Landry's body was moving on instinct at this point, and he attempted to transfer directly into a spinning toe hold on Chrono after he evaded his pinfall attempt.

Landry gritted his teeth as he saw Chrono grab the ropes and the referee began to count. He wanted to hold on, he wanted to snap Chrono's knee like a twig, but he had no choice to let go. He turned around and cursed his luck, temporarily loosing focus.

After Landry let go of the hold, Chrono gritted his teeth and noticed an opening in Landry's movements and attempted to kick him in the knee with his uninjured leg.

Chrono staggered to get up, and used the ropes for balance as he attempted to grab Landry's legs and if successful attempt a very unorthodox move in his arsenal, the figure four leg lock!

With the figure four locked in, Chrono attempted to keep it locked in, in addition to demeaning Landry by taunting him with various insults, etc.

You could read the pain on Landry's blood-stained face as he writhed on the mat, pulling his hair and searching desperately for an escape from the crippling Figure Four. He couldn't tap, he refused to tap out, because the moment he patted his hand on the mat, he would be signing away his son's life. And so he endurred the pain, using all of his upper body strength to crawl, pulling Chrono and all his body weight with him so he could try and reach the ropes.

((We should probably write the ending as the ppv ends tomorrow.))
~timhaynie : If you have a planned ending then go ahead.
Edit: If you say so. I think Chrono's still in the hospital so I might as well.
Incredibly, Landry reached the ropes, seemingly saved himself, but the referee did nothing to break the hold, as everyone now realized that Chrono was under No Disqualification rules, which meant he could hold on to that submission as long as he wanted. But that wasn't Landry's plan. He intended to use the ropes to pull himself backwards out of the ring with both arms, pulling Chrono with him until ultimately they both fell tot he mat below, one onto of the other in a huddled mess causing Chrono to release the hold.
The fans clamoured to their feets, trying to cheer Landry back into the game. He was having a hard time standing with the combination of the harsh, draining match, the blood loss, and now the heavily damaging submission hold that he only recently escaped. Chrono was having a much easier time returning to a vertical base, though the strain of this match was draining him as well. Chrono grabbed Landry's head, applying the cravate so to telegraph his next move to the entire arena. He leaped up and executed the End of Time perfectly, spiking the back of Landry's head on the thinly padded mats below. Chrono intended on cashing in on the Falls Count Anywhere aspect of the match that only applied to him, but found it hard to crawl to the cover as his legs still hurt from Landry's earlier work on them. Finally he was able to drape a single arm over Landry's chest, and the referee slid to the outside to make the count.
"1...2...Thr..."NO!!!! The referee had to stop himself before he made a terrible mistake, as Mike had mustered just enough energy to kick out. The crowd was stunned, as was Chrono who was visibly furious at the result of the count. He dragged the referee to his feet and held him by his collar, lifting him off his feet and demanding to know how he could be so stupid. The referee cowared in his grasp, knowing he couldn't do anything about it and begged to be let go. Chrono sneered and tossed the referee aside, once again dragging the near lifeless body of Mike to his feet, bringing him into position for his killing blow. He had positioned himself so that the steel steps were behind him, and he intended to execute the End of Time once again so to spike Landry's head into the steel steps. Chrono went up once again, but Landry showed signs of life, pushing Chrono off of him mid flip and running forward, leaving Chrono to smash both of his knees into the unforgiving steel steps. The sound of the impact brought the audience to its feet once again and they cheered with all their might.
Landry knew he had one last shot or he'd black out and the match would be over, so he lifted Chrono to the apron and rolled him into the ring, the only place he could win. Sliding in after him, as did the referee, Mike lifted up both of Chrono's injured legs and crossed his right leg over his left, stepping over and applying his Figure of Perfection, much to the crowd's delight. However, everyone knew that Chrono Clepsydra has never submitted, and surely would never begin now with so much on the line. But Landry wasn't going to give up, he put every last ounce of his strength into the hold, working to break Chrono's knee and shin like a twig. He leaned on it with all his body weight, but eventually, the determined father began to waver on his feet, and as another drop of blood fell from his face, so did he to the mat, flat on his back with the hold still locked in. The crowd gasped as Landry passed out cold, leaving Chrono an opening. Chrono leaned up to try and untangle their legs, but it was no use. He simply placed a hand on Landry's chest to initiate a pinfall, but leaning up like that put extra torque and pressure on the hold and once again Chrono's legs were set ablaze by pain. Regardless, the referee leaned over to count the pin.
"ONE...TWO..." as the referee brought his hand to the mat to count the three, Chono did something no one thought he would, and that was tap the mat three times. "THREE!"
The referee was confused, but regardless he called for the bell. Who was the winner? The fans were confused, as was the referee. The video crew cued it up once again on the Titantron, showing everyone in the arena just what transpired. To everyone's amazement, Chrono Clepsydra had tapped out the exact moment that the referee counted three. He had no choice, and slid out of the ring to inform the announcer.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, Chrono Clepsydra tapped out at the same time Mike Landry was pinned. As a result, the referee has declared this match...A DRAW!"
The fans were upset, after seeing both men put everything on the line and in the end nothing was settled. Landry was still passed out and leaking blood, prompting the medics in the back to rush out and tend to him, sealing the wound with vasceline and gause before putthing him on a stretcher.
Chrono was furious, how could he show such weakness on the verge of victory? Phoenixfire was equally surprised, and no one knew just how exactly this affected the agreement they had made regarding the stipulation to the match. Everyone was left wondering: what would happen to Matthias?
