Ah, Junko was here! Siddie brightened a little; she waved back to the other ghoul and started over in that direction. And then Christof intercepted her and handed her a ... a thing. It took her a moment to recognize it. Then she dropped it with a small squeal of disgust. How many boils had worn that? Oh Jack, now she needed to wash her hands.

Everyone was picking up armor and rather odd-looking guns. Siddie hastened to follow suit, glancing guiltily at Riley. She was sorry, really she was!

Altair dropped the cup almost immediately as it was handed to him, hefting his paintball gun and straightening, smirking at Siddie under the visor of his helmet. She was cute, in a totally opaque sort of way. He sauntered over to her as she hurried to collect her armor and helmet, offering her a gun, holding the barrel in his hand and tilting up his visor.

"Don't worry, you're not that late," he assured her, winking at the ghoul, and turned to start heading outside. He was all for getting out there first and picking the best vantage point to snipe--ahem, practice shooting at targets, of course.

This was stupid. Him being here was stupid. Why was he here? WHY was he doing this? Why did he even want to do this?

Calder was lingering, late, outside the door. He had actually waited for the last person to go in, and waited to insure that it was indeed the last person, and then slowly moved towards the door. That was as far as he got. When he reached for the handle, his body froze and rejected what he was doing. He did not want to join Fitness Club.

Yes. He was on Track. Yes. He was in Swim Squad. All his clubs revolved around staying Fit, so when he saw the posters, he had been interested.

A voice slipped out, a whisper prodding his head like a dull hum, and his ears went back.

THAT was what was keeping him from just walking in. Riley. Calder was already in a club with the purple ghoul, having seen her apply for Track. They were teammates, and while he didn't like that, being in a club she ran made his skin crawl. In the club hierarchy, in this small realm of just this one club, she would somehow have authority over him. That in any regard made him want to throw up his breakfast of Granola Daisy Chain Cereal.

However, he did need to be in more clubs, he also liked working out, and he knew that the club was going to have people he didn't know. People he could meet. Possibly friends. Possibly Riley supporters he would want to kick in the shin.

Maybe he should just settle for a morning run instead.

Leaving the door, Calder moved further down the hallway and paced, weighing the pros and cons of joining Fitness Club over just sleeping in. He was doing just that when the handle to the door rattled and the noise of students approaching caught his attention.

Eeping, Calder moved to hide behind a water fountain, crouching down and tucking his tail in.

Riley waited for everyone to grab their stuff and go, before settling a helmet on her own head, and armor around her chest. She picked up a gun, checked the color of ink, put the gun down, and searched for another.

When she found a gun sporting purple paintballs, she opened the chamber to make sure it was fully stocked, and slammed it closed with the palm of her hand. She stopped at the door, and tugged on Malodore's new helmet. You look cute in there. It's a good look for you. She commented, tugging on it slightly to pull it forward and headbutt it. Then she let it go and headed out the door, turning the corner to-

CALDER.

Riley's Calder-senses tingled, and she aimed her gun at the water fountain. Sure enough, little pieces of Calder were sticking out from the side. Her gun was tilted slightly, aimed for the kill shot, ready to fire..

But she pulled it back up and draped it over her shoulder, glaring down the water fountain warily.

Everybody outside, there's targets set up. Get to practicing on shooting them. She motioned the rest of the students away, but her eyes were still on that fountain. What are you doing here, Calder?

Calder was deciding that it was too late. He attempted and now he was set. Dumb idea. Stupid idea. He'd just sit here until they left and then he'd crawl out and head back to his dorm. No one would be any the wiser, and he would later just say it was a stupid club in the first place. Perfect.

Tense, he listered as students clambered out, and glanced out to see a few in some rather strange attire. What was Riley doing?! It looked as if they were ready to go to war!

Pressing his back against the fountain, he breathed deep. Riley was taking over the students and creating a army! You saw nothing. Go to your dorm and pretend you didn't see this....and maybe board your door up after. Calder was not the hero type and he was now frigid as he waited for the sounds of shifting armor and guns to fade into the distance.

