?" Apparently the rabble consisted of both the captives and other trainees. The doctor hit a button and a metal prod extended and poked each of the boos in turn. "Oh, interesting....Clarice, help me test their elasticity." The two continue on in their corner for quite some time, not quite torturing the poor boos, but being extremely irritating all the same.

Davey's eyebrows flew up as Tika revealed her nationality and Gale's. "Huh. Sorry, then." He still couldn't tell much difference between her accent and American one, but he understood that it was much like mistaking the Irish for the Scots - they took it personally. Gale got a raised fist in his direction. If Davey had been closer, he would have totally brofisted. "For Queen and Country, mate."
The hunter in the corset and heels, Davey was about to dismiss. If that idiot thought Davey had been sticking up for the monsters, rather than telling people to get out if they couldn't handle a little torture, then Davey wasn't going to do anything except feel sorry for the poor fool. Until, of course, Jerry went and mentioned the forbidden topic.
"How, exactly, did you lose that arm, kid?"
Toxic-green eyes narrowed. Davey's head swung in Jerry's direction. His top lip curled, teeth showing in a cross between a sneer and a snarl. 'Kid'? Davey had spent the last several years of his life fighting in warzones, while this guy looked like he'd never set foot outside of a library. That alone would have been enough to get Davey's temper going.
But, oh no, that wasn't enough. The guy had to mention the arm.
"My arm?" he snarled. Drawing himself up to his full six foot plus height, he began advancing on the unfortunate Jerry. "What happened to my arm!?"
Jerry might eventually get the full story... but not today. Dr. H's grand entrance, and immediate call for Davey, had Davey halting in his tracks. His breath escaped in a hiss and Davey jerked his head towards the doctor. "He did." Not that Davey held a huge grudge over it, but Davey had a legitimate reason to not be completely enamoured of the Hunters, either. Jerry might see the Hunters are some miraculous saviours, but to Davey they were human and fallible. Still his bosses, but they got the respect their ranks deserved, nothing more.
Even as Davey tried to repress a pained expression at the doctor's immediate jibes, he still managed to shoot Jerry a death glare behind the doctor's back. It was not over. But there was little that could compete with the impotent rage that Dr. H inspired.
Davey let himself be distracted by eyeing what was happening with the ghosts. He toyed with the idea of giving a warning of what those particular ghosts were like, but decided to just enjoy the show, instead.
... While also keeping one eye on the captives and the other trainees. Davey wandered back over to Gale, even though his eyes kept darting back to the boos. "Any reason for picking that one?" he asked. He was mildly curious, though not about to protest the choice. As the others had pointed out, sooner or later the same fate would befall all the captives.

Glen almost jumped out of his skin as the tiara was tossed at him by Jerry, snarling in surprised annoyance. "Watch where yer tossin' yer flouncy hats ya ********' big bender" he barked, irritated at being taken off guard completely and trying to cover it with a mask of bravado.
He did rather like the in-fighting and bickering that seemed to be going on, maybe they'd start killing each other and they could get out of here.
Probably not though.
He could only look on as the boos were placed into the tank, not sure /what/ was going on, but for the time being a little more relaxed that it wouldn't be him.
As the discussion of Davey's arm came up, he was still feeling a little brave and stated irritably "He's probably just the reason why ye don't wave oot train windaes"

"Hey Dr. H..." Bix usually wasn't forward with their superior but the audacity of their prisoners was starting to get annoying. "I think we decided on this one." He pointed to the cage that Gale picked out.
"But I think this one's volunteering as well. Are you sure you don't need two?" Bix pointed his bow at the cage where the scottish sounding weirdo had decided to throw in his two cents.
"I think he volunteered.. I can't tell with that weird accent." Bix smirked at the monster.

Leonard was not that hard to actually irritate. The poor boo had had a life's revelation, that he could feel pain too, before he was captured. Now being prodded was just a continual reminder of that fact. He attempted to dodge the prods, though not always successful, and was also getting exceedingly irritated at the other boos in his way.
Well, if someone had to feel pain, he'd rather one of the others get it over it. Then he could help them end the pain. Yes, that was a good idea. Now while he tried to dodge the prods he actively sought to bump the other boos toward it, not in the least caring about sacrificing his own.

