Having taken in the situation, 'Emily' slipped beside the harassed Gryffin and tapped her on the shoulder, gesturing at the bag sitting beside Ainsley. Clearly separating the two children was going to take nothing short of a miracle, and in the mean time they might as well get the bags done
"Let me take her bags to the cabin with the other girls? I can bring the others back after, and then we have the luggage sorted out."
She glanced around at the other girls in the group, sizing them up and looking around at the trunks and suitcases that scattered the area.
"Do you all have your bags? If you need help with them, let me know. I don't look it, but I'm quite the pack mule! Once we get everything together, I'll take you up to your building so we can put your things away."

Genevieve waved Jenna off with a huge smile and the assurance that she would at least stop by to talk to her at dinner. She wasn't really one for kids, but the idea of all the fun stuff they were going to do paired with little Jenna that reminded the teenager of herself... Well, the cute was almost unbearable. Watching to make sure her newest camper friend wouldn't get lost on her way to 'Emily' or Griffin, she smiled as the girl got there quickly and soundly- Already chattering away about who knew what.
With that taken care of she pursed her lips and looked about for her cabin duty 'partner' Talia. Spotting her easily, and apparently not that far off from where she'd just sent Jenna, she made her way over to her and tapped her on the shoulder. "It looks like we might have some of the older girls for our cabin, do you want see if we can't call them over to us and get them moving to their cabin?" She asked it with the biggest grin possible but was already starting to become obviously impatient with how chaotic things were quickly becoming. "If they're all older we can get them moving quicker and get all the little stuff like who gets what bed out of the way. Leaving us more time to actually hang out and have fun maybe."
Yup, now that she wasn't distracted by a bundle of cute the bossy pants were on and taking control.

xxxxxTalia's face crinkled into a sort of fake smile and a cringe all in one. Jennifer was trying to rile her kids ... well their kids, but Talia didn't really want to be associated with them. Looking down her chart, she looked around helplessly trying to find kids in her cabin and didn't see any.
xxxxxShe smacked her head on her clipboard wishing Griffin was there in her cabin. Griffin was good with kids, wasn't she? Maybe she wasn't, but it would certainly be nice to see a face she knew.
xxxxxWait! There was Castille! That nice Meadowview girl she met at the gym. Well, maybe Talia could make something good out of this experience. She casually waltzed over to where Castille was standing, and whispered "Uhhh ... remember me Castille?" Oh God, if she doesn't remember you you're going to look like a stalker! This was a terrible idea Talia, she thought. She was castigating herself already.
xxxxxTalia kept quiet while the counselors were introducing themselves though. There was some idol chatter amongst the campers, but that was to be expected. Still, Talia was a "good" girl, so she listened quietly and clapped for various counselors she had been with for a few days.
xxxxxOf course, all of the counselors were acquaintances with each other now. To be honest though, Talia couldn't even remember some of their names. There was Griffin ... ugh Griffin, she would pay later. Castille, from the gym at home. Emily, a sort of weird girl with glasses that reminded her of someone, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. There was kookaburra of course, but everyone knew her by now. She didn't know most of the senior counselors by name, but then, the ratio of people she knew to people she didn't was quite staggering. Oh well, more people to meet!

“I’m glad I’m not the only one!” Arian said in response to the other boy’s admission of not really knowing what he was doing, his voice heartfelt. “This is my first time at summer camp ever, so I’ve been feeling kind of clueless.” Well okay make that really clueless – as in snail minus shell type clueless or duck missing water. with not knowing any of the faces around had only serving to contribute to that feeling.
“I was hoping to find out who my cabin counsellor is.” Well that and at least the name of his cabin. and I’ve been staying near the stage to find out who my cabin counsellor is” he admitted . “But none of the people on the stage has called out my name or anything and they’re still introducing themselves.”
At the Cass’ offered hand, Arian held out his own and shook it. “Pleased to meet you Cass, my name’s Arian, Arian Laith. I’m sorry, I should have introduced myself first before rambling on like that.”

As the counselors continued to come up and introduce themselves, things seemed to settle down a little. Campers were being gently herded by the counselors and it was, to some degree, working! Kids were starting to pick up their bags, some using their duffle bags as a makeshift seats. Those boring old counselors were still coming up and introducing themselves! How lame! ------------------------ ((Counselors, you may still introduce yourself if you have not already. Players, no matter what ‘faction’ they are in, can still jump in! Any time is a good time to make your first post. Get your bags, chat, do what comes naturally! However! An Important final message from Gently will appear tomorrow (Thursday) morning (PST) before the short TOUR of camp begins! … and some boring OOC information will follow that.))

