"It was the most pleasant feeling I've ever experienced." Tomie growled, the cheerful, carefree and chipper tone now replaced with venomous sarcasm.
She turned a glare towards Danny. "Does it look like I'm all right?" She asked looking down at the red blotches on her thighs where the coffee had scorched her.

Larue lifted one silver brow skeptically. "You must live in a world with very disappointing men," he remarked. He doubted his comment would be construed as too uncouth. This young woman didn't seem like a prude to him. Besides, it was a rare thing when he flexed his wry humor, not that they knew.

Tomie grumbled under her breath before stopping her head tilting to the side before a very knowing smile crossed her lips. A small laugh escaped them as she looked over at Larue.

He gave her a subtle smirk before turning back toward his coffee and taking a deliberate sip. "Not thinking about that burn anymore, anyway," he muttered against the rim, barely audible.
He was actually glad he came here today. Living with Holy Knights and children was often more serious work than he realized. The knights lacked a sense of humor, and the girls' were more absorbed in bickering than laughing with each other.

"Anyways, I'm going to go change." Tomie announced, quickly rummaging through her satchel to fish out some cloths which she scampered off towards the bathroom with.

With his second cup of coffee empty, Larue decided to call it quits. It wasn't like he needed the caffeine. He simply liked the taste. Setting the mug aside, he contemplated ordering food, but was not particularly hungry, either. Tucking a stray hair behind his pointed ear, he watched for a while. One of the reasons he preferred the company of humans to elves was their infallible ability to always be more interesting. It at least kept him from going home for the last two centuries.

Danny sighed and bent down to clean up the mess. It had been years since he’d had normal interaction with someone. Most of his conversations consisted of things like “Incoming!” and “None of your business.” He seemed to have lost his people skills.

Tomie came out, coffee soaked cloths dangling at her side and a bit out as she made sure to hold it away from her fresh cloths. She had traded the skirt for some short shorts, and instead of a tank top she had a halter top on, crimson like her lip stick. "I really need to find some better cloths next time I go out looting." She said dropping the cloths to the ground before tucking them under her seat.
"Well, at least those will smell nice." She mused before smiling, grabbing up some napkins to help mop up what was left of the mess.

“I have to admit,” Danny said, “I’ve never seen anyone wear as little as you do. Is that typical where you come from?” He stood with a heap of sopping napkins, throwing them away in the nearest rubbish bin.

Tomie shrugged straightening up. "Depends...on loot, and what you can fit into." She said before motioning down to herself. "I'm lucky enough to be able to fit into some of this smaller stuff. Plus its an advantage." She smirked.

"What makes small clothes advantageous?" Larue wondered idly from where he sat.
He wasn't used to women showing as much flesh where he was from, either. It was fairly uncommon to see knees and shoulders. Some of the warmer climates he had been to sported skimpier styles, although one had to travel for it.

“An advantage?” Danny looked at her blankly. How could wearing next to nothing give someone an… “Oh!” He felt his face get hot and hoped his blush wasn’t obvious. He’d spent too long away from the city. “I can see how that could help.”

Tomie grinned at Danny before looking at Larue. "Ask the stiff hanging out by the door." She told him before returning her stare towards Danny, her grin still present.

Realization dawned. "Ah," he replied. "So it's more of a distraction than an advantage. Clever, though. Do you worry about the exposure, though? That's a lot more unprotected flesh you have to worry about."
He didn't mind a good view every once in a while, but kept his eyes from wandering too much. It was probably only out of habit, more than anything. Court policies seemed so ingrained in him, even with a fifty year vacation from them.
