xxxxxTalia smiled at the purple haired girl, but honestly she was just too strange for her liking. It must've been the fact that she could barely see the girl's eyes behind the thick coke bottle glasses. It was just too unnerving. She smiled and laughed and said, "So you do go to Crystal! Wonderful!" but internally she was wondering what was behind those glasses. After a second glance, Talia could see why they were friends; Bebe had that same "oldies" feel as Guen did. Guen felt more ... retro, while Bebe just felt out of date to Talia. Regardless, she would never say any of these thoughts to either girl. Well, maybe not intentionally.
xxxxxHer rather rude thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice. Someone who sounded like...
xxxxx"Griffin!!" Talia cried out ecstatically. Even if she was quiet, Talia couldn't forget her upperclassmen friend's voice. She immediately took a step or two to reach out and hug Griffin- which was rather awkward considering Griffin was a bit taller than her. "Your dress is so pre-" she began, but was interrupted by the crowning of both the prom queen and king.
xxxxxTalia cheered with everyone else for their coronation and listened intently to both speeches. Even if she didn't know either of them, it was always nice to cheer on a victory! Though it didn't even happen to her, Talia blushed bright red as Elzo ran up to the stage to romantically kiss Daphne and sweep her off her feet. "Oh my gosh that's so adorable!" Talia said to the little group that had assembled with her.
xxxxxAs a new song started to play for the king and queen's "first dance" (which had now been avoided at this point apparently), Talia bowed dramatically to Guen, Bebe and Griffin.
xxxxx"My dearest ladies, could I possibly partake in jirating with you lovely gentlewomen back and forth on the dance floor?" she asked jokingly, as though she was a butler from old England. She giggled a bit and grabbed Griffin's and Bebe's hands and dragged them towards the dance floor.

The dancing was pretty much trademark Bo, all sweeping around the room dramatically and not very much actual dancing. The size difference between the two of them just sort of equated Adira being swept along for the ride without much say in the matter, but she didn't care much. She giggled softly at another terrible impression, but tried to hush him when the woman came on stage. "I think they're announcing something."
As Bodhi rushed off into the crowd after a rather haphazard kiss, Adira felt completely shell shocked. She'd forgotten after all this time what a whirlwind he was, and how easy it was to just roll with whatever he did. He was overly affectionate, but not in a creepy manner. He was sweet, but not quite all together there to be a complete boyfriend. Dating Bo was like living in limbo sometimes. Were they even dating anymore? There where too many questions for her to sift through and not enough answers for them.
Adira snapped out of thought when she heard her name. What?....What had he just said?
Not many things could make Adira blush, but she was so caught off guard by his incredibly vocal compliment that she turned bright red. It was a little better when he diffused the attention off of her, but she could still see people staring, which made her blush even more since she was embarrassed of blushing. It was a vicious cycle, to be sure. Trying to brush it off, Adira shook her head at the rest of his speech. The woman should not have offered Bodhi Hanley a microphone, and she was smart to wrestle it away.
Next thing she knew, Adira was getting swept around the room again. Really, she was beginning to understand what a small child's stuff animal felt like, being swung all about the place. "King Bo, Lord of Summer." Adira tugged jokingly on his crown as she said this, since her feet were finally on the ground enough to be stable.
It wasn't long before the room felt suffocating, to the point where the swept around Adira felt like she needed to leave. Bidding Bo a farewell, Adira slipped out the side door in all of her finery. It was time for air, and for sleep. She'd had enough of her impromptu prom.

With half a flask of booze poured down his throat, Ever had swept Sabine away from Zac and out onto the dance floor, instead. He wasn't much of a dancer. There was no elegant turning, no gentle hands on her hips, no guiding of feet through the dance. Instead it was thoughtless movement, close without cuddling and a hundred percent platonic. He liked the loud ones.
The mess of electing prom king and queen went entirely over his head. He did not go to these schools. He didn't know the nominees, let alone the winners, and quite frankly he didn't care. Popularity contests weren't something he usually bothered with.
As the music finally slowed, though, he hesitated, considering Sabine and then leaning forward to say something very quiet in her ear. Leaving her, for this one. Instead he scanned the crowd with dark eyes, head tipped, hunting for a flash of bright blue hair --
And there, playing wallflower, was Zac. He crept over, reaching out to snag his hand and haul him toward the dancefloor, whether he wanted it or not. In his other palm, he offered the flask. Courage, if Zac needed it.

