The tikbalang rolled his shoulders back, bare feet pawing at the ground before he simply charged ahead. No guts, no glory. ((randonimity))

Jove had managed to find a seat just outside Red's area of observation, scowling as one by one students made their way through the shark-infested field. No way was Jove going to cross that field unless he had to. He had already been shark bait once, and it was not fun. It was not fun at all. He wouldn't admit it, but being grabbed by the skitter shark had scared him halfway to his second death. Hop to it? When it looked like she was about to look his way, Jove did just that, leaping to his feet and wiping dirt off his pants. He really didn't want to go across that frightening field one more time, but if he didn't, who knows what he would do to him... At least he had been watching the other students closely, and would make his best attempt... Taking a deep breath, he ran as fast as he could across the field and hoped he didn't draw the sharks' attention. ((My profile name is Grey. =3))

One more shot? He was only going to have to do this one more time? Thank Jack. West clapped his hands once and was off. Halfway through his run he began to yell. "HHRRAAAAAGHHGHGHGHAAAFFFF!" (( smerdle ))

Oh how he hated sharks, he really, really hated sharks. A frustrated huff, a snap of his tail, Sheridan crossed his arms as he looked out across the field. He stood at the edge of the field for several moments, contemplating which path was most likely to take him across. He was on the right track, that much he was sure of. However close as he may have been (according to the professor), it was clearly not close enough. Alright, one more try. Maybe if he stepped there instead of there, and then there... If there was one good thing about this, at least he'd only have to see the shark one more time...until the next class that is... Sin had watched and frowned as her fellow classmates were gobbled into the jaws of skittersharks, herself included much to her misery. Last chance huh? She stepped onto the path and then went for it desperation driving her straight forward at the end hoping against hope that she would be fast enough to make it, not that speed seemed to help any, then again neither did slow caution. In Red's class it was apparently either sink or swim, with the skittersharks.

After being tragically swallowed and spat up once again, Colette got up and tried to wipe off any gross remnants of the creature. She was almost there and so close! This was their last try. She wanted to make it count.
Colette jogged out onto the field following her former path, with a few adjustments to follow the footsteps of her other classmates of course. However, the Grim Reaper wasn't immune to any nerve wrecking feelings when she came closer to the end and felt the pressure. Just a few more steps.. Instead of diverting, she made a straight path towards the end.

It was final. Path finding was definitely not one of the black dog's strong points. Much like most other things he had recently discovered weren't. Even after Red had so kindly given them many clues, he was still oblivious. Which wasn't hard to believe. It would take a giant board with an arrow to point him in the right direction. Unfortunately, life didn't give you giant boards with arrows. So he was left trying to figure it out for himself.
Shrugging and giving a weak toothy grin, Tybalt stepped out onto the field once again. Cautiously taking each step forward and looking for those jaws that were likely to pop up with the first wrong step.

This was it... his last chance. Something that Red was screaming from the side lines though convinced Bul that he really was at the wrong pathway and decided to change his route to where the students were clearing the field with more success.

Whisper was probably scared for life at this point. Never had she been eaten this many times...well ever. It was demoralizing and frustrating. This was her last try, and she wanted to make it across so badly. There had to be a path right? Professor Red said there was, so there had to be. For the last time Whisper took a step forward and hoped to all Jack that she would succeed. [Mini's name is Getsurae]

At this rate, Astra was going to become used to being eaten. ..Maybe Being spit up for the umpteenth time, She managed to not sit there and make a spectacle of herself and listened to Reds instructions. They only had..one more chance? What would happen if she got it wrong? She didn't want to know. Thinking again about her route, she ventured out on the grassy swamp and ran across the field. There was a method to this madness.
Clearly, from the mistakes that other students had made, there were a few possibilities open to try. Riley had begun to map out the different options and their probability ratios..
But then she threw her hands up.
Jericho, wait up. She muttered darkly, and simply followed the path her best friend had taken. If she was going to go down, at least she wouldn't go down alone. ((F10, F9, F8, E8, D8, D9, C9, B9, B8, B7, C6, C5, C4, C3, C2, C1)) ((Minis profile: Alania))

