"The Necromancy is innate, though the rest are all studied. I just have more knack than most for a few." Sh answered before nodding to him. "And yourself? You didn't say if there were others here who practiced or not, I meant to ask."

"My powers are innate, though my training is diverse and includes a bit more focus on enhancing my racial abilities than magical arts alone, though it is difficult to become greater as a dragon without also becoming greater as a sorcerer," he said. My abilities strongly focus on enchantments and mindbending effects... though of course none of my own are thus ensorceled," he added, putting a hand on the top of Saber's hat, where she sat at his feet. "Have you delved into books about the Lower Planes, in your occult research?" he asked.

A happy little smile plays at the corners of Saber's lips upon feeling Matasoga's hand on her head. Suddenly realizing that he's talking to her she jumps, then winces slightly before saying, "M-me? Lower-planes? What are those? I've been so busy making friends with everyone lately that I've been a bit lax in my research."

The corner of her mouth lifted almost a smirk as he informed her the lady was not under a spell. "No, in honesty ive never heard of the Lower planes." Necro was glad for the moon's dimmed rays, making it harder to see her blush of embarrassment. She hated not knowing things.

Without so much as a glance, he said telepathically to Saber "No, not you. I was addressing Necrofade." Upon further consideration he couldn't fault a user of the arcane for not knowing as much as she might about the home planes of fiends (as Matasoga was certainly no expert himself) but that Saber, whose heritage came from one of them didn't know (what he at least believed to be) a very common collective term for such planes as Hades, Hell, The Abyss, Gehenna, and the like was indeed shocking, though he did not express it in words or gesture, his visage as serene as usual. He would have expressed his condolences to Saber that Necrofade was without any resources to aid her in her search for holding her form, but since she didn't know why (or who, seemingly) he was asking, he simply kept his gaze upon Necrofade and said, "That's a shame. They make for interesting reads... If your tastes run a bit dark."

Surprised to suddenly hear Matasoga's voice in her head, Saber holds her hands over her ears and tips her head down, using the brim of her hat to hide the flush of embarrassment that creeps over her.

Necro raised an eyebrow to Saber, wondering what she was studying. 'Well I guess that answers who else studies here..[/] As Matasoga spoke the little smirk melted into a neutral expression, giving him no clue of her own thoughts. She gave a slight shrug, as if to say oh well. "Run abit dark? I'll have to look into it then, though I doubt it's as dark as the things i've done." Her voice was soft, as if thinking of a memory that was possibly fond.

He debated asking her to tell him more, but decided that this early lighter, less probing and less serious conversation may be best. He then realied that he hadn't answered her other question. "Oh, as for who else studies, Haruka is a healer, but like most healers, I don't believe that her abilities are arcane, in nature. As for the others... Well, I can't conclusively say that there are no practitioners present among the regulars, but if there are, then they haven't discussed magic or cast spells in front of me, though I wouldn't be entirely surprised to learn of it," he said.

She briefly wondered if he answered her questions to change the subject, but decided it didnt really matter at this moment. He still had told her very little of himself, and off the bat had asked her about herself. "So you've at least a white magic user and yourself, with your range of different magics. I can see why you might like another practitioner stopping by." Turning she focused back on Saber, eyes unblinking for a moment. "Though i wonder what it is you do, to gain such a large house that you can fill with those with no blood or love ties to you." She mused out loud, lifting her arms as she stretched, a series of pops emitting from along her back. This also opened her cloak, revealing her outfit better, as well as the scarring along her left side that ran from her upper arm to just below her ear on her left side.

Saber, relieved that no one mentioned her mistake (at least not out loud), giggled quietly to herself, content to listen to the other two talk. Looking up she noticed Kenny nearby and held her hand out to him, wiggling her fingers in an offer to scratch his ears.

The scar also enticed his curiosity, but again he would wait until such questions were more appropriate. Meanwhile her musings begged an answer, to which he playfully covered Saber's ears and said "It is truly amazing what a lordly air, cup of understanding, spoonful of charm, and a pinch of mystery can get people to do for you." He moved his hands, a blithe, if somewhat insincere smile on his lips. "Really, there aren't so very many here," he said. "At least not so many as I'd like... But perhaps in time, no?"

Necro glanced towards where Saber wiggled her fingers, but did not make any move towards the creature, content to let Saber unknowingly answer the question for her. Turning back to Matasoga she rolled her eyes at him. Well at least it seemed he had humor, if it was somewhat faked. With exaggerated movements she made a bow to him, looking up at him while still bent. "You'll have to excuse me Lord Matasoga for not falling to my knees and begging you to let me stay with you right away." Her tone was playful, though her eyes were hooded, hiding if she truely played or not.

"I've got all the time in the world, dear, he said with an unchanging expression. Although really, I'm not so sure that its a matter of time," he said, passively turning a gaze to his thick, black, nails, declining his head slightly to do so. "I'd wager that your a tough nut to crack, as they say, and I much prefer being pursued to pursuing." He paused here, his head still lowered, slightly, but turned his gaze back to meet hers, "if I am to be perfectly frank." Meanwhile Kenny, who had been doing nothing but occassionally inching forward, sat up on his hind legs, looking a bit like a short, chubby prairie dog (even though he was actually rather thin but very, very fluffy). He moved closer, but kept some distance, staring at her while he plucked a dandelion and began to gnaw upon it, stripping it of its yellow insides.

Forgetting everything else upon feeling Matasoga's hands on her ears, Saber sits up straighter and leans back, tipping her head up to watch his lips. The hand she'd been holding out to Kenny slowly drops into her lap as Matasoga pulls his hands away and as she realizes what the two are talking about her eyes light up, "Oh! You should stay! It's wonderful here." Remembering Kenny again, she pulls a sugar cube out of her pocket and holds it out to him.

Matasoga waited sometime and when Necrofade didn't respond, he decided that she was either in some sort of arcane trance or reverie of some sort or simply had nothing more to say. He looked down to Saber and said "Oh, no. Those aren't good for him. He reached into his spell component pouch and drew out a tiny pine cone. Give him this, instead."
