((Staircase)) Jove had never been to a festival before. All the lights and sounds were new to him, with unfamiliar scents of fried food and confectionary floating through the crowds. Being jostled by the taller crowd was an ever-present threat, and one the pup was glad to be free of when he broke out towards the pink and shiny lights of the haunted house. His ears swivelled to listen to Ren behind him, and although he ignored the chastising, he nodded to say he would stay next to his brother. Most likely. Leading the way like any not-scared pup would, Jove puffed up and entered the unusually pink structure. His bravado carried him inside and right up the misty staircase. And then he had the poor luck of walking under a vent where sparkles suddenly poured out, raining down over him in a cloud of glittering flecks! It was enough to dampen his enthusiasm for the haunted house, and he took a step backwards to bump into the gryphon behind him.

[RANDOM EVENT: Staircase]Oblivious to the bedazzled plight of the students in the hallway far below them, the lucky Halloweeners that decided to take the staircase are nearly to the first landing! They can see it just up ahead and though it doesn't look particularly interesting, it marks a milestone in their climb.
It's never that easy, though.
As the first student steps onto the last stair before the landing, the whole staircase begins to wobble violently. When the students glance down behind them, they see that the stairs are.. flattening themselves into a flat surface. It starts at the bottom and begins to rise, giving the students only moments to try and climb the last few stairs and reach safety on the landing.
Those that don't make it are propelled to the bottom of the stairs-turned-slide, but instead of meeting the hard, fog-covered floor of the entrance room they are dumped into an enormous ball pit. All of the balls seem to be filled with a little bell that makes every movement send out a tinkling song, chiming non-stop as students thrash around. There's also a faint smell of.. fruit? Were these things scented?
Even that must feel like a relief though (opposed to potentially injuring themselves on a hard floor) and the students are free to make their way towards the edges, where they can simply crawl out. As soon as they begin to move, however, they realize that there is something else with them in the pit. It brushes their legs, tugs at their clothes, and all around them are quiet, secretive giggles among the sounds of bells. The longer the students are in the pit, the more prominent the presence gets, and all it takes is one disembodied voice from a speaker out of sight to let the students know that this isn't just fun and games.
"You should all get out of there before there's no getting out."- This is a random event for the students on the staircase only. You are not allowed to leave the Hallway to join the Staircase. Hallway characters may continue RPing and interacting with each other during this time.
This event will last until 3 AM EST. It works in two parts!
Part One: Escape the Staircase!
Roll one 10-sided die. Even means your character reaches the landing before they fall, Odd means your characters plummets into the ball pit.
If they roll even and escape, they may continue up the stairs or stare down helplessly at their companions. Your part is done and you may go back to RPing.
Part Two: Escape the Ball Pit! (ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO ROLL ODD IN PART ONE)
Roll one 10-sided die. Even means your character climbs successfully out of the ball pit, Odd means your character does not.
If you roll even, you are free to walk back up the staircase (which will be conveniently back in place) OR choose to go down the hallway instead. You may continue RPing once you are out, your part is over.
If you roll odd, your character is suddenly grabbed and pulled to the bottom of the ball pit. Your character will be out of commission and non-playable until the GM post at 3 AM EST.
Please edit your posts at the bottom to denote exactly what the outcome of your rolls are. For the first roll, edit in (Landing) or (Ball Pit). If you go to the ball pit, your second roll should be edited to say (Escaped) or (Caught).
Prizes will go to the biggest failures. |D

((Staircase)) As she climbed the stairs, poke looked up ahead to see a few other ghouls and boils, some which she had recognized from the open house. She grinned back at Mitsu whom had waved to her. "Hey! um, mitsu was it?" She looked behind her to see that she was also tagging along Shun again. It seemed she never wanted to leave the guys side. "And hello to you as well...ummm" She didn't remember him introducing himself, prefering to keep quiet and to just glare at everyone and everything. It was a wonder how the wolf ghoul seemed to hang around him with a face like that. This time she also noticed third ghoul White small ears and a white tail, although she hadn't seen her before. "Hey there!" She didn't want to be rude, so she waved to her as well. The dragon ghoul then took some time to look around at all the pink and fluffiness that was this place, and she was left feeling rather confused. It felt as if this place was trying to scare her...with cuteness. As she wondered how to react to all this, the stairs began to wobble underneath her feet, causing her to turn around and see that the stairs behind her were starting to flatten out into some sort of slide, At the end..a ball pit? "Jack, jack! move guys move, MOVE!" Regardless of weather she could see anything wrong with it, it probably was something she should try to avoid. Since she was the last, she tried to run up the stairs and to get the others in front of her to move as well.

