xxxxxL watched in silence as Y stepped out of the room and turned toward the exit, and an odd feeling of longing washed over him. A part of him wanted to chase after her and convince her to let him accompany her, but another part of him wished to stay with Naminè.

xxxxxConfused L lifted his finger up to his lips and nibbled on the skin as he tried to understand his own mind. L had never had feelings like this before, and to have them for two completely different types of people was odd.

xxxxxSilently he tried to contemplate the reasoning behind his new found affection for the girls, but didn't get very far. He enjoyed Y's determination, her sense of justice, and the extreme likeness. Y was a female version of L, and even he could admit she had the ability to surpass him at times. Then there was Naminè. She saved his life... technically, more like gave him a chance to be reborn. Although, unlike Y Naminè didn't seem to care about reputations. She did what she had to do, be it seen as good or evil. Normally this would disgust L, but for some reason he found Naminè intriguing, The two of them had symbiotically lived together for a rather long time, and he had grown to understand Naminè's actions, and was almost able to see himself reacting in the same way she did... almost.

xxxxxFrustrated L sighed, and stood up to stretch before relaying Y's words to Naminè. Quietly he approached her, his eyes grazing over her figure.

xxxxx"How am I supposed to choose between the two of you?" L whispered, his body leaning over Naminè. "Ah, who am I kidding. For all I know the two of you think the thought of me..." L softly caressed Naminè's hand and Naminè began to waken from her stupor. "Like this..."

xxxxxL quickly took a step back, his heart racing.

xxxxxWhat the hell am I thinking. L thought to himself, a low grunt escaping his lips. I am L Lawliet, I do not succumb to childish temptation.

xxxxx"Everyone falls sometimes L," Naminè whispered. L's thoughts were loud, as i he were screaming and made it overtly easy for Naminè to hear them. "Are you doubting your humanity?" Naminè sat up and smirked at L and his face turned bright red.

xxxxx"Naminè, I didn't know you were awake..." L said frantically. "What all did you hear?"

xxxxxNaminè giggled lightly, and shook her head. "What all did you think?" Naminè looked down and noticed a soft pale red aura fading on the length of her hand. "What all did you do?"

xxxxxL's eyes bugged out, and he jumped back as Naminè stood to get closer to him and eventually she ran him into the wall. Quickly L blurted out the new plan, and Naminè froze.

xxxxx"G-go inside?" Naminè stuttered and took a step back, forgetting all about L's previous statements. "Wh-what if there is someone or... something still there?" Fear pulsed fluidly through Naminè's veins as she imagined all the possibilities, and L did his best to relax her. Though it was difficult after the previous conversation. L was nowhere near ready to take a step too far.

xxxxx"We can do this," L whispered soothingly. Naminè gazed up at L and after a short time gave him a quick nod before beckoning him to follow her.

xxxxxThey bought an extra disguise and left the store, and when they got half way to Light's former home the quickly scrapped their clothes and jumped into their newest disguise before continuing on down the road.

xxxxxNaminè's heart steadily began to race with each step, and when they reached the side of the house Naminè could hardly hear L's voice over the rushing of her blood.

xxxxx"I'm going to run around the back," L suggested, but Naminè shook her head furiously.

xxxxx"I'll go. There's a whole just big enough for me to fit through on the corner of the fence, and I don't need you hoping over it and causing too much suspicion." Naminè waved him away, and quickly slipped through the opening before L could say otherwise.

xxxxxSilently Naminè side stepped through the yard, sticking to the minimal shadows the yard had to offer before taking her first step onto the porch and freezing when she saw a dark haired man standing inside and staring out the front window. He stood stalk still for a time, but eventually took in a deep breathe and took a step towards the front door. Naminè's breath caught in her throat as she imagined L being caught staring at the house.

xxxxxL was slouching against a fence on the other side of the street near a bus stop with several other people around him when he saw the man exit the house, and confusion almost caused him to step forward for a closer look. Of course, L choose otherwise and silently glanced through the part in his pale yellow wig.


xxxxxThe man appeared to have long red hair tied off with a white ribbon and a white Japanese style shirt with black bindings. His skin was a very pale peach, and his face was as callous and uncaring as the winter air in mid December. He took his time walking slowly down the street, his hands resting in his pockets, and his body slouched in an aloof sort of manner.