At first Castille didn't hear the girl calling for her. She did hear someone whisper though and turned around. Seeing Talia, she said "Oh hey! How are you? I was just talking to one of your girls from your cabin!" Another girl trying her get her attention. She looked back to where the girl stood and said "Oh? Well what's your name? I'm Castille. You can call me that or Cub, Whichever is best for you!" She offered her hand toLeah.

Linked arm in arm with Ainsley, Sam let the girl speak for him and apparently claimed him as luggage. Sam simple nodded and stuck his tongue out at the counselor. It was lucky that he didn’t say anything, because all that would have come out would have been nonsense. He had no objections to being claimed, but the way that his friend protested so adamantly and clung to him tightly made the boy feel a little warm and fuzzy inside. Not knowing what to really do, he just continued to ‘be’.
He caught sight of Adira, but his tongue was in knots, so he just smiled at her and waved with his other hand. When he heard Istas’s voice, Sam let out a small sigh of relief. So there was other kids he knew at camp! At least Ainsley would have classmates to talk to, and they could braid her hair! Sam really hoped that she was kidding when she said she wanted him to do it. Though he had never met Peter before, it was good to know he wasn’t the only boy . . . not that he minded it so much anymore.
“Don’t worry, I won’t sneak into a girls’ cabin. Normal frogs are cool though, I’d rather kiss that than a prince.” Specifically because he was a boy. Sam did not kiss other boys. For that matter, Sam did not kiss anyone except his mother.
When the other counselor offered to step in, Sam pulled a ‘nnnnnnnnnhhhh’ face at Hawkeye. They win!

Breaking her attention away from the duo to answer another camper, Jenna, Griffin smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Jenna! Of course, you'll have plenty of time to hang out with your friend, during meals, down times, and activities, too."
With a smile still on her face, she gave Ainsley an incredulous look. "I don't think your little buddy is luggage. He could probably help you carry it, though." She was torn with what to do. Was there protocol for this? Griffin didn't think she'd seen this in any manual or training video. She pursed her lips, but before she could say anything more to Ainsley or Istas, Emily saved the day by helping the campers with their bags. She heaved a sigh of relief and nodded to her co-counselor. However, she still made a face at Sam, just for the sake of making a face at a little kid. She hoped no other counselors saw. She wasn't upset that he and Ainsley had gotten their way. In fact, they were really rather cute.
"It looks like you kids lucked out this time. But it looks like you haven't taken your stuff to your cabin, young man." Griffin pointed an accusing finger at Sam. "Do you know who your counselor is?" She looked around and didn't see anyone who appeared to be searching for Ainsley's little friend. "Tell you what, the three of us can take your stuff to your cabin, okay? We'll just make it really quick and your friend and I will wait outside, does that sound good?" Compromise from Counselor Hawkeye. She hoped they wouldn't get in trouble. Especially her little girl camper. Ainsley, she thought Istas had called her. She checked her off the list.

"M-mmaybe we're last?" Cass suggested. That would definitely be a relief. It meant he wouldn't be standing here like an idiot when everyone else knew where they were going.
"I got distracted... I don't know if I missed my name," He cringed. Hopefully they were in the same boat, not just for that, but it would be nice to actually be in the same cabin as Arian. Cass didn't manage to get this far into meeting someone without making a fool of himself often.
"Oh! n-no, I mean, it's fine, I just... uh, missed the boat with someone else earlier. Stuff is moving so fast..."

Seth pulled on Lucien's cheek with a forced grin of his own, "Did you?" Clearly, his answer was otherwise.
But as he raked his hands through his hair, he changed the subject. "Are you here because of Eve?" Somehow, despite her age, Seth and Lucien were still being pulled along by the young girl. Seth wondered what was responsible; their weakness or her persistence? But either way, two men that would, under normal circumstances, would never consider camp was here now.
Leaning on one leg, he was skimming through the list of names that he had recorded on his phone, both counselors and kids alike. "I refuse." It took no hesitation on his part to reject the name, regardless of the thought that Eve would put into it. He slid the phone closed. "Too bad that we're not in the same cabin." He directed towards Lucien, despite rooming with two other counselors, Seth had yet to come to know them. Seth would have liked to room with Lucien. And no, he wasn't talking about Adira or Eve. Not that he was going to room with Adira or Eve. Seth had morals after all. Perhaps as a negaverser, some misguided morals, but he definitely had some.
And then to both Lucien and Eve, he questioned "You had lifeguard duties, right? I ..ah.. might join you." If he was to stay here for two weeks, Seth was trying, at the very least.

