Would a Samurai using channel be able to use ninjutsu to only have to pay, say, the combined cost of the chakra and the stamina in stamina points?

Yes, a Samurai can use ninjutsu by channeling nothing but Stamina.

Likewise, a Taijutsu technique could be used by channeling only chakra.

I think that would be a good one for FAQ's.

FAQs are mostly basic examples of basic questions. We haven't slipped in there anything regarding a Class/Modifier yet.

Adding to this, is it possible to add BL elements to the KI strike the Samurai class have? Elements such as Ice, Iron Sand, Explosive release and so on?

You mean as in the Explosive Bloodline? Well, it varies. If in the clay branch you could send your figures along the weapon [If sword, dagger or anything near] and make them explode. But, if in the other branch you wouldn't be able, as the weapon would fly off your hand. It all varies by the weapon, submit it then you'll get it looked at.

Akura: Seeing as the Ki Strike combines two elements, you could do that.

Is the description in the Samurai Class detailing the Channel ability not clear enough?

No. The whole point of that bloodline is that the user is able to channel the two energies at close range only, and it's part of the balance.

...channeling such energy through a weapon would be too difficult and would add range to something clearly not designed to have rang

Iron Sand and Explosive release don't count as 'elements' as they are effects.

...Ki Strike was designed to have two elements so that very few people would have a resistance to it by any means. Only duel-Elemental Masters could truly counteract a Ki Strike, and only if they chose the perfect element mix.

The whole point is just to channel the energies of the base elements to deliver the blast and disrupt the opponent's chakra channels by introducing/forcing foreign energies into their body... it's not that the energies themselves have massively different effects or that certain combination strengthen each other, it's just a disruption blast. So you couldn't really channel the ice element or wood element into someone, since it in itself is a combination of base elements... and a Ki Strike is a delivery of base elements.

I just got a couple a questions about some things.

For Intelligence Attribute, there is a -3 post learning reduction correct (I don't know if I misunderstood it or not)? Well I plan to have my RPC as a Ninjutsu user so when learning an E-Rank Ninjutsu I am assuming it takes one post right (Seeing when I do my math I get 3 - 4 = -1)?

Also for stacking attributes and specialties (Just to make sure), I have speed as an attribute and then I have Combo as a specialty. Do these stack to a 3 attack in one post when I activate the special move that goes with the attribute?

Lastly, this is a concern, the Ninjutsu class has no designated special ability like [TRAIN] but having it defined as something would be helpful. I was slightly confused and was looking for the special of the Ninjutsu class but it doesn't have any. Just thought I bring that to you attention. I know it has 3 elements with it but Ninjutsu users also have a bit more chakra than most users.

1. Yes, that is correct. You get -3 Posts when learning a jutsu. So, it would equal -1 Posts. I say that you can just auto-learn them. But for the sake of it, if you could still post that one post it'd be nicer.

2. Read the Stacking Rules in the Attributes and Specialties Topic. It says there that a boost cannot go above +2, so no. You would still only have Two Attacks per post.

3. This has to be answered by Cobra as he created them whole. But either way, you can imagine yourself that he did it for a fair RolePlay. Imagine a Ninjutsu Class Kage. Unlimited jutsu, two elements totally mastered and another pretty near to it. Adding a Special Ability would be too much.

Alright thanks for the response ^^

So it's safe to say you can put nothing for special abilities when it comes to ninjutsu then.

Actually, Gohan is wrong in his second response. The Combo Specialist can use two techniques per post. That's only a plus 1, not plus 2, which means you can perform three techniques in one post if you have the combo specialty and use the Speed combat ability.

Right, you would put "None" for class ability. The reason being is having three elements allows you to take advantage of the elemental weaknesses of your opponent(s), which is a major leg up on its own. So, in a sense, the third element and the ability to master two of them is the Class Ability, so to speak.

@Deil: Here's a direct section from the Stacking Rules:

Quote:
Stat Stacking
When dealing with stats, there are two kinds of stacks which you must keep in mind, Passive boosts and Active boosts. Examples of Passive boosts are Attribute benefits, Specialty benefits, Bloodline benefits, Stage one of Bijuu, and stats raised by the Taijutsu Class' [Train] ability.

- These abilities will stack with each other, but only up to a total Passive bonus of +2. So, if you have the Strength attribute (+1 to Strength, Passive) and [Train] Strength once (+1 to Strength, Passive), you have a total of +2 strength (Passive). Even if you [Train] Strength again, or if you have another passive boost to Strength, you will still only count as having +2 total, so don't waste your Specialties/[Train]/etc... on bonuses which won't stack.

Doesn't it still count to the Total Passive Boost?

I would say that in the speed ability would count as a active boost, because you have to activate the ability, and only able to do it once per battle.

Although I think it should be said, moving that fast it would take a Jounin or a Kage to use each jutsu perfectly. Not to say you need to have one miss or anything like that, just don't expect your opponent to believe every thing you did had perfect aim attached to it.