Seeing the other ghoul reach out, Xiu quickly took her hand and clung back, grinning at her nervously. "W-would it really be okay?" She asked, seeming relieved by the offer. It would be a lot more comforting to be with Mitsu and Shun, that was for certain. So long as they didn't mind, then she would definitely tag along. And who was this with them? Raising a hand, Xiu meekly waved back, to the dragon ghoul, a small smile spreading over her face. "U-um, hi there--"
--wait a minute, what was happening to the staircase?
Emitting an alarmed yelp, Xiu turned around to find that the stairs seemed to be collapsing down on themselves, turning into what was basically one giant slide. She jerked back around to face the lupine and reaper, eyes wide. "Uh, guys? I think we should run!"
Unfortunately, it seemed the stairs had changed quite quickly as--without warning--the stairs that Xiu had been standing on a moment ago had suddenly flattened out. Quickly pulling away from Mitsu--she didn't want to drag the poor ghoul down with her--the Baku yelped in alarm as she was sent sliding down.

((Staircase)) "Not really sure," shrugged the Reaper as he scaled the stairs. It seemed like it was virtually never ending. The amount of pink and sparkly things had him a little on edge too. He wasn't exactly scared but he certainly wasn't at ease with the way his surroundings were. Looking towards Xiu... and a dragon in the background that he kinda vaguely recognized, Shun didn't really have much of a chance to say anything else before the stairs suddenly went rather slick, causing him to start sliding down quickly. "Jack dammit!" he cursed before trying to see if he could stop himself from crashing into some sort of pit. ((BALL PIT))

Mitsu smiled, though it couldn't be seen, "Of course." She reassured.
As Poke started to approach that's when Mitsu noticed the stairs beneath their feet starting to shift. The baku's warning barely caught her ears before she tried to react.
The lupine had done her best to keep a hold of Xiu's hand but the baku slipped from her grasp and made her way down the stairs. Mitsu had barely enough time to jump / trip the rest of the way up the stairs to the landing. Quickly she turned around looking down at her companions who were now submerged in a pit of colorful balls.
"Are you guys okay?" She called looking up at Poke. At least she wasn't alone.

Before too long, Shun found himself crashing into some strange ball pit of sorts that kept making tingly noises whenever he moved. Surfacing from the pit, he looked around to try and get some sense of where he was. Xiu had fallen as well, but it looked like Mitsu might have escaped.
"Kuso... this place," he hissed before pausing as he suddenly had the feeling that they were being watched.
"OI! Mitsu! We'll be right up!" he called out before frowning at the Baku. This ballpit gave him a very bad feeling and he felt it would be wise if they got out as soon as they could.
With a sort of grimace, the Reaper went on to try and climb up the wall to see if he could get out. He thought of teleporting his way up but before he could even attempt to do so, he felt something grab a hold of his foot, yanking him down hard.
"Ah!"
In an instant, Shun was gone.

Somehow, poke had managed to prevent herself from falling down into the ball pit. She had just managed to grab onto the edge of the stair case and pull herself up and was now on the landing.
"I'm alright" she replied to Mitsu before looking back at the ballpit to see that Shun and the baku ghoul hadn't been so lucky. Although, she wasn't to worried. It was just a silly littl-
"Hey, what th-"
One minute, she had been watching the shun trying to get out, when he had suddnly vanished under the ball pit. Blinking, she waited for himt o come back up but nothing happened.
"Oy! Um..Bad a** dude!" she called out
Nothing
"....." So much for it being a silly little ball pit

This was bad. Xiu was glad to see that Mitsu and the dragon ghoul had gotten away safely, but she was horrified when Shun fell in as well. They had to get out of here! There was...something about this place that made her feel very uneasy.
The Baku tried to her best get to the side of the pit, pushing the horrid, jangling balls aside as she made her way to the edge. It was a bit of a struggle, but after some moments, she finally managed to climb out. The first thing she did was turn back to the ball pit to look for Shun, only for her stomach to sink when she caught sight of him getting dragged down.
"Shun! H-hey!" She hovered by the edge of the pit, scanning the area as best as she could. Where was he? Was he okay? Swallowing, Xiu looked up towards the landing at Mitsu and the other ghoul, her reddish-pink eyes wide with horror.

.....W....what had just happened? One minute Shun had been there and the next he had been pulled under like some sort of shark movie. "S..Shun? Shun!?" The wolf girl seemed a bit panicked as she began to pace the top of the stairs. What was she supposed to do? Should she try to jump in after him?
Looking to Poke for a moment Mitsu turned her attention to Xiu. At least it looked like the baku would make it out okay but where was Shun? What had happened to him?? The worst possible scenario was running through her mind and she was never going to see him again. With a whimper she sat down at the top of the stairs a little more than lost. She would wait here....yes here is where she would wait. Shun would come back.....right?