xxxxxThen it hit him, Naminè was still trying to get into the house if not already within. L had to warn her that there may be a possibility of others within the taunting walls of his former adversaries old residence.

xxxxxL looked carefully from side to side, and when he saw no sign of the red haired man he dashed for the home on the other side without thinking. Thankfully Naminè had opened the door just as L was about to start banging on it. It was too difficult to think straight with this sort of worry.

xxxxx"Seriously L, Relax. No one else is here, but us." Naminè giggled lightly and patted her head. "Aura sensor."

xxxxxL chuckled darkly under his breath and quickly stepped inside and closed the door behind himself. The two gazed at each other for a moment, but turned away in search of any evidence they may find.

xxxxx"You don't think that the guy sent Matsuda with someone else in order to trick us into coming here do you?" Naminè whispered after a few minutes of scouring the floors and couch cushions.

xxxxx"Now why would I do that?"

xxxxxMatsuda waited on Sakura street in silence, mentally beating himself to death as he waited for Y to show up at the meeting place. He was nervous enough as it was with the man sitting in the back with a loaded gun pointed at his head, but when Y realized he was there she would probably murder them both.

xxxxxHe sighed impatiently and the man thunked him on the head with the butt of the gun. "Where is she dammit?"

xxxxx"Ow!" Matsuda grunted. "Hell if I know. She's probably got a disguise on or something. There's no way I could pick her out of the crowd when she's harder to pinpoint than L himself. That woman can be sneakier than the plague."

xxxxx"Well you better hope for your sake she shows up," The man cackled darkly. "Boss said not to kill you, but I've got a craving for blood..."

xxxxxMatsuda's eyes flickered back and forth quickly, and they fell upon a girl with a pair of sunglasses and hat seemingly waiting for someone. It could be her, but even if it was did he really want Y to have to deal with the hole Matsuda had dug himself into? He knew that Y was quick witted like L had been, but Matsuda hadn't planned on L and Y getting involved with Naminè after she brought L back...

xxxxxThe man behind L slapped the gun against the side of Matsuda's head and Matsuda cringed. This guy was extremely impatient, and by the looks of it Matsuda wasn't far from passing out from all the blunt hits to his skull.

xxxxx"She's out there isn't she?" The thug asked, leaning forward to look out at the crowd. His eyes scanned right past Y, and then back over her again. Matsuda held his breath, but he knew the man behind him was too idiotic to see the fact that the girl was blatantly staring down their car. "Where ever she is go and get her. I'm sick of waiting!"

xxxxxMatsuda cringed again, expecting another thump on the head, but the man was silent. Slowly Matsuda glanced behind himself and just barely glanced at the man behind him. He appeared to be asleep, and a dirty looking syringe stuck out for the indent in his inner arm. Matsuda breathed in and let out a soft whistle, gradually increasing volume as to see if the man would wake. When he didn't Matsuda sighed and slowly pushed on the gas and parked next to the girl, and quickly got out and softly closed the door.

xxxxx"Is that you miss?" Matsuda whispered nervously, his eyes darting back and forth between the girl and the figure of the man in the back. He left out her name intentionally.

xxxxxL and Naminè gazed blankly at the tall red-haired man standing before them. His mannerism was relaxed and cool as he looked the two intruders once over.

xxxxx"Wasn't expecting for you to walk right in, but here you are." The man's eyes lingered on Naminè's lips, and slowly rose to her face. "I simply forgot my phone." As he spoke a small phone on a shelf rang. Without looking away, he reached out and pulled it off the shelf and flipped the lid open before putting it to his ear.

xxxxx"Hello?" The man's voice was smooth and savory, very unlike the voice that L, Y, and Naminè had heard before.

xxxxxNaminè wavered slightly, the man before her was so familiar and distinct, but for some reason his name eluded her as it danced just out of her reach in the distant.

xxxxxL, Can you hear me? Naminè sent her thoughts off to him, praying that his sense of awareness was acute enough to sense her thoughts even though she was being careful to hide them at the same time. Something inside her told her to be cautious around this man.

xxxxxJust barely, I imagine you are being cautious? Does this man seem sensory adept to you? L did his best not to squirm, but the thought of Naminè acting cautiously on a mental level made him extremely nervous. It took him a while before he was sure that he could mentally speak without shouting.

xxxxxNaminè held back a smirk when the message was recieved. L was getting stronger, it did take him a while to mentally tone done the audio level of his thoughts but this was an advanced ability that most humans could never accomplish even with intense training.

xxxxxHe has a rather strong violet aura, which means his mental ability is powerful for a normal person. Naminè silently appreciated his abilities, but instantly felt guilty. This wasn't the time to be complimenting her enemy. We must practice extreme caution while he is near.