Then he heard his name, and jerked, clamping both hands over his mouth to keep him from 'eeping'. Caught!

Jack. Jack. Jack. Jack. Guardians of the Many Rivers, JACK'S GREAT GREAT AUNT, JACCCKKK!!! Breathing hard, Calder imagined standing up, casually leaning on the fountain, and pretending he was doing something like having dropped a pumpkin seed on the ground or tying his shoes.

Calder looked at his hooves.

Crap.

Knowing that time was passing and if she got no response, she would probably investigate, he removed his hands. "Meow."

Well, so much for a smooth cover-up. Now he could only hope he sounded like a convincing calico.

"HAHA HEY AT LEAST IT MATCHES-" Bul barked as he grabbed the cup with very little discomfort. HEY. s**t would hurt! Better very very safe than very very sorry. The boil grabbed his guards and gun and immediately got strapped up and ready to go before turning head to see Calder entering the scene.

"Oh, no.." he whispered to himself and planted his palm to his forehead. Why was... he there? Didn't seem like the type to be in a fitness club but.. then again...

Bul flung the gun back resting it on his shoulder and smirking. He was going to enjoy this even if it was just practice.

Riley rolled her eyes, took a few steps to stand where the fountain was no longer obstructing her vision of Calder, and returned to pointing the gun at him. This time, however, it was a lazy looking gesture.

I hate cats.

Calder has never seen a paint gun or a real gun leaving him nothing to compare or realize that what Riley was holding was not exactly the real deal. All he knew was that everyone was armed and in armor, and Riley was leading the troops. He had happened, on accident, on a secret meeting of sorts that was clearly NOT Fitness club and was now facing the leader of the group. He was cornered, trapped, and looking down a barrel. This would be exciting if I wasn't going to be shot in the face. I'll at least mess up her outfit. It was the only upside to all of this.

While he couldn't exactly look any paler than he already did, he rose his hands slowly up. Of course the one animal he picked would be the one she hated. Then again, she probably hated all animals. They were probably on her list of things to destroy with her new army. ".....woof?" Last ditch effort much?

He would have tried a horse but he was pretty sure she REALLY hated those. Just a educated guess there.

"Thankyou! and I'm glad to see you're well too" Astra said to lizzy, happy to be talking to the ghoul. Her eyes then widened when Riley shot the patchwork ignor right in the head. She..wasn't going to shoot them all like that was she? no, she just wanted to make sure they wouldn't do it themselves. She sighed in relief when they were instructed not to shoot anyone else but the targets. It seemed riley was very concerned about everyones safety, so she would have nothing to worry about!

That was until Malodore shouted out something about...gena something. Astra had...no idea what they were talking about. And judging by everyones reactions..did she really want to know? She decided not, and was planning on ignoring the whole thing until Christof came and handed her something bright red. Blinking, she held up the object wondering how she was supposed to wear it. Well, Mal did say it was for the boils, so she just assumed she wouldn't need one. Plus...it seemed a bit big for her.

Unfortunately for the fae, it seemed that...much of the equipment was going to be too big for here. As she jumped onto the table so she could put the chest guard on, she almost fell over as it ended up covering not only her chest but half her legs, as well as her wings. The helmet wasn't much better; when she put it on she found she could hardly see a thing out of it

The final object she needed was the gun, and again, she found it difficult to handle the weapon as it was quite heavy and very long, so when she eventually picked it up with both hands, the barrel was pointed skyward and then went backwards over her head, making her overbalance and fall off the table with a squeak into a heap on the floor. After a few minutes, she was able to untangle herself and, holding the gun at a very weird angle she followed everyone else outside

This...was going to be alot harder then she thought.

All in all things were starting to look pretty good, though she did flinch ever slightly as poor Christof was used as a dummy to demonstrate the harshness of a paintball to the head. So it would seem they weren't playing with kid guns.

In line with everyone else she took a helmet and armor, giving Christof the glare of death when he try to pass her a cup. Let it also be known anyone who dare aim that low Sammy would personally rifle butt them for it.