Chobi_Chocobo This class was proving to be terrifying! Was she really going to give it another go? Tahki watched from the side lines for a bit watching the other students go forward. Part of her wanted to hide behind something but she knew she had to. Unlucky for Tahki ,before she could start her path, she slipped up and fell on her butt. The gryphons skull pin fell lose and then poof. Where a beautiful young teen ghoul was sat a rather intimiating looking gryphon. Eight Junko had been sitting on the sidelines stewing with silent fury. This was not cool. She had done as Red said. She'd followed the path that totally should have been the answer. But noooooo! Stupid skitter sharks. She was glaring at Red, eyes narrowed and cheeks puffed as she bore a hole into Red's soul. Stupid Red. Stupid field. Stupid skitter sharks. Stupid...skull pin? Junko blinked and looked down at the pin suddenly on her lap, picking it up and tilting her head. Wait! This was a student's pin! Chobi_Chocobo Tahki was hot on the trail of her skull pin, sniffing the ground like a blood hound might. It was ... in the hands of another ghoul? The white gryphon lifted her head and blinked. Eight Whose pin was this? She looked up and around to find the owner. That was when she spotted the large white gryphon. Welp, that was a pretty safe guess right there. "Um...is this yours..?" She held up the skull pin for her to see. Chobi_Chocobo It was her pin! Rather then tell Junko that yes it was indeed her pin Tahki , a little overly excitedly, lowered her head and bucked Junko on to her back. The next thing tahki knew she was flying, not very high, across the field after the other students. Wait.. had she... What? ((Eight's account: Eight Chobi's account: chobichocobo))

Being eaten by a skittershark was being put on Mandys list of 'REALLY NOT FUN LETS NOT DO THIS AGAIN, OK?' things, right near the top.
It was no suprise with that opinion that Mandy decided to once employ her stragey of sitting back and watching where the others went, it was so not time for her to shiver in disgust and recover her nerves ok.
Still despite what everything screamed inside her when Professor Red called out the last round she hauled herself and took off, carefully following Astra's path seeing as she seemed to be the one to follow.
Hopefully it didn't lead her into a skittershark nest.

Drowning. She was drowning. DEFINITELY DROWNING. This was so much worse than a bath on so many levels - the squishy mess she'd sunk into wasn't nearly as easy to move in, and it almost felt like the viscous liquid was sucking her down even more determinedly. She tried for a doggie paddle, or maybe just treading mud, but to no avail. Fortunately, unbeknownst to her, help was on the way. You have been sharked.A certain manticore ghoul made a rather hasty transition from being swallowed by the merciless and muddy swamp waters to being swallowed by something only slightly more organic. Suddenly she was presented with rows and rows of pearly whites, not unlike her own. At least she wasn't drowning anymore, she supposed. She started to stick her head down it's throat - looking for an exit that didn't involve teeth - when suddenly it's muscles contracted and her head got stuck. She panicked, flailing her hands and feet, and finally BITING into whatever bits she could reach. It made for a bit of a bumpy ride back to the other side of the field. By the time Cady crawled out of the skittershark's impressive maw, many of the other students had already braved the field again. She watched their progress, trying to block out flashbacks of being swallowed. She was particularly enthusiastic about the few students who VERY NEARLY made it across. She whooped, hollered and cheered them on- right into the skittersharks. She winced. Maybe the yelling had called them. She tentatively began tracing her own footsteps, but made a few key changes in her path, following what she'd hoped was the one the more successful students had taken. She watched her step moreso this time - she didn't want to revisit the swamp. She peered around the field, judging the progress of the others. She had to admit, she hadn't really thought swamps and sharks would factor in a gym class. ((minis profile is ravvlet))