It took him a snap second to realize what was happening "Hey...HEY!" He said adding volume when the first protest didn't work. Volume didn't help either, too soon they were in the middle of too many watching eyes. "Whatareyoudoing!" He flustered turning bright red.
he looked around wildly for Sabine, was that amusement or horror he saw in the surrounding faces. He stared hard at his shoes for a moment. Moment of truth...how much should he -care-. He was a negaverse general for god sake. But... his mother would find pictures and..
And... his breathing felt just a little too fast but he at least met Ever's eyes again. "...It's YOUR feet...." he said by way of warning that he really...didn't dance." and then glanced away again.

"It's a slow dance, Zac." He shook the booze one last time to see if Zac wanted it and then gave up, tucking it back into the side pocket of his pants. Ever could save it for later, at least. For now he settled Zac in front of him, grinning helplessly at the height difference, and flicked just a brief look around.
He was delicate, settling one of Zac's hands on his shoulder and curling his own against Zac's hips, eyebrows raised in a mock-serious way. Beneath it, though, Ever did look genuinely pleased. He hadn't gotten smacked, kicked, or any real protest in reply. He'd expected this to me more difficult.
"No one's looking, and you don't even have to move your feet. Just sway a little, and you're golden."

"They -are- looking and I -will- get you for this later." he said with a small nose crinkle and may or may not have deliberately stepped on Ever's foot. "Oops..." he said not sounding at all remorseful before he did concede to settle into a careful 'sway' and a quiet mutter that he felt silly. he fumbled with where to put his own hands and ended up with one on Ever's Arm and... the other resting almost gingerly in counterpoint on Ever's hip. Not tall enough to reach the shoulder comfortably after all.
When all was said and done though, he had to concede... it wasn't -that- bad...

And a name, Talia. Talk about high energy. Opening her mouth to reply, Bebe held her tongue as the fourth girl quietly entered into the conversation. I suppose this is the famous opposites attract, she thought, looking at them. Opening her mouth again, this time to reply to Guen, she laughed as her next words were yet again cut off, this time by the prom king and queen arriving on stage to give their speeches. It was ... not exactly what she would have pictured for, but she told herself that it was only to be expected. Kids will be kids, and there was no short of wild behavior going on around her. As Bebe mulled on this, an amused smile on her face, she suddenly felt the steel grip of exited energy snatch up one of her hands. "Oh! I can't - I'm afraid I'd just - I really don't see myself -" A slight cringe back was not nearly strong enough to avoid her being dragged along behind the girl, tripping and stumbling as she still attempted to talk her way out of what was coming. She turned and looked pleadingly towards Guen, begging for deliverance from her cruel fate.

Guen had just enough tact to put her hands in front of her mouth before bursting into helpless giggles. Once Talia had made up her mind, Guen was fairly sure Bebe was beyond saving, even if she tried. Instead she took one hand away from her face to wave, grinning somewhat mischievously as the other two girls were towed off to the dance floor. Secretly she was relieved - she really didn't have any illusions about her own ability to dance beyond swaying side to side awkwardly. However, now she was alone at the punch table, which seemed to be mostly populated by upperclassmen. She grabbed herself a cup and went to fill it with the bare dredges of the punch bowl. Geez, who'd been drinking this stuff? It was barely a step up from koolaid! If some of the older students shot her knowing glances, she was oblivious. She took a sip and nearly spat it out again- this was some really STRONG punch. Glancing suspiciously around the table, she nursed her drink. Had someone put something in it? Well, everyone else had drank some and seemed fine. She sipped away happily, marvelling at the warm feeling she felt spreading through her limbs. She suddenly felt a little...light headed. And the cup was empty. More punch was obviously the way to go. Maybe it was low blood sugar. For some reason, she only felt more thirsty. She scooped another couple of ladelsful and set into her second- third? - cup.