Matsuda's P.O.V.

Matsuda held back a laugh as Y shouted at the man in the back seat. The stupid thug was so doped up on drugs that he never even moved a muscle, but now wasn't the time for laughter. When Y was done shouting at him she grabbed hold of him, and off the went down twisting alleys and around any corner that came up.

Eventually Y stopped and gave Matsuda clothes to wear, female ones, but Matsuda was in no place to argue. He was feeling stupid enough as it was for falling for the cheap tricks of the criminal world.

"I'm sure you know that I stole pages from Naminè's fathers journal," Matsuda began, pausing here and there to force his way into the tight girly clothes. He took a deep breath, and quickly continued on. Y was just outside the dressing room, but she could hear him and would kill him if he didn't hurry up and spill. "A few weeks ago a man approached me at the station claiming that there was a way to bring people back to life, and I foolishly became entranced by his words. He promised to bring Sayu Yagami back to life, and I feel for his lies."

Naminè's P.O.V.

The red haired man listened in a collected silence, and when the phone call came to a close he swiftly dropped it to the floor and smashed it with his foot. Naminè watched him carefully, everything about him that she noticed contradicted another part of him. She was so indefinitely intrigued that she didn't even notice the new arrivals coming up from behind, and could hardly hear L's pleas for her to pay attention. Her eyes were stuck to him like glue, and when he stood up from smashing the phone there eyes met and Naminè could feel him caressing her mind. She knew he wanted in, but could she keep him out?

It wasn't until Naminè heard a swift thud that she realized L was in trouble. Quickly she turned around to see if L was okay, but the man behind her wrap his cool hand tightly around her wrist and pulled her into him. She could hear his heart slowly thumping, and feel the warmth of his breath on her neck. Naminè grew dizzy quickly, and watched in horror as L fought off the intruders. He was amazingly quick, and very talented at what he did but Naminè worried nonetheless. Especially since the man behind her was slowly edging away from the others, and then all was dark. Naminè couldn't tell if she had been knocked unconscious or if she had been taken into a dark room. All she knew was that she was now alone, L is alone, Y is alone.

"Tell me your name would you darling," The man breathed, wakening Naminè from her thoughts. "We can trade..." He was silent for a moment then, but continued. "You know you want to know me. I could feel you thinking of me only hours ago. Don't you wish you knew the name that eluded you so?" His voice grew... nervous was it... Naminè could hardly tell, the man's voice was well masked by his aloof temperament.

"A-are you K-kaoru?" Naminè stuttered, her voice giving away her fear. The two of them were already moving at an extremely quick pace, and she was panting as it was. The path seemed to never and, and so did the darkness.

"Tell me your name first?" The man suggested, there was no sound in his voice that gave away whether he was indeed the man Naminè was hunting for. "Please...?" He breathed into her ear before trailing his hands up her arms and towards her eyes, softly he rested them just over her eyelids. Naminè took in a sharp breath, and her heart raced. This was him. This was the man who plagued her dreams, and chastised her thoughts.

"You're not him. I know it now." Naminè breathed, a small smile turning up at the edges of her lips.

"Never was."

L Lawliet's P.O.V.

L could hear heavy footsteps approaching and tried to alert Namine, but she didn't respond. He tried to make it a little louder, but her eyes never left the man's in front of her. Without thinking L's body turned quickly and his leg shot up to meet the face of one of the men who had entered causing him to fall back on his back.

The other men stopped dumbfounded and looked past L for a mere second before all moving forward together. Quickly L turned to look after Namine, but she was already gone and several other people were crowding the room.

"Dammit," L cursed under his breath before knocking two other men into the others and running through the door and down the street. He ducked behind a alley way and hid in the shadows until the shouting ended. He then turned and continued down the road in hopes of running into Y.

