Annette sighed as she watched her daughter.
Caiden got ready for the ball, dressing on formal attire.

Molly felt nervous as she paced her room waiting to join the ball. The time has finally come, and she was a nervous wreck. Maybe i shouldnt go....She shook her head sitting on her bed. Why was she nervous though? What could she have to fear?

Molly opened the door a bit looking at her mom scared. "moma, i cant...I dont even know.." She choked sitting down at the mirrored desk. "I cant handle this thing.."

"Its okay Molly, your father and I are here. We're here for you and to support you." Annette smiled as she walked in and hugged her daughter.

She nodded and hugged her mother determined to go to this ball. She would not be shown as a coward to people. "Okay. I'm ready.." She bit her lip looking at herself before going out into the hallway.

Molly slowly went down the stairs her hand on the railing and kept her eyes ahead of her, even though silence and hushed whispers flowed through the room now. She felt all eyes and her and fought not to gag at the attention. She saw several ladies glare at her, some men giving her looks that she would have kicked them if she weren't wearing the dress. She felt one pair of eyes on her that made her look up at a dashing young man coming up to her. She noticed her smiled and was instantly aware it was something he rarely did. The young man bowed to her making her blush.
"Hello, miss," he said his voice smooth and rich. She blushed at him smiling. "My name is Marcus." She smiled at him and nodded. "Molly. Just molly." He gazed at her thoughtfully. "Well, only if you call me Marc." He laughed softly holding his arm for her and she took it letting him lead her around the ballroom.

Annette smiled watchimg her daughter as she danced with her husband.
Caiden was dancing witha princess when he saw Molly dancing with someome else, she looked happy but he felt a twang of jealously.

Molly smiled at Marc. She gotten to know so much about him in the last few minutes and noticed Caiden dancing and smiling at a princess. She watched feeling a burning sensation in the pit of her stomach but looked back to marc. He smiled at her taking her hand. "Something troubling you love?" She blushed and shook her head at him.

Caiden smiled as he dismissed the princess and just watched Molly, it seemed to him that she forgot about him. She sighed, she looked so beautiful and he wanted her all to himself, but she wouldn't like not having freedom to do what she wanted. He would give 3 months, if she remembered or began to love him, she would if she wished. She wanted to dance with her so badly, but she probably didn't want to.

Molly felt a shiver down her spine and stopped talking mid sentence. She stared at Mac, and watched as he frowned at her, something dark in his eyes. She swallowed hard and fought not to step back from him. What had brought this on? She felt eyes on her, and turned to see Caiden across the room. She smiled at Mac. "Sorry, but I must go." She hastily picked up her skirt and rushed over to Caiden putting her face against his chest and she fought not to tremble.

Caiden was a bit shocked that Molly ran to him, but wrapped his arms around her holding her closer “Are you okay, Molly?“ he asked as he kissed her cheek “He didn't hurt you or anything?“

She shook her head against his chest but kept her face hidden. She shivered in his arms whispering almost desperately, "take me away from here...please. I-I need to get away, please.." She sniffed holding back tears she knew were coming.

“Alright Molly, its okay“ Caiden rubbed her back tried to calm her as he picked her up bridal style, that Molly could still hide her face and it would be easier for him to walk. He carried her to the garden and set her down on a bench, he sat next to her putting his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close. With his other hand he grabbed a hankerchief out of his pocket and handed it to Molly. “What happened, Molly? You don't have to tell me if you don't want too.“