Strolling towards the practice area Sammy turned to address everyone,

"For those of you who don't know how, on the side of your gun is a switch, when you have it clicked and showing black your gun won't fire, remember to switch it so the red shows and for the love of Jack, point at the ground and not each other. Only aim it when you plan to blast someone with paint else your going to make a mess and piss Riley off."

Slowly though she made her way to Altair casually placing the barrel to the back of the demon's head, "You, let's have a little chat before you go running off..."

Sammy didn't like the way he was hitting on Shehk, and now making eyes at Siddie? Oh hell no. Not her best friend AND Ghoulfriend.

.. Had the kelpie lost his damn mind? Riley lifted the gun and set it on her shoulder again, looking up at the group filing out for a moment. She saw an armor and helmet fluttering out on it's own, and had to double-take at the sight before realizing..

Astra. She signalled the faerie to come over, and crouched down to reach out to her. As she fixed the ghoul's armor, she eyed Calder warily from a side glance.

Seriously, Calder. What are you doing here? Riley broke the front part of the armor in half. You hate me. You hate everything about me. This is my club. She broke the shoulderpads with her bare hands, cracking them until they were half their size. Then she tightened all of the strings, and finally turned to look at Astra. Her hand reached out and knocked on the ghoul's helmet. I can't do anything about this, but hopefully your armor fits better now. Off you go. She sent the ghoul on her way, and stood back up to face Calder once more.

So? What is it? Are you just here in hopes I screw up?

"Um - thank you," Siddie said, blinking up at the boil who had handed her a gun. Was he flirting with her? She wasn't ... used to that. It was kind of flattering, but she didn't quite know how to respond. If not for Sammy, she'd have flirted back, automatically, but she wasn't the sort of ghoul who got all encouraging towards others when she was already taken. But he had been nice; if he got over-friendly later, she could dissuade him then.

She trotted out towards the field with everyone else, silently and thoroughly grateful that Riley either hadn't noticed her lateness or had decided not to scold her.

Altair was feeling pretty good about life, hefting his gun and standing where he could see Sammy. He glanced at his gun, checking for the switch she mentioned and smirked, flicking it to red and lowering his visor. The incubus turned to choose a target when he suddenly felt the pressure of something solid and hard at the back of his head. He didn't need to look to know that it was a gun.

Clearing his throat, he paused, not trying to provoke a headshot, and lowered his gun. "Problem, officer?" he asked innocently, his voice distorted by the helmet.

"Ah there's that safety switch!" Demi cried out after overhearing the tip. "Thanks" he replied simply with a bow before walking out to meet that others at the training grounds. The hound doubled checked his bindings to make sure everything was fastened correctly and looked around for a decent place to get a few practice shots in.

And maybe a place with some cover in case things get dicey, he didn't really trust the skinwalker and the demon all that well, not to mention West was here and it really was might tempting to nail a few shots at the perpetually grumpy demon.

"Bul, didn't think you were so fashion forward to be concerned about matching sport attire." he said jokingly from a few meters away, snapping the visor shut on his helmet before flipping that safety switch off. "Rock n' roll."

Casually Sammy draped an arm over Altair's shoulder, her gun lowering to her side, the safety very much off like in the demonstration. "Well buddy it's rather simple..." Lazily she gestured towards Shehk, "That's my best friend Shehk, and by extents, Nuk is also a very good friend. Now what ever pissing match you have with him over her you should... you know, stop. Since if you do anything to ruin them, I'll ruin you." Next she gestured towards Siddie, "And if I see you smirking, leering, oogling, eying, stalking, or hitting on in anyway on my ghoulfriend I'll shove this pretty little toy where nothing shines and damn the rules I will fire, and Riley can complain all she wants it will be very, vrey worth it."

With a very heavy pat to the back Sammy released Altair, "So are we clear on the, 'don't hit on my best friend and ghoul friend,' or are you more like Nuk who sometimes needs a lesson beaten into his thick skull?"

The last part was delivered ever so cheerfully, she did so enjoy heads and hitting them till they got the point. Was it the way to make friends? No, but friends don't hit on your best friend and ghoulfriend either. Unless they were Riley, and only then because you hit on her back.