What just happened? L thought miserable as he imagined what could happen to Namine if they found out who she was...

Kyomo smiled "ya many times. whats it to ya? Im here for pizza, now is someone payin for this thing or not. Its freezing at least let me in, it was a long drive. If this was another prank I swear." he mumbled a bit. Being around Y for a while let him learn a couple things on code words. He wasn't to sure who this scronny guy who opened the door was but he realized he was asking a coded question. Eiither yes he was in disguise, or as an alibi he's been to a couple masquerades so whats the probleme. HE walked in not waiting for an answer and started to bust some doors down "hey! you damn kids this is the tenth time this week! stop telling me to come here with food! its all being deducted rom my damn paycheck." his smile widened a bit 'man I am ssoooo in character right now.' he thought.

Y's eyes widened with fear. she tossed a phone to Matsuda "anything happens emergency number 2." she ran off immediatly in what ever she had. "L" she whispered. she only ran faster. 'Light?!? they have Lights body?!? wasn't he shot??? they could have healed him. damit. damit damit..' her thoughts started to slow down. She was about a block away from lights house. "I...will never..let" losing control of her breath she continued her thoughts 'let them bring him back. If light comes back. he might have all his memories of the death note. And to top it off he knows he's kira. But he doesn't have a death note. Why would he bring hiim back? does this guy plan to take over the world by using light as a subbordinant. idiot that wouldn't work, light would find a way to be the only god. In his world there is no room for partners. Idiot.' she was wheezing now "damit.....asthma....idiots...all of them." she said. This had been the furthest she's had to run in many years. being cooped up in hiding didn't give her much excersice. As she ran, she didn't pay attention to her own safetey. 'I just need to find them. They must be alive. If he comes back, we migt as well repeat everything. I-' she had to stop her thoughts to breath. She leaned on her knees and could see lights old house 'he always had the potential to be good. Light, and L. they were just two sides of the same coin.' she now sat down breathing heavily as air was forcing its way through a tight throat. 'I...could never decide....which was better, light when he was good....or L.....they both have many similarities that I can relate to. Its like red and blue. people will always associate one with good and one with evil. but at the same time, both primary colors hold a vibrant place. When a person asks what color I choose I can never decide.' she closed her eyes calming down but still wheezing 'that is why I am purple.....im hallucinating now. I cant let those colors clash. only one can be picked in the end...I need a puffer...' she stood up jogging to the door leaning on the railing and looking through she saw L immediatly right there followed by kyzomo in the background. and smiled. She was wheezing to hard to speak now but her smile answered that she was glad they were there. As she suspected namine was gone."they....want.....Namine.....Find...her...." she wanted to explain that she was fine and just had asthma, but was too out of breath to do so. She motioned for L to go find her fast. Thinking of a word that could get him to understand the severity of the situation. she sat down breathing a bit deeply to calm down he looked at him and said "..ki..ra.."

Y shot up from where she was sitting down, about to tell L to go with out her when he fell "Lawl-" she cut herself short "L...." still wheezing 'whats wrong???? Whats happnening??' it took a moment to get past a bit of shock and realize L was getting memories back, things she wished he had kept forgotten. "you....i....forgot...you..." she couldn't finish her sentences, she needed to breath otherwise she would pass out from lack of oxygen getting to her lungs 'I'm sorry I forgot, you forgot what happened to Light, and kira.' she thought. She sat down beside him eyes wide with fear, small tears rolling on the corners 'I'm sorry you have to remember him, as a friend. To remember how you died, to relive that horrible moment realizing that the person to end your life was your closest friend. Why did I have to go and screw things up again' she took a deep breath "L......Kyzomo!!" she was able to let out, and he ran over. she was scared, and not just like watching a horror movie. She was terrified, and showing it without hesitation. "L....base...2......n...matsuda.........market....."

kyzomo had been going through door by door to find Namine. As he ran over to hear her he nodded understanding, and picked up L. It wasn't hard for the bodyguard stereotype kyzomo to do. He rushed out back to a car different to the pizza van he came in and put L inside lying on the back seat. "L. Y wants you back at our headquarters, and matsuda too. she'll find Namine." he said to him, "car has sound proof windows let it all out, if you got pain, seems like it. we gotta get matsuda" He drove off quickly, getting to where Matsuda last was.