Griffin hugged Talia back and wished she'd finished her compliment, but the implication of one was enough. She watched the coronation and the sweet romance and tried not to gag. It was sweet, yes, and she was happy for them, sure, but it wasn't her cup of tea. Prom was just so cliché. She looked at the other girls with Talia and recognized them as Crystal girls, too. She didn't really know them, no, but she could probably remember seeing them in passing in the hallway during her last semester if she thought hard enough. While the coronation took place and Talia cooed over the couple, Griffin took a drink of her punch, and immediately knew that it wasn't quite kosher. It wasn't overpowering, but she could detect the alcohol. She finished her cup, and wondered about going back for more. When Talia proposed dancing, her question was answered. She was gonna need some liquid courage to deal with prom and dancing. And Talia. The girl was quite the handful. She looked at Bebe sympathetically, but once they were out on the dance floor, Griffin excused herself to head back to the punch bowl for seconds… Then thirds. She saw Talia's other friend at the punch bowl with as many drinks as she had, and Griffin nodded understandingly. She leaned in towards the girl and asked, " I'm sorry, but what's your name again? I'm Griffin." She gestured to herself and then put a hand to her cheek, as though she could feel the warm flush that was spreading across her face. Glancing back to the dance floor, she felt obliged to go back to join Talia and company. Even though she didn't really want to… But now it didn't seem so bad. Without waiting for an answer, Griffin's smile grew bigger and she said, " Why don't we go out there and join them?"

xxxxxWhat in the world did those girls think they were doing? Prom was about dancing and romance- not getting fifty drinks at the punch table and making awkward side conversations. Talia made a little gasp as she realized the punch probably wasn't just ... well it was probably spiked. A few hiccuping kids around the punch bowl confirmed her suspicions. Not too mention that Griffin had just started talking to a random stranger, something she'd probably never do without profuse prompting.
xxxxxShe made a frowning face with her tongue out at them, and then turned back to Bebe. Gosh those glasses. She shrugged and said, shall we dance miss? Talia broke into a few twirls and flung her arms out at the appropriate time. She wasn't exactly a bad dancer. Her curly bun bounced on top of her head. She really regretted not having a "down" hairstyle for prom now, but if she took it out of it's carefully placed knot on the top of her head, it would look ridiculous.
xxxxxGriffin started to walk towards the twosome, and without even turning to face her said, "So the drunken camper returns huh?" She didn't mean it to sound so rude. But 17 years of a "No drugs, no alcohol, no sex" mantra installed to repeat itself over and over in her head by her father. It wasn't her fault she had strict parents, right?
xxxxxTalia glanced over to the prom couple- well now the two prom couples that had split. It was so romantic, prom. Talia loved all of the glamor that hid itself behind jirating, sweating bodies and drunken misfits who spiked punch just to ruin everyone's night (she still wasn't over that...)
xxxxx"So," she turned to Bebe, still dancing, "D'you like prom?" It was an awkward question, but Talia didn't exactly know what to say to the girl. It was better than "how's the weather" right? If only Bebe would take off her glasses. I bet she has really pretty eyes under there somewhere, Talia thought.

Senri held out his hand for the heiress to take, gently maneuvering her through the crowds of people."By all means." He agreed easily to the request, giving her a smile. He obliged Jada not for social obligations nor her position, but simply because he liked the girl. Meanwhile, he offered Jada his handkerchief in his other gloved hand. "Keep it." He smiled gently, while keeping a careful eye on the crowds. He continued their conversation as they walked, "Indeed. I hope you weren't hurt?" He allowed his eyes to trail over her, noticing faint bruises, signs of injury, and the fragile manner she carried herself. Perhaps she did? Or was it another incident? Not that it was his concern. "I'd like to warn you in advance though, I may not measure up to your last dance partner." Senri grinned dryly, who couldn't notice the spectacle that Jada and Devi made of themselves? Although he wouldn't deny that it had been fun to watch.

