Instead of the usual group of Reploids coming, as the alleyway's new 'redecoration of sawblades' made it impossible to get though easily, another approach was taken.
A shadow was cast over Edge as a Reploid landed in front of her.
Icarus.
He gave an audible sigh, shaking his head.
"'Do not engage', I said....'Understood' she says...." he groaned, lowering down to be at her level.
"Now you DO look like hell...."

To be expected after such a brutal beat down, Edge's vision was failing. One eye was completely broken and not functioning, and the other was just barely feeding. Visual feed flickered back and forth between reality and static. Edge moved slowly, practically crawling across the wall as she inched towards to help. She couldn't understand what the delay was. Were they blind to see she was about to fall apart?
Edge jumped in surprise, almost falling over when Icarus spoke. She hadn't even seen him drop down (vision glitched to static when the b*****d came down).
"Sssshhhhut up..." She hissed slowly in reply, going back to inching towards the rest of the rescue crew. "All..Al..Almost... Had hi..Him.."

"Riiiiiiiiiiiight...." Icarus replied skeptically.
"And Dozer is a mathematical genius...." he added with sarcasm, picking Edge up.
"Your mess made it impossible for the others to reach you." he told her, slowly taking off of the ground so it didn't damage Edge any further.
"I'm HOPING this proves as a valuable lesson for you..."

"Well....BESIDES you. Did he harm any bystanders?"

"Not... Not that I know." Edge growled again, leaving the part of the child out as she didn't want to give any fuel to Icarus' "I told you so" berating, nor did she have the energy to even fully tell about it.

"He stole..." Edge groaned, looking tiredly down at the rest of the crew.
"Almost had... Had him beat." She added with a heavy sigh.

Icarus rolled his eyes.
"Right..Sure, I'm 'convinced' he looks worse.." he told her as they landed.
"At least now we have a positive ID."

"Where is my father?" Edge asked, unable to find him amongst the others, and her vision was starting to really fail. She was beginning to see more static than reality.

"Hal is inside the transport, waiting for you...And he was NOT happy..." Icarus replied, nervously, as they reached the transport and opened the back, placing Edge at the center.
Hal just stared at her...

Edge groaned, not wanting to see her father. She knew he was going to be upset. She wouldn't be surprised to hear he demanded the transport to come the minute she fell off the radar thanks to the Black Robot's EMF.
As she saw laid down and facing her father, Edge gave a weak smile, trying anything she could to calm him down.
"Hello father.."

"I....I...I....I'm just gonna.....Just gonna run......BYE!" Icarus replied, clearly not wanting to be there, and shutting the transport before running off elsewhere.
"Hello, Kelly...." Hal sighed, staring at her.
"So..........Care to explain?"

Edge rolled her eyes at Icarus' retreat. He didn't seem scared at all to tell her about the Black Robot, but he was fleeing like a coward all because her father was on the transport. It odd to see how fickle bravery could be for people.
"I told.. I told Icarus..." She tiredly replied. "Ask him."