Y stood up leaning on the wall just a bit past the door, gasping for breath, unwanted small round tears rolling down her face 'im sorry, im so sorry.' she thought taking steps to one of the few closed doors in the house 'L I don't want you to feel pain anymore, all you ever did was what you wanted, there's no secret to it, you just wanted to get rid of your boredom, yet all you get is this consequences.' she opened the door to a darkened room 'all I want is the best for others, I can't stand it any longer, screw the past, i can't' she paused 'my head can't, my heart can't,' taking a breath "NAmine!!!.....who ever.....has you.....come out....now....you...b*****d....." she was breathing heavier "and....if you ....happen to.....have...a....puffer......I......wouldn't mind......bor...roww...-" she didn't finish the sentence 'I need one of those walker things, ya. in case something like this happens, I'm so used to staying in my own world and getting others to do what I ask.' she walked into the dark room now mumbling so anyone inside would only hear, but using less breath "I'm tired of all this nonsense, why not just tell me what you want damn it all. I don't even have anything to cover my face, I'm a sitting duck and you got both Namine, and the book pages yet you don't act, who ever this person is is not the same person who was here earlier. Or maybe it is, heh" she had a cynical smile on her face "kira disorder in a nut shell I guess, but even comparing you to kira is a disregardful act. hell, now I'm thinking out loud." she breathed in "I've gotten bored all ready, see this is why L only took on cases he was interested in. I should stop helping people....haven't I said that before" she sat down too tired to stand. Her body starting to give in. 'I would stay, I would take everyone's pain for my own. I can't deal with it anymore. I need to protect...' she kept thinking "My emotions are taking over too often lately, damn INFP is coming out again. So are you actually in here for starters? and will you come out, I'm obviously not going any where" she said hoping someone was actually there to listen.

When he first ran through Y immediatly said "Finally you bipolar idiot, did you realize why we need those pages now." she, interupted with he's words, stood up., limping over she took his hand and against her body's will began to run once again. "a phone..... would be nic/..e rig/ht n...]=ow. but we can get there,
from here.sd..." there were many odd slurrs and pauses in her voice. she was getting light headed, and her vision was blurring. 'damn....lucky number two...was so close.....' she ran for a good five minutes to a small average house that was only two blocks away. The car kyzomo had was there. Y ran in quickly closing the door and making sure everything was locked and no one followed. she was drowning for air at this point, but even then she quickly checked the man holding Namine's body. patting his cloths for guns, at this point him being bugged was so minor in her list it didn't matter, so weapons was all he needed to be free of, as far as she was concerned.

Kyzomo ran to the front holding a gun "oh its you. Who's the guy?"

"L NOW" she said almost viciously to him.

kyzomo jerked up and took yamamoto's hand and lead him to where he had L. In a small living room on a couch "I decided to leave matsuda. L seemed to be getting worse. we have some equipment if you need." he said thinking Namine needed medical care.

Y lay down on the floor gasping for air. the corner of her eye seeing kyzomo take the others off. 'he'd better save them. he'd better save them. other wise I swear I'll come back and haunt you' she was now beginning to thing yamamoto looked familiar. her eyelids became heavy. Y snickered 'im like a fish out of water.' her head was starting to pulse 'im losing it. hyperventilation, ill be unconscious, they're safe.' her mind started to go back to memories, back at wammy's. as a very young child, she always watched. others argue, and play, and laugh. Like it was a show all of it. just a big comedy to her. never playing a part, always watching others, and understanding every character, yet no one knew her. 'back then' "everything....was...happy....." 'now....I've just grown bored' she thought as her mind fell into darkness, unconscious.

Kyzomo had felt completely awkward and confused with what was happening. Watching the guy place down that lady, then kissing the two his jaw dropped almost in a comical fashion emotion_jawdrop . he stared at the two bodies. His jaw almost seemed to drop even more when they both woke up seeming unharmed, he glanced at the two dumbfounded when L sat up and was staring. Kyzomo followed his gaze to Y on the ground. Jumping up "@#$%!# dammit! umum umuh. What did she say to me if something like this happened. CPR! no. umum... gah! how am I suppose to redeem myself if my boss is dead."