"Ew, you'd kiss a frog?" Peter spoke up as he over heard the other kids his age talking, slipping through the taller people to give the others a look over. He was trying to avoid being caught by his brother, so blending in with the other children seemed to be his best bet. "Why would you kiss a frog? Unless you want to get sick or kill it," he said with a small grimace. He was of the idea that nature should be looked at and not touched, but that was just him. He happened to like things as they were.
And of course he knew they were talking about the frog prince fairy tale, but there was nothing wrong with playing devil's advocate every once in a while. Or all the time. Whatever.
"You're Sam, right?" he chirped, looking the other child over. Eh, he didn't look like the kid who would roll around in the dirt just for the heck of it, but he could make due. "I'm Peter. You go to Knightside too, don't you? What grade are you in? I think I've seen you before. Were you in my second grade class? Hold still," he rambled, reaching into his pocket to pull out his phone so he could take a picture of him, before glancing over at the girl he was with, who wasn't Istas. He already knew Istas, even if she didn't know him.
"Hold still, too," he said to Ainsley, taking her picture as well, before turning to look up at the counselor that came over to them, holding up his phone so he could take a picture of her as well.
"Don't you know it's rude to point?" he asked with a frown up at Griffin. Jeez. They were already young, they didn't have to be treated like they were in kindergarten, though. "What's your name? Age? Highest level of education?"
Hmm... He should go and find Lissy... They'd gotten separated in the crowd...

Ainsley would have waved to Adira but between her bag and Sam, it seemed her hands were full. Without hands to wave to her, she smiled brightly instead. She hoped her messaged was relayed as she replied. "It's nice to see you again too!" However, the smile soon fell as Istas began to talk. Sam couldn't come into the cabin? How come! Perhaps they could dress him up as a princess, would that work? Either way, the child clung to her bag and Sam. She was conflicted in regards to what to do next but relieved they weren't going to force Sam to leave when he didn't want to.
It was probably preferable that they all took their stuff to their cabins soon, let Cora out for some air while they checked out the camp! Did Sam want to help her carry her bag? She looked at him and wondered if he wanted to help her carry her luggage Hawkeye had suggested it. What about his own bags? She stood still long enough for Peter to take a picture of her while she thought about this, a small smile on her face.
"Let's go then!" She said, keeping the small smile she had when Peter took a picture of her.

Gigi was immensely pleased with herself. She’d watched ‘The Parent Trap’ no less than six times while packing, and had been inspired. Not only had she managed to coax both her parents into the same place to see her off for camp (even if they hadn't actually communicated with each other for the duration), she'd also totally convinced her dad that the camp lasted for one week instead of two. Through a feat of some perseverence and judicious editing of one of the camp fliers, her dad would be expecting her home a whole week early, and would be arriving on her doorstep to take her out for post-traumatic-camping coffee - Gigi fully expected Camp coffee to suck, and her dad had agreed. But instead, her cunning plan would bloom – he’d only find his wife, alone in the house. With the basket of chocolates Gigi had ‘accidentally’ forgotten to pack sitting invitingly on the coffee table.
It was pretty much the best marriage-saving plan Gigi had come up with to date. And best of all, she could now relax in the happy sunshine and let it happen. It sucked about no phone service, she'd been hoping to call home and check that her plan was working. There was always the possibility that her dad would say something stupid, or her mum would throw a fit... A back-up plan might be needed. Maybe she could break something? Just to be sure. Hospital hadn’t been that bad, and it had kept them in the same room. Better make it a leg, she decided, as the buses pulled into the camp driveway at last. She’d go crazy with a broken arm.
Out of the buses, Gigi stayed on the edges of the chaos, soaking up the atmosphere and listening to the announcements. After a while, she decided that the great bag scramble was taking too long, and she crawled into the belly of the bus herself to start pushing out other people’s luggage. It stank in there (and there was just no way she was touching that little bag thing, ewww) but eventually her own bag was recovered, safe and sound.
It looked like the camp was finally starting to get organised, and some of the activities sounded amazing! Gigi hefted her luggage and headed in the direction of the megaphone, looking around for her check-in points. Jennifer and ‘Moose’ had sounded nice (anyone promising ice-cream sounded nice), but Gigi had no idea what they actually looked like yet.

Suddenly, Ainsley's bag was lifted up. Out of surprise Cora made a little voice, a soft growl that she used to make whenever she was surprised or curious about something. The voice probably drowned into in the noise coming from other campers but maybe it could been heard by people close to miss McMahon's bag. No other voices were heard after that however. Cora had calmed down after hearing Ainsley's voice and feeling the gentle rocking the girl was making when carrying her bag. She could wait. She would wait for her signal before making any other moves or sounds.

Aitana was thrilled to see both of the people she was looking for together FINALLY and she shoved her way through a handful of people before she came to a stop behind 'Jennifer'. "Hey!" She shouted in greeting her arms crossing mildly across her chest as she waited both for them to acknowledge her and for the rest of her group to gather. Slackers.
"What does cabins look like?" She inquired after a moment in her thick accent.
"Bed sandwiches?" What..? It was fairly unlikely the two would dechiper 'bunk beds' out of that lovely description.