Da ... Daisy, it appeared as though she had been left alone with the energetic gushing Talia. The other two girls had melted into the crowd, and she was expected to dance to the wall of noise coming out of the speakers. Swaying from side to side with the beat, Bebe avoided breaking out into all out rhythmic assault on her muscles. Hesitating, she looked around at the wildly gyrating bodies, then back at her dancing partner. "Well - I have to admit that it isn't quite my preferred social function, but it's always good to try new experiences. It's so invigorating, don't you agree?" Glancing back again at the crowd, she spotted Guen and the other girl who had flitted away chatting together at the punch bowl. Surely people weren't thirsty already, they had barely arrived. Though it was rather warm in here, she doubted that anyone, well any of the girls, were overdressed. Some of those dresses were very low cut. And high cut. And well, cut pretty much everywhere. Really. Her eyes rested on the stage where the band was performing. "Do you know ... who those people are up on the stage singing? They look awfully young to be professional performers. Especially that one boy with the uh - scruffy haircut."

She smiled at Senri as he held out his hand and accepted it gratefully, giving it a friendly squeeze. "Thank you." It was easy to get through the crowd surrounding the punch bowl, and she dipped herself another glass careful not to slosh. But sloshed was just what the people around her were, and abruptly Jada realized just why the party was taking its relaxed turn. How many under-aged honor students had chosen to partake?
"It was nothing serious." she said at last, and thanked him for the handkerchief. She dabbed lightly at the perspiration on the back of her neck, and then the handkerchief disappeared. Was it hammer space? Or was Jada just that good? Regardless, she finished her cup of booze, and then guided the man back towards the dance floor. "Just some cuts and scratches." And the fact she'd had a mild concussion. Luckily, Jada's head was hard as a rock. But then she'd been stabbed. (Jada left that out of the conversation.)
"Devi is a great dancer." Jada's lips quirked. "But you really don't need to try and compare. I guess I could eb inclined to forgive you if you happen to dance a little more sedate than the electri-maca-chicki-pokey allows." Electric Slide, Macarena, Chicken Dance, Hokey Pokey? "At least, I think that's what we were doing." Luckily for Senri, the music was more sedate. Even if it was Bieber.

Genevieve was taken quickly in arm and led in a waltz. It was surprising and welcome, though she felt like an ungraceful ostrich when she realized that Azzo was, indeed, quite good at ballroom dancing. Glancing here and there as they moved and swirled she realized they were probably the only two doing more than groping each other and swaying back and forth in tune to the music or not. It was a gratifying feeling and she felt like a true princess. Laughing as they moved and the song came to an end she kissed the ends of her fingertips and placed them on her dance partner's cheek. "Thank you," she felt relaxed and completely sincere and it was obvious in her voice. "That was rather unexpected and wonderful, I feel really lucky you were such a good lead."
Unsticking her tongue from the roof of her mouth she realized that she was getting extremely thirsty between the conversation and the waltz. Looking longingly at the punch bowl she flexed her fingers and smiled again. "I think I'm going to go get something to drink... Would you like anything Azzo?"

Azzo smiled as she seemed to enjoy the waltz. Occasionally, he'd make a remark near a couple that were piratically groping each other including and not limited to 'get a room' or 'my grandmother would die of embarrassment to see such things' after he managed to make the more self-conscious couples break up. He whistled, "Sorry that's one of those things my Grandfather use to do, being a psychologist he often found it funny to embarrass those a little too open in public."
Azzo had to admit it sort of was funny to see the looks on the couple's faces. "I've always wanted to that." He smiled, "And Thank you as well. Ballroom dancing was one of those things grams always thought proper to learn. It takes a while to get us to doing such dancing without proper music." His eyes glanced off to the Biebs however, he was quickly distracted by the fact she was kissing her finger tips and then placed them on his cheek, there was a noticeable blush and a slight cough.
"I... er *ahem*... often don't drink the punch at these sorts of events..." He tried to recover from the unexpected show of gratitude, it wasn't something he was use to. "However, we can see what they have, maybe they'll have bottled drinks as well." He gave a soft nod and offered his arm so he could escort her off to the refreshments.