Y sat up slowly and with a struggle. she was wheezing but her breath was controlled. She stood up. 'a bit of a nap was what I needed I guess, freaking out made me pass out.' she held her head to think and stood up. 'good thing I don't have a cat or something, that would really screw me up. Better get my puffer.' she thought. Then looked around drawers and stuff slowly walking along the floor, and noticed a cub-bard high up, she nodded thinking she would hide it where she couldn't see or reach. Grabbing a near by chair she stood on it and got the cub bard opened, seeing it empty, she closed it. then reached her hand up and over to the top of it, stand as high as she could with her toes. she grabbed hold of something and pulled it down. 'aha.' she looked at the containers, on orange one blue. jumping down the chair she looked to see L up, staring a while, she figured he was ok now. then went back to her puffers. Passing a still freaking out Kyzomo, she went to the tap and got a glass she filled it up and took two puffs of each then the glass. Glancing at the two containers again she realized how old they were, surprised a bit by how they worked still. she quickly glanced at the name 'Yianna' then ripping the outer part off the paper around both containers and crumpled them up. she took M insignia lighter and burnt them over a garbage can, they burned slowly due to the plastic surrounding the actual paper.

Kyzomo was still freaking out. As Y walked over to him a second time and poked his back "hey stop that you'll start freaking other people out." she said, then back to the kitchen getting a container, it was covered in dust so it was hard to tell what it was. then a spoon. She walked back over to where everyone else was as if nothing happened breathing normally. She wiped some dust off the container "I've always loved nutella, I think a mix of any chocolate with Hazelnuts are a master piece. Any one want any tea or something? We are a bit limited here, not much, it's an old place back a good ten or so years. Haven't used it since you know what." she opened the nutella and scooped a small spoon putting it in her mouth. Followed by an mmmmmm. "by the way there are some rules if your not staying here." she pointed at Yamamoto. "If you are to leave you MUST be chipped recording and tracking, no matter how loyal you seem I will take no chances with someone who has seen my face, two, no nutella for you. Just joking, two you are not permitted to take anything in this area out side, or take it without placing it back, three no magic stuff, excuse my lack in terminology, unless I permit it, four you are not allowed to be unguarded, preferably by Kyzomo here, and especially not by Namine, you two seem to have personal relations with one another, no guy kisses a girl with hesitation unless he likes her, or there are consequences. Finally you must listen to me, that doubles for life threatening situations. You want to stay no probleme, you want to leave the door is there, and you need a chip for a minimum 72 hours." she paused taking another nutella scoop, "as a human, thank you. As a hostage and potential Scapegoat, if you want to stay and protect Namine, we need answers. This is more about her than anyone else. And kira." her eyes widened and she forced her self not to strangle the man as she talked "Who's damned idiotic flipping idea was it to bring of all people him back. And the fact you adress him as kira and not light implies for the worse. If it were Light I would not be angry but Kira??! If that man's ideas are to use his knowledge to take over the world or perhaps bend his mind that wont flippin work damn idiot. Light is the only ruler in his world, others are the pawns, and he knows that anyone in his way must be taken down!" She slammed her hand on the seat she was sitting on "if he comes back there will be no playing with lives it will be the easiest and quickest tactics!" she gave Yamamoto a cold, and dark glare, "I need you to tell me everything, or perhaps everyone will die. This is scenario I do not need to take interest in, rather I must deal with, so whether you help me or not I will be trying to find the truth." she calmed down "Anyone else thinks this guy is familiar? Could Namine have her clothes back? My name Is Y nice to meet you." she went into formalities last "Oh kyzomo go get matsuda will you, he's dressed as a girl, you wont recognize him. He has phnoe 8 if you need to call him." she snickered unintentionally, and took another scoop of nutella placing the spoon in her mouth with a smile.

anything he says, all I need to do is analyse, watch.

kyzomo nodded and left running 'man is that why I couldn't find him???!' he thought rushing out and back to the last place matsuda was. DIaling his number he used bluetooth, and was going to act like a friend rather than someone going to rescue him from embarrassing. 'code language riiight, I am pretty sure matsuda is ahead of me in this kinda stuff so he should get what I say I think,' he thought as he drove.