"Are you alright?!" Poke called out to the Baku ghoul, seeing that she looked to be very afraid. Which was only natural of course. But as to what had happened to shun, she couldn't say. But glancing to mitsu she seemed be on the verge of a panic attack.
"H-ehy..umm.." Poke began to say, then watching her as she sat down. It looked like she was going to wait till he came back. However, who knew when..or even if, he would come back?
Sitting down next to the wolf ghoul, she placed a hand on her back. "look, I wouldn't worry too much about him. I..don't really know him, but by the looks of things I doubt he would be the kind of guy would go down that easily. I'm sure he's kicking the every loving crap out of whatever's down there and will be back in no time, but I don't think it would be the wisest thing to sit here and wait. We could get attacked by something else if we stay here.

Rykier was too busy watching one of his new acquaintances to take notice of the familiar boil heading his way. If he had noticed then there would be no way that the ghostly dog would have made it within 5 feet of him because of his need to just get his grubby little hands all over his hair. Ry didn't know what was with the guy's fascination towards his pink streaks, and in a way he really didn't want to know.
Twitching slightly at the familiar touch and voice, the hippogryph slowly turned his icy gaze towards the cu sith and did his best to hold back a growl.
"And what the hell is THAT supposed to mean!?"
There was no time for an answer though. Suddenly it felt as if the whole building was shaking, and Rykier watched with wide eyes as the stairs started to turn in to slides, and he himself suddenly found himself sliding towards a set...

Cuinn blinked innocently, cocking his head to one side as Rykier gave him a particularly icy stare. He almost looked… annoyed? Why in the world would the hippogriff be annoyed? Cuinn simply wanted figure out what made the hair pink. If he found the cause of the strange coloration, maybe he could find the cure! He was about to open his mouth to explain that clearly pink was a huge part of his “Haunted House” design, but was cut off by the surprised exclamations of his peers as the floor transformed.
Ry was… sliding down the stairs? What? Why? It took Cuinn a couple of seconds to figure out that he, too, was falling. The cu sith briefly considered attempting to brace himself against the walls or grab the landing to stop his descent. Hmmmm… nah. THAT would be boring. Almost cheerfully he dropped to his stomach, sliding down as though he were a kid on a playground.
He landed roughly next to Rykier in the ball pit. Immediately his senses were assaulted by a nasty smell and the soft jingling of bells. Where in Jack’s name had he ended up?
That ghost sure had one weird house.

[Staircase/ball pit- CAUGHT]
It was inevitable, like some kind of magical force was denying him any kind of escape. No amount of wing flapping, clawing, scraping or even screaming could save him from plummeting straight down the slide and in to…a ball bit? No spikes, no wild animals, no hellish torture? No, he was in a pit, of balls, childish plastic toy balls. Maybe this was all a joke that Rykier didn’t understand.
With a grunt, the boil started to make his way towards the edge only to stop when he caught the sound of jingling bells. The very sound make his ears want to bleed as his nose filled with the scent of fruit. Normally it wouldn’t be so bad, but this scent was just too overpowering for him, like a ghoul who literally bathed herself in perfume.
"What kind of sick joke is this? This must of have been done by someone with too much time and little imagination."
Using the strength he had, Ry clawed and dragged himself towards the edge of the pit. He was close, very close, and then... Gone.
With a scream and a tug the hippogryph was taken out of no where and dragged beneath the colorful balls...

It was quite obvious by her face that the she-wolf had not been expecting the statue-thing to fall apart and...crush the kittens. So much for what she'd told Faint earlier. LW stared with wide eyes as an explosion of glitter settled all over everything. She would have stayed standing there, oblivious and in shock if there hadn't been the scream. A very shocking one. It jostled LW out of her frozen state and she looked around to see where it had come from. Her foot hit something at her feet and she slipped, fell, and another cloud of glitter surrounded her. But there was something shiny at her feet. LW picked it up and blinked at it before putting it in a pocket for safe keeping and later inspection.
Waitaminte. She was covered in glitter. Glitter! All over. Her hair. Clothes. Her tail! "JACK DAMNIT ALL!" LW brushed at anything she could, trying to get all the jack damned glitter off. But it just wasn't working. Getting up off the ground didn't help either. It just seemed like the stiff reattached to her body. The arm that locked with hers drew her attention and LW blinked at the hound. "Demi! We're covered in gliiiitter!" Yes she was whining. "I hope there is a shower." She added with a heavy sigh, letting the two boils lead them away from this room. Only then did she notice that Riley was there as well.
"Riley! Are you alright? Glitter! Everywhere. Jackdamnit I swear if I see another kitten~" Well, she really didn't know what she'd do. But right now, she really really hated glitter. And pink. And oh Jack why was she in here again? The she-wolf had no problem clinging to the hound. She did glance over to make sure the two were-tigers were coming too. "Are you two alright, Faint? And...I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name in all the kitten catching." LW gave the were-tiger ghoul a smile.