Glen was taken by surprise by actually being noticed, he was used to people snubbing his outbursts along with all the other complaints of the caged captives, so he was suddenly MUCH less brave as he was pointed out, and probably would have apologised out of reflex if not for the slight on his accent.
"Weird accent?! Ah talk plain auld Inglish. Mibbeh ye need tae cleen oot yer ears ya bam."

Bix squinted a bit into the cage. "You got like weeds growing in your hair dude." The albino hunter tapped his own head as if he were translating for someone foreign.
"LEAVES OR SOMETHING.. IN YOUR HAIR." He started to talk loud as if the monster was deaf instead of just having a strange accent.
Bix turned back to the other hunters and frowned. "Poor thing.. doesn't even speak our language."

Bix had found Glen's serious weakness. Normally he was friendly but the moment his accent came into it, the gloves were off. There was nothing worse for him than having his words disreguarded. He practically /roared/ with anger and leapt at the bars, taking a full body zap of electricity that sent him reeling, panting with pain as he was winded by ********' COWARD, ye widnae be sayin' any of that if ye were in here. Ah'd give ye a skelp across yer broken lugs tae make sure ye heard me." he coughed with a frown at his own physical weakness, his powers long supressed. "And its seaweed ya daft basturt, shame ah can't introduce ye tae the real thing and the bottom of a loch along with it, see how ye breathe."

Lizzy was glad that Lattice did not hold anything against her - however, it did not stop that feeling of guilt she felt, intensifying by the minute and making her shoulders feel heavy. In fact, she was not entirely convinced by Lattice's words; she knew how the ghoul felt about her sister! The thought that they might be trapped in this cage forever, away from family and friends, made her chest ache and caused it to be hard to breathe.
She could only imagine the pain Lattice must be going through now.
When the hooded figure - who seemed like the one in charge, or at least one of the ones in charge - walked in, she had to stop herself from doing or saying anything reckless; there was no real use in riling anyone up... She could only hope and pray for rescue, and for nobody else to end up in a cage; as much as she missed her friends, she did not want to see them right now.
She didn't want to, but plain curiosity made her raise her gaze enough to see one of the prisoners being dragged out of her cage - even from where she was, she could see that the poor ghoul's will had been broken. From there, she was tossed into another containment unit, one that looked like a cylinder, and... This was when Lizzy regretted being curious.
The distortion of the poor ghoul looked extremely painful, and she imagined the bloodcurdling screams that must be escaping from her lips right now - how frightened and utterly helpless she must feel! The thought made her throw up a little in her mouth as she watched, too horrified to avert her gaze from the sight; she was thankful for how noisy the machine was... If she could hear her scream, Lizzy knew that she would be unable to take it.
Even right now, her heart was threatening to burst with a mixture of anger, fright and helplessness.
When the process was completed, and their captors showed signs of fascination and delight, she couldn't help tearing up a little, her sharp nails digging into her skin and she tried to contain her own frustration; how could they not see the suffering? The pain? How could they stand there and watch as another being was tortured? These people were monsters - and she did not mean it in a nice way.
The hooded figure's next words made her turn pale; an experiment? That was what these people treated them as? Mere test subjects? Lab scrags?
She could feel her FEAR being drained, suppressed, and it took all her efforts to not show her discomfort. It was the same on that foggy island - if she wasn't sure that these people were from the same organization, she was clear on it now.
She held her breath as they started to openly discuss who they should pick, making it sound like a morbid game - the responsibility of picking was pushed from one to the other, before they decided to let the boil they had previously took down pick - she wasn't sure if she should be relieved that he decided not to pick one of her friends; if she was this affected by the loss of the life of a stranger, no doubt seeing a friend going through the same would kill her.
Figuratively or otherwise.
She did not respond immediately when the boil passed her cage and threw her a comment; he was not worth it. None of them were... She could cry and scream and wail, but they obviously have no heart to feel with, so wrapped up in their own little world... After a moment's pause, she dared to look up, her eyes filled with sadness, her voice soft. She didn't even really care if anyone could hear her or not - she just wanted it off her chest, which felt even heavier than before.
"I am glad to know that none of you would do the same, if you were in our shoes," She wiped her tears off using the back of her hand, "I mean, not attacking just one person in order to take that person down when you see that a friend had been taken out by that person? That takes a lot of self-control... Very honorable."
